  • mind...blown.......

  • well thats neat !

  • I think its Adobe After Effects ;)

  • guys i have an important question .........i know how to do light graffiti but how would you do it so its like a video because when i do it its just a picture help please/

  • how do you do taht

  • no, spider has eight legs no six!! :DD

  • hey when i try do light paint cannot stop i have to continously and my hand writing doesnt come so.. well i have to write in cursive..how do you stop and do it?

  • How did you make it look like the camera recorded you, but took a picture of the light?

  • where did you buy it???

  • WOOW IT'S AMAZING! I WANT TO HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THIS

  • For me the first word that I would write in light painting is FUCK. Just saying.. XD

  • I want a light spider as a pet :(

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    DOPE!!!

  • How to do it in VIDEOS? 0.o

  • spiders are supposed to have eight legs...

  • i too think its made in post production... so... after effects =)

  • can someone tell me wot the lights they are using??? i want to get sum :P

  • @Tall7kiwi I believe they're 'electric' lights. :P

  • @takkuroha and all :

you how to do it on video? and with what kind of camcorder do you?? thank you

  • called after effects.

  • the spider is awesome :P

  • hes drawing on a glass

  • How do you make it a video???

  • can you help me?

I can make light long 1/2000 more not?

    Is it okay?

    My ISO ist automatly

  • @SawMister dude.. that is fast

  • this can be easily done, even with a phone camera. the trick is removing all the dark parts of each frame and keeping the most bright parts (this can be easily done in aftereffects using extract keying) then blending frames over time(using time blend effect). then you will need to add it on top of the original video. and it will look exactly like this.

  • so cool but i wana lern how to do that

  • yeah! really cool ;D

but i#vegot a question... when i have the effect echo everything gets an echo... in your vid, only the light gets one... know waht i mean?! how do u du it??! THX

  • damnit I was at a club and they had a set up like this, I was able to walk around with a flashlight and write stuff in the air (it wasn't a picture taken with a long exposure).. but I still don't understand how this works!

  • song name?? thanks :)

  • Ha, this reminds me of Playstation Move's Beat Sketcher.

  • I don't know what that had to do with a car, but its cool nonetheless!

  • who cares if its fake or theyre just good at what they do, either way this is a great video

  • como lo haces?

  • teach us wise one please!

  • Yeah. This is fake.

Check out the part where he does the blue lines above the hydrant.

The lines go infront of the actual light.

    haha. busted.

gonna make a bust movie nao.lata.

  • @ki11joy92 This is not fake :) they're just proffesionals :)

  • Haha! Nice :D

  • how does he record the art ??

  • HACKS!

  • i don't think this would be possible to do without some sort of editing in a program afterwards. i really don't believe the description of the video is telling the truth at all that it was made live on camera, especially for around 0:17 - 0:23 where you don't even see him making it. and when he's drawing the spiders legs you can pause at points and see that the light isn't even in the same spot as the flashlight (i paused at 0:32 and can see it clearly.)

  • @Tylurnol and i thought that he draw he's candle behind the base of his drawing, but the light appeared on the top of the base of the drawing (0:40 - 0:42) @_@

  • Cool effects =) really nice vid ;D

  • OMFG ITS FAKE HES USING ADOBE AFTER AFFECTS CUZ HE CANT DO IT FER REAL tard

  • @BLUYES422 is he saying that its real?

  • @BLUYES422 It was simply many thousands of pictures put together...

  • @seafome1 i don't even think thats how it was done, i think it is 1 light painting done in complete blackness and in a program they filtered out the black and overlapped it onto a video of this guy tracing it and animated the light painting so that it looked like he was drawing it... tried my best to explain that not sure if it makes sense or not :P but BLUYES422 is probably right

  • how did u do that did u overlap the video or is it because the light burns into the film ..? i dont get that ...?

  • I REALLLY WANT THIS PROGRAM IF SOMEONE HELPS ME FIND THIS EXECT ONE I WILL SUB TO THEM AND DO WAT EVER THEY WANT

  • how to light paint?

  • cool

  • I understand how to do this in still photography but how do you do this in video? Is it all in post?

