I live in Southern Florida, where it's rodeo country. Peoples' lives revolve around rodeos. Us "hicks" don't get a kick out of watching an animal die right before our eyes. Its a timed event to see who can get a glass of milk first from a wild cow. the animal is not hurt in the least and its funny to watch people get hurt. I can't believe this! I have never even heard of this perverse sport. I am appalled, I have a pet cow named Trixy and she is like a big fluffy dog. I can go out into the pasture walk up and put a halter on her and lead her around. She loves when I sit next to her, when she is laying down, to read. Bathing and clipping the long hair on her face, her favorite in the cattle blower. (a cow blow dryer) There is no excuse for that treatment, they have feelings too.

These rodeos do not hurt or exploit these animals any more then football, wrestling etc. These rodeos are a tribute to the cowboys and pioneers that founded this country. The animals used in these events are conditioned and trained for the events. Just like any other animal performance. I have personally watched them train the horses for the Bronc Riding. The animals are well taken care of the only ones getting hurt is the cowboys I don't see the problem.

Well if you'de go back and study how a ranch works some first calf heifers reject thier calf and or older cows that die in calving. The pourpose of this is the fact that sometimes in order to nourish those that have been "orphaned" is to be able to feed them, and YES it happens this way on ranches QUITE A BIT! Its a timed event to see who can get a glass of milk first from a wild cow. the animal is not hurt in the least and its funny to watch people get hurt. I can't believe this! I have never even heard of this perverse sport. I am appalled, I have a pet cow named Trixy and she is like a big fluffy dog. I can go out into the pasture walk up and put a halter on her and lead her around. She loves when I sit next to her, when she is laying down, to read. Bathing and clipping the long hair on her face, her favorite in the cattle blower. (a cow blow dryer) There is no excuse for that treatment, they have feelings too.

These rodeos do not hurt or exploit these animals any more then football, wrestling etc. These rodeos are a tribute to the cowboys and pioneers that founded this country. The animals used in these events are conditioned and trained for the events. Just like any other animal performance. I have personally watched them train the horses for the Bronc Riding. The animals are well taken care of the only ones getting hurt is the cowboys I don't see the problem.
