I just want you to know I have been watching your tutorials for a long time and you did for me what my Mom could not... You taught me how to crochet. Thanks for the outstanding tutorials
Hi!! i love your videos although since i don't know all of my stitches like the half double and like that, sometimes i have trouble but very rarely!! anyway i wanted to ask you if there is a different stitch that comes after the quadruple stitch and where i can find instructions to it. i saw how there was one stitch called the treble treble but i don't know if that's the correct one. Your vids are gr8!! love yuu :)
@Xox0TwiLiGhTGuRlXox0 Thank you. This stitch would also be known as the double-triple. The stitch after would be the triple-triple. The just keep going but I have not seen them named after the triple-triple. If you are comfortable working long stitches, you can wrap as many around your hook as you would like. I have worked 10 loops with crochet cotton and had great success.
The standard instructions will be a chain 4, which counts as your first stitch. I have found that the extra chains will cause a hole at the beginning so you can work a chain 3. You must remember the chain 3 is a stitch and to crochet in the top of it at the end of the next row.
it has been many years since i last crocheted anything and i really appreciate your refresher course... i also love the designs you post... do you ever do any tutorials for needle point?
I just love your video's. I watched this one Friday and have made two scarfs already using just this stitch. They turned out so light and airy I think I will make a baby blanket for a friends shower.
Something else I was thinking about with the longer stitch is that you could weave in-between the stitches with a crochet strip(ribbon)or other machine washable media.
I am going to be using this stitch in an upcoming demonstration in a yarn granny square. It is used a lot in the fine thread doily's most of the time. You will see the purpose once I get the demonstration complete.
is there a certain type of yarn that you woulkd recfommend to use to do this stitch.. cause i am finding the yarn i am useing a lil to loose

what would you use this stitch to make, for example?
1221Ivy 1 year ago
@1221Ivy It can be used with anything. The longer stitches like this one are more common with thread doily's.

You can chain 5 or chain 4 to eliminate some of the excess that the chain may produce.
