JUMP UP AND DOWN!!!! is this guy crazy??? Why??? Jumping up and down is a good way to break a treestand. If you want to make sure your treestand is safe to use just visualy check the treestand. Make sure nothing is rusted, bent, or cracked, and check that none of the straps are torn or twisted. Then place the stand low in a tree and give it a test run, just sit in it at a low spot on the tree for 15 mins. or so.

If you guys have the pull straps like that is on that stand, DO NOT TRUST IT. Put a GOOD ratchet strap on it. Don't buy the cheap thin ones, spend the money and get a good one. Hunting is not worth your life.

I shot my biggest buck with a flinter sitting just 5 feet off the ground. Since it became legal here in Mich I hunt much higher, but what he is saying here will work. Give the guy some slack!

what you want to do is have a safety hareness tied on the tree then put your climbing sticks up while movin you harness up then pull the stand up with rope then strap the stand to the tree the harness will keep you on the tree and let you use both hands to strap the tree stand to the tree

To get it up in the tree you gotta buy a special ladder too, the ladder attaches to the tree.. make sure its not loose and climable... then take the stand up the ladder with you and slowly put it in place, Or if you dont wanna do that.. just buy a ladder stand.. A ladder stand is a ladder with a seat on top, Or a climbing treestand.. with a climbing treestand you just hook it up at the bottom and climb up yourself
