  • @butanuku some of that wasn't american

  • Comment removed

  • @GlamoursFever I totally agree with you. It really annoys me when the first thing people think when they think american food is sloppy fast food, and if that's all you try when you come here that's all you will see our food as., But if you try you can realize that we have great food to. But we all know the best american food is the sloppy kind. Baby back ribs and sloppy joes.just make sure you don't get them the fast food way!

  • In this video people are asking what is traditional american food, so am I, so what it is? Is it kind of like there is non really like whole culture is bit here and there nothing oroginal.....im not offensive but just asking

  • @TheSuzane27 How do I put this . . . most countries have a single, overarching culture. The United states has regional cultures with regional cuisines. What might be available and commonly eaten in Northern California for instance (e.g. a chicken dish with avocados), would probably not be as widely eaten in the South East (pecan pie). As far as originality, the United States has many culinary influences. But no country or culture has an "original" cuisine.

  • @wintereis57 thats my slant on this too.....it is really hard to say what american food is, especially these days.....i mean, American food is Italian, Mexican, Asian, indian.......and like you said....it depends on the part of the country. People in europe just don't fathom that The USA is 3000 miles wide, 300 million people of many ethnic groups

  • I love American food it is the absolute best in the world!

  • @GlamoursFever Americans have no food culture. I watch famos amicans food shows on television and everybody is using conserves and nost fresh vegetebles. Im sorry but americans and english people have no colture with food art and culture compared to latin people

  • I went to America once and loved the food. One complaint though - the portions are too big. Oh, and another complaint - hold back on the cinnamon a little.

  • @sandrodream1 you are too brainwashed im not wasting my time on you

ciao ma vaffanculo testa di uccello coglione americano ....

  • man what a euro-phile retard

  • @sandrodream1 all you are trying to do is antagonize, back peddle and delete your prior comments here,

please die of Cancer, BUT FAST"!!!!!

Iits not the fault of Americans if you only went to a candy shop and Burger king on your trip to USA- we dont call those restaurants either.

youve made that obvious by listing "cola and chewing gum" as American FOOD (you didnt say "fast food" before..

from a strictly intellectual point of view you are boring

    go away.

the water in usa doesnt taste good?

  • @sandrodream1 YOU FORGOT: ma vaffanculo testa di uccello coglione americano :

ITS NOT the fault of Americans if you are too stupid and lazy to figure out that in USA there are also fruits, meats, and vegetables- that said , TOMATOES for example WERE INTRODUCED to Italy after Europeans invaded the new found land. something els you would be too stupid and lazy to learn about beccause you are too busy with your obnoxious cliches

  • @sandrodream1 PLEASE DIE OF CANCER; THANK YOU!

  • deffaintly not a man of your words

  • @sandrodream1 oic, you have deleted all your ignorant rants about USA AND ITS FOOD AND PEOPLE so that you could then write this to make yourself look better and feel better

FAIL! because this comment wont be deleted,

  • @sandrodream1 I GUESS YOU ARE HERE TO IMPROVE YOUR PUBLIC IMAGE; YES ?

  • @sandrodream1 you are an asshole so shut the fuck up.

that said you could spend more time improving your education instead of making a kunt out of yourself on youtube

    ps .

    please die of cancer

  • @sandrodream1 stereotype of foreigners confirmed! beam me up scotty!

  • @sandrodream1 ignorance is nothing to be proud of

  • I think it's all about choosing the right and healthier kind of food. I mean, burgers, chips, cupcakes and stuffs like these are sold in Europe too and also many European people eat bad most of the time, it's not just an American matter.

And what about obesity? I'm Italian and, even if our food is the most loved in the world, there is a big percentage of obese people here too!

I don't think that Americans are forced to eat junk food, it depends on their own choice.

  • So if I went to Spain and got bread I didn't like I'd say Spain bread is no good? No. America is full of individual businesses. Restaurants for example and the owners of those places are responsible for what their food tastes like. All places will be different. Bread can be made in so many ways, for example. So what I'm saying is, this video sucks.

  • @Electrictronic agreed. i live in spain and notice everyone wants to say american food is all crap and its all the same. look how big the usa is... we have so many different types of food and styles and what not. this video is full of stereotypes. narrowminded!

