I've got a bunch of footage from a recent ride with five of us to the WSBK in Phillip Island through the snowy mountains, yarra ranges, great ocean road etc. About 5,500km over 8 days. Just going through stuff now and hope to have a couple of good ones up before much longer.
Thanks for that. The leaves are starting to build up a bit on parts of it now due to the lack of traffic which is a bit of an issue at times. But definitely a favourite piece of road close to Sydney. And who can go past Pink Floyd...
Man I thought the road was closed! a camcorder on a cardboard "L" on chest can have good results as well. I got the ATC but my early vids are the svhs cam, better for dry days.
:) I'm checking out some of yours at the moment. What's the details of your svhs cam, would like to check other video setups. Nice bike BTW, my first ever ride was on a Bantam :)
common prob with them is wobbly video caused by vibration in the bike (being a BMW it vibrates quite a lot). I persisted and found a very rigid mount in the front of the fairing. vid was shot at 640x480 30fps. Looks much better in native AVI but I only have Movie Maker for conversion at the moment U tube has issues with wmv format which accounts for less than ideal resolution. Still playing but too date I am very happy with my ATC2K purchase. Bought it on ebay for about $130 bucks aust.
Nice one mate, I know the road very well, ride on it often. I am considering getting one of those ATC2K's what do you think of them. This video - what settings did you use? Is this the highest quality available or is this just to suit youtube? Nice song too! Watch out for the hordes of dickheads on pushbikes up there champ.

Yep, road closed to residents only. There is some bridge wash out right up the other end, which happened ages ago now.
