I have a dumb cane that has grown to almost 9 feet tall and it is starting to bend, can someone please tell me how to cut it back. It looks like a palm tree and almost don't fit in my house anymore. @lbainer154 : Dear lorri i m aslo a big fan of this plant n i have many species of Dieffen.if ur plant's height is more then 3/4 feet then it definitely bent down so u have to cut its stem in to small portion ie 4 or 5 inches and submurged in soil in seprate pots.But u have to make cut at NODE or circles which are located through out the stem.The top portion of plant is again propogate in a separate pot to led a new life.Root portion of mother plant should remain in old pot, it'll make new leave