  • @terrico16zgz first of all, yes

and secondly ive traveled the world over spain included and really order food in a restaurant in Spain you get a huge slab of meat, a piece of broccoli the size of a nickle or a rusty piece of Iceberg lettuce.

    enjoy your meal!

  • @Electrictronic you're damn right!!

  • @Electrictronic it's just more arrogant europeans bashing America. Fuck europe and their shit culture.

  • what has been put out as American food is horrible but that's exactly it. we eat horrible, horrible food.

  • @XxgraveravexX speak for yourself kunt face and get off your fat ass and do something procative rather than sitting on youtube with a can of pringles and bitching

you are the typical hypocrite american

  • @poosaypirate why would i be eating what i hate? also, why are you wasting your time going threw pages of comments when you youself could be doing something "procative"?

the least you could do is spell cunt right.

  • @XxgraveravexX YOU are the one who said "We eat horrible food" kunt face.

my work is done here. this is getting to be a circular conversation with a retard fast and easy

  • @poosaypirate we, not i. nice to see this is your job.

  • @XxgraveravexX OBVIOUSLY!! I dont see anyone else taking care of cultural custody here .

not only does your understanding of your own national cuisine suck as much as the idiots in this video, but your mastery of English and communication skills only confirms my former accusation that you are an idiot.

pro-active in this instance means setting the record straight with morons

  • @XxgraveravexX and while you are handing out lessons on how to spell the word KUNT; you might want to tell me what threw pages are - some one threw them at you?

ill spell kunt with a K all I want, its a product of rational deliberation , where as , " threw pages" is just one of the many examples of your lack of English skills

  • @XxgraveravexX SO HOWS YOUR PRINGLES ????

  • @poosaypirate how are your english lessons going?

  • @XxgraveravexX shut up fat american!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! go eat a hamburger and read a bible and shut up fat american fat american fat american go read a bible

  • @poosaypirate i'm guessing i'm fat

  • @XxgraveravexX good girl, improve your English and learn about your own culture ..

understand the impact of pride, and in the mean time dont talk to people about your nation or nationality, just keep the trap shut

  • @poosaypirate who says i'm a chick and where does pride come in to all of this?

  • @XxgraveravexX not only fat, but stupid. typical American

go eat your pringles some more, American and watch some Primetime TV to pickle ur brain a little more so you dont really think about the impact your urine has on the natural environment from all that "diet soda" you are drinking go to sleep would you

  • @poosaypirate atleast reply in order of my words

  • @XxgraveravexX SHUT UP FATTIE

  • @XxgraveravexX GO TO MCDONALDS AND BE QUIET

  • @poosaypirate what do you have against americans?

  • @XxgraveravexX NO SENSE OF PRIDE; SELF RESPECT ; OR AWARENESS OF THE OWN CULTURE; FAT STUFF

    STILL EATING PRINGLES?

    - OH AND NO FOOD CULTURE

    DING DONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    THIS MEANS YOU!

    HONK! HONK!

  • Comment removed

  • @poosaypirate so you enjoy stereotyping. good to know what kind of erson i'm working with.

  • @XxgraveravexX well, lets see one month a go you posted this statement here:

"what has been put out as American food is horrible but that's exactly it. we eat horrible, horrible food."

then after a few messages back and forth I called you a fat American who only eats Pringles

then you asked me , what problem i had with Americans ( see?)

THEN i spelled it out a little more clearly, when you make such an egregious statement about your own culture and i say you have no sense of pride self

  • @poosaypirate respect, or awareness or knowledge of your own food culture.

then I guess the person with the problem of stereotyping is yourself

    that said

you could spend more time learning more about your own culture and cuisine than you do mouthing off on the Internet and making a fool out of yourself and 300 million people on the basis of national origin, - OK FAT AMERICAN? GO TO MC DONALDS NOW AND PRAY YOU WILL ONE DAY THINK INDEPENDENTLY

Your phenomenon is typical in USA- which has

  • @poosaypirate some of the finest chefs and culinary schools in the world, winning world wide acclaim as well

now keep your mouth shut, go away and keep eating at mc-pringles until you have a culture and dont threaten to move to any foreign country in the world they dont want your type or need you

  • @poosaypirate your comments have nothing to do with the discussion.

either way, america's horrible, fat endusing food nowadays is NOT our coulture and north america, as a whole, does not have one set coulture. depending on what part of the country you come from and your family's origins, there a many different coultures in the states.

