@guitardude671 That's due to the recording.... Presumably a built in mic and a low amp volume hence you also get some really bassy lows... Now a DI would cancel that out although DI can give a lot of electrical hum...

Generally the Korean and Japanese models of the Epiphone LP will say "Gibson" on the truss rod cover. All Epiphone production is now based in China though, as far as I know, and these will not say Gibson on them. As far as I can tell Gibson is trying to keep enough distance between themselves and Epiphone so that Gibson is still looked at as the God of guitars. But yeah I hope that answers your question, mine also says what your's does on the T-rod cover.

Yeah its an awesome guitar! I'm sure you'll love it! I swapped out the pickups on mine for Di'Marzio's (See side bar). I also unscrewed the scratch plate. I finally pulled of the switch surround using a pick. I just wedged it under...makes it look really meettalll! D

Its the red setting. Not to much mids, don't let the bass dull your sound and don't use too much gain...it will just make it sound really fizzy.

The vibrato is just to add effect, but to get the basic pinch I lightly touch the string with the side of my thumb just after picking it so that its harmonic rings out.
