Navarre is just a translation of his name, his real name is Nabarl.

Navarre and Nabarl are the exact same name in Japanese. They just romanized it differently in the remake (DS). Navarre Was the original Official romanization. Like Mars, they changed it for no apparent reason. Technically, Nabal is the 'right' name taken from mythology (Nabal is killed by God for defying King David of Israel in the Bible)

nevall. or Nevarre depending on the translation (Nevarre I believe if the official rominization of his name, though I could be wrong). He's the first, and even comes with a Killer sword when you get him in FE1. I think it's the same in the remake (FE3).

Yeah. My Devil's Advocate note: there were no Fencers/Swordmasters in FE1 or FE3. Navarre was a Mercenary. Of course, FE1 Mercenaries have Strength ratings that just feel awful.

However, Navarre was equipped with a Kill Sword during Chapter 3 (when you could recruit him) in FE1.

No, he's not Karel. Karel talks too much. That guy is the first of the traditional sword fighters that start out as an enemy with a killing edge, then join you early in the game. He is Navarre. He's an awsome unit.. except there is no sword master class in fe 3 :[ just hero

this part of episode 2 is all about chapter 2 of fire emblem 1. too bad I cant dismount the red and green knights and put them in robes like in the anime:P you can dismount them in fe 3 however. and the mercenary that comes with you got killed on the first turn... he so cannot stand up to 3 pirates like in the anime. dont worry, i'm making him a lot better.

Dismounting....I wish it would be balanced out. Then Kain and Abel would be able to provide faster support indoors, and be able to dismount when preparing an attack.

As for Oguma....sounds like he is balanced out somewhat. Though to be honest, Mercenaries feel somewhat weak in FE1. >_>