  • @XxgraveravexX good for you , you are starting to learn fattie American keep going, keep learning fattie American there is hope for you yet! maybe between your hamburger withdrawal and your Pringles eating you can read a book - if you are not too fat and lazy to pick one up.

id like to see you try and substantiate your claim about what the topic of conversation is fattie american. oh sorry you cant you are too busy at the burger kings

  • @XxgraveravexX regarding US food, speak for yourself fattie American not all Americans are fat and lazy like you fattie

whats the matter american you ran out of french fries now you gotta take it out on the internet?

    its not youtubes fault sorry

  • @poosaypirate again, nothing to do with any other comment. fail troll is a fail.

  • @XxgraveravexX you cranky , American ? lost your hamburger coupon ?

  • If you think American food == McDonald's then yes, you are going to get a fast, crappy hamburger.

If you go to a restaurant like Chili's or better then you will get better food.

Don't expect to go anywhere with a fast-food window and get something other than fast food!

  • @swilson3d thats the problem with ALL foreigners, they never put an effort in to learn US cuisine and Americans do nothing but promote their Stereotypes because Americans lack pride and constantly forget to READ THEIR PASSPORT -. meaning- everone ELSE in USA is an American, but not "me or you"

  • I couldnt believe the shitty food I encountered there when I went. Hey I know its not all like that but when the majority of what you are served is utter shit forgive us foreigners for thinking there is a very understandable reason we see americans as fat! Americans, the rest of the world dont live and breathe fast food,we might have it but its not 80% of the choice available!

  • Its pretty true we have no native foods since america is pretty much one giant melting pot

  • this is annoying because in America there's a lot of variety, just because one bread has no crunch, doesn't mean that another won't be!

  • americain food is good, especially steak with banana and chocolate. that is the bread i like

  • @ratatulsuprem1 steak with banana and chocolate? please tell me people dont eat that - gordon ramsay would have a heart attack if he heard that

  • americain food is good, especially steak with banana and chocolate

  • I don't know how reliable culturally ignorant people can be. They don't know anything about regional foods etc. All they manage to call American food is pizza and burgers. They need to be taught.

  • Most of these people are experiencing culture shock.

  • Bande de kazu

  • American food is pretty much a mixture of all foods. We have japanese food, italian food, mexican food, etc. and even the foods we've created and are known for. Pretty much every type of food u can think of. But the thing about americans is that we add a unique twist to all cultural foods to make it american. We change it up a bit so that its new. America is inspired by so many different types of food, and we just literally REMIX foods well-known to other countries and ppl and make it american.

  • Maybe the issue is eating out somewhere as opposed to eating in a real American's home. I've lived abroad, and the food I had when I was out wasn't anything like what the woman I stayed with made for me. If you judge our food by our restaurants, yeah, it is pretty unhealthy and whatnot. But, true "American" food, or true food from any country is what you have in the homes of those who live there. Pick up an American recipe book. Give it a whirl. We can make pretty darn good food ^.^

  • Is there really any "typical" American food? I mean, the way people eat in different parts of the US seems to vary greatly. Like, when I went to LA, I couldn't find a sandwich shop that didn't sell something with avocado on it. That was new to me. In fact, one had avocado on literally every sandwich. There is also a major difference between the way African-Americans and Caucasians cook, even here in Chicago. Not to mention Texas vs. Georgia vs. Maine. I rarely even eat hamburgers or hot dogs...

  • don't hate on america! they probably bought everything that they ever ate from america from wal mart or something... they need to try some food that is made by artisans and not by a fast food worker

  • When I was there 19 years ago I found it really hard to find a loaf of bread that didnt taste sweet. Even brown bread tasted sweet. Not sure if that is the case now.

  • @memuzzi1 I must add that I found the portions really big. My boyfriend at the time and I used to share the meals. I didnt like the tipping system where they add the tip to the bill. I see a tip as something you give because you got good service or good food. I had a bad dinning experiece there once and I begrudged giving the tip.

  • @memuzzi1 You don't HAVE to tip. It is customary to do so because waiters usually don't get much of a salary. But, if you had a bad experience with your waiter, our policy is to leave a dollar, or if you had a REALLY horrid waiter, leave a penny. That'll get your message accross. One way to look at it is a tip is a safeguard to make sure your waiter is being attentive.

