I saw Jimmy at the Roosevelt Hotel as Marilyn in 1987. He was unbelievable and he was starting to get a name for himself as there was papparazzi there and celebrities. I also saw him at the Rose Tatoo or Studio One. I have never seen anything like him. His makeup is flawless and his singing is just her and the look is unreal.

Plus, I just wanted to add here that as a longtime fan of JJ, I think he pulled this off so effortlessly, even though he HAD to have known that Wayne was NOWHERE in his league. My gods, the man LIPSYCNCHED!!!! Any drag queen in any bar in town can get up on stage and do that!!! And he was in La Cage!!! Unbelievable. He was atrocious. They put him with that drag queen who looked more like Dolly Parton's brother in DRAG than an impersonator!

It's really funny to see girls in drag sitting next to him on a talk show, especially when the hosts start asking questions. You can see the girls next to him squirm and wince because the hosts are so intrigued with the illusion. I can only imagine how irritating it would be to be sitting next to Marilyn incarnate when you're obviously just a drag queen. Even if you're a fantastic queen Jimmy still nailed it harder than anyone EVER has.