Let me know please I'd love to experiment with this. This video was really kool though thanks.

  • so cool, because they cant see it in real ^^

  • the spider did not have enough legs

  • you type in google Light Painting thats the technique.

  • I want a luma2solator but can't find out how to get one?!?!

  • @leptir1

have you figured out how to get a luma2solator yet? ive googled it but i havent been able to find anything yet

  • nope. Nothing anywhere, looks as if though its exclusive for now to the people that made it. I dont know, sorry!

  • @leptir 1

ah ok that kinda blows--btw i have a nikon D3000 its an SLR and has a bulb setting...i just dont know how to keep it open after i release my finger off the trigger..do i need to buy an additional piece of gear to keep it open?

  • @vampir3blood - buy a simple remote for it. that is if it has the remote function. I have a D90 and what I do is put it on "bulb", then press the remote once, then one more time whenever I want to stop. it takes a while to load the picture though.

  • @leraginasian

thanks for the info...how much do remotes run?

  • @vampir3blood - A remote can vary in price, as some remotes offer many functions. My remote is very simple, and only acts as a "shutter button". I've heard that using a remote that isn't tuned to your specific camera can cause malfunctions in your camera. I am not certain of this though. Google! :)

  • @leraginasian

ahhah yah ill deff. look into google..how much did you get yours for?

  • @vampir3blood mine was a christmas present so I don't know. I think between 25-50. I don't imagine a simple remote being more than 50 but I could be wrong. go to your camera's brand website.

  • @leraginasian

ok will do, thanks for all the help dude!

  • @vampir3blood surely!

  • there is so little information on this online, but i spent hours looking. They are not lying- its not after effects or any other VFX program. It would be hard to get such an organic look to it. They are doing it in camera.

The technique is called Lumasol and the hardware is called Luma2solator. It seems they spent time doing light writing using the 360cameras in a circle setup they used in the matrix and that somehow evolved to developing this. I wish they'd share.

  • tete

  • how do you get it for video?? i only know how to do it with photography

  • I turned the shutter speed down to 4 frames per second. I was able to get about 1/2 to 2/3rds of a circle. Simplified cameras might need to white balance in extreemly low light. My bet is there are a few layers here or a very high end video camera in use such as one that could photograph the moon in time lapse and yet still see craters on the surface.

  • Agreed, i want to be able to do that.

I think you might be able to do it with after effects but idk i will look that up right now.

  • well thats a given, u can really do anything in AE and i know over at video copilot they even have a light strokes tutorial, that and a few masks should do the trick. but this is with live video and very little post production (according to the description)

  • @whyismykittyabutt55 you can't do this with video

  • @whyismykittyabutt55 he just moves his arms, then he paints in some kind of photoshop. soo coolllll

  • @NarutoMaster016 I am not sure this is true. . It can be done with still photography, I just don't know about live video.

  • Comment removed

  • @poeli1 you're a dumbass

  • @whyismykittyabutt55

    Shoot many photos.

  • @whyismykittyabutt55 most likey recording and taking pictures then editing them together

  • @whyismykittyabutt55 in after effects there's an effect called "echo" it does it automatically, with some settings

  • @whyismykittyabutt55

I have written an effect which does this, see kdenlive. org/users/granjow/writing-light-graffiti-effect

Basically what it does is find out which is a light source (bright) and which is background (darker), and stores the light in a mask that is afterwards painted over the whole image.

I assume they are doing more or less the same. Just directly in-camera, as they write.

  • @whyismykittyabutt55 @MyLoLHUN1993 he masks out the light and apply something called a called a echo effect and lay it over the original footage in after effects. i do this all the time. many people say its not after effects. but it is not possible to capture only the light of the flashlight, every other motion will also be captured.

  • @notsogreatwarrior Does he add the echo effect on his camera or on After Effects or something?

  • @whyismykittyabutt55 yes!! i have the same question!! :/

  • @JorgeEduardoYxcot YES!! I have the same too!

  • How did you get the of line to stay visible on the screen for so long?

I have tried a achieve a similar effect video but with no such luck. Did you have to use AfterEffects or other sfx software?
