at 0:37 the sirens start. The siren you herd is a Whelen 2810 siren in Wail mode. and at 2:30 the horn you hear is a Spectralert Classic in code 3. It is a fire alarm.
Man Tornadoes are freaky.... as shit. dont yall agree? Memphis has a history of strong tornadoes- But the only thing on RECORD is in greensburg- tragic day- but memphis on the other hand has a history of strong dangerous twisters and usually get like maybe 500 a year. or more,
It obviously had just happened, as you were there before any fire/ems and about the same time as the first cop got there, so why didn't you get out and see if anyone was trapped under that wall? And I beleive they are running because of the tornado sirens in the background.. Good bet since you can hear them in the background, and they had just been through one.
OMFRG I REMEMBER THAT!!! I went to the movies when the sirens started and i bwas BEGGING my dad to go home!!! But he said, "No ur going tot he movies" so i did but when i sat down the movie lady told us to leave or get down on the floor coveirng my heads. I WAS FREAKED! I ran to my dad outside and we left and the the tornado passed straight in front of us knocking off the street lights and there were electric wires on the rode. I swear i wouldve fainted if my friend wasnt with me.
Look for Kohl's store sales to drop as MVC customers are jumping ship they took free shipping away after having the loyalty benefit for 3 years it's all on Facebook Kohl's Fan page and Topixdotcom Kohl's FANS - NOT
When you here a tornado described as sounding like a freight train, thats exactly right. I was working at Gordmans when it hit my store. Thank God nobody was hurt at my store, Kohls, or anywhere else. I don't ever want to experience something like that again. Scary stuff.
Dang.. Its been a busy summer here so far. I was on I-40 close to Whitten when all of this went down and traffic had slowed down to about 30mph because of all the rain. Good thing no lives were lost like last February.
this was scary as fuck. i wasn't there, but the storm affected a lot of memphis including where i was at the time. they kept cutting into the broadcast and into the radio every ten minutes and everyone was just terrified. if i'm not mistaken they spotted at least three tornadoes that day but i think this one is the only one that touched down.
It looks like the fireman that was putting up the yellow tape heard something. He kept looking over to where everyone started running, but it also looks like some time may have lapsed between him putting up the tape and everyone running. Hutshop, do you know what happened?
omg one of my teachers were in there when it hit and she and a lady and her 2 daughters started praying. like that helped calm everybody down for awhile. and my parents were over buffola wild wings not far from there. & does anybody know what they were running after at the end??
You should have walked into Kohls and started shopping