  • Anyone who says American food is tasteless, please reply to this and tell me where you ate and what you ate. Some people really have a negative view of the culture based on the fast food crap that believe it or not, many of us from the U.S. don't really enjoy either, it's just convenient and quick crap.

  • @MeleeCommando The best fusion food you will ever eat IF you go to the right places or cook it at home. We are made up of every culture in the word therefore we can choose to eat everything you eat, we have more choices. So if you ask what the U.S. has, I will say we have the best 'freedom' to eat whatever we want from any country in the world. You just need to find the right places. I grew up eating foods that originated all over the world.

  • @miamad

lol miamad you are tooooooo funny, most foreigners don't want to kill themselves by eating American food full of calories, fatttttttttt. They want to live long. And please tell me if Americans have a normal healthy dish? they copy and adopted most of the food from different coutnries.

  • @TWILIGHT623 in reply to you not liking American food.....you are probably thinking of our "fast food" like macdonalds........are you trying to tell me you would not like home baked Apple pie or fried chicken?

  • these people must be thinking of "fast food". You can get some great food in the USA if you want to go into a "real restaurant"

  • @inkey2 How about NO restaurants! You could always COOK FOR YOURSELF or would that be a little too difficult for Americans? Europeans are the best for cooking themselves it's due to the fact we don't earn equal salaries to our USA counterparts for the same job.

  • @NoctisEreptor gee, what country has no restaurants? Does your country have no restaurants as you suggest? I usually cook at home

  • @NoctisEreptor part 2: you sound like a really hostile person. Yes, Americans may make more than European counterparts ...but.....we do not have national health insurance and any extra money we may make is eaten up by health insurance bills. I had been paying $800.00 per month for 30 years....that adds up. Also in europe, i hear you get long vacations from your place of work. Americans would be lucky to get 10 days a year

  • @inkey2 Hostile? Well you would be too if I earnt your wage. YOU don't HAVE to pay for your health insurance. $800.00 badly spent then. You may have been better off paying LESS per month but covering EVERYONE that way you save money AND everyone benefits from a universal health care system. But of course that would be logical. LONG vacations? Mmmm the LONGEST hours in the whole of Europe! The only reason WE don't have lots of hours is due to a recession caused by YOUR bankers!

  • @NoctisEreptor first of all I DO have to pay for the health insurance. It may not be fair or good but I DO have to pay for it. The number one cause of personal bankruptcy in the USA is medical expences. Many people who lose their jobs and get sick, for example cancer or heart attack spend the rest of their life trying to pay off the fee or declare bankruptcy. You keep saying americans make big salaries....most of us are sales clerks, mechanics, etc...what do you call a big salary?

  • @NoctisEreptor part 2: part 2: the value of a salary one makes depends on what part of the country you live in the USA. For example if you live in New York City a one bed room apartment could be $2000 but if you live in a small town in mississippi it could be $350. It's all relative I don't know where you get this idea that americans make alot of money. Like I said most of america is working class mechanics, teachers, store clerks, cops, firemen, landscapers, etc.

  • @inkey2 I don't know where YOU get this idea that Brits don't work longer hours than Americans!

  • @NoctisEreptor where did "you" get the idea that I said "brits" don't work as long "hours" as americans? you also said that americans make so much money....did you ever ask yourself where the money comes from....it does'nt drop from the sky in our laps.....we have to work for it. Anyone that has "alot" of money in the usa worked "alot" of hours. If you want a real eye opener on us "rich americans"....please watch the first part of "Sicko" the documentary on the American health care crisis

  • @inkey2 Well YOU said it in YOUR last comment, it's all here on the page your reading. Pity your memory is that of a goldfish. The money comes from large corperate banker that cost the rest of the Globe $1 TRILLION THANKS FOR THAT a recession is just what we would like around now after 10 solid years of stable economics! NOT ALL americans work for their money the vast majority of them STEAL it from the poorest but I don't expect you to know that. I watch Sicko when it came out in 2007 I know

  • @NoctisEreptor the vast majority of americans are just working class......how did a teacher, car mechanic, store clerk, waiter steel anyones money?

  • @inkey2 Corperate American lawyer systems than you could ever care to shake a stick at young man!

  • @NoctisEreptor i think most of your opinions of americans is based on the TV shows we export.....they are total fantasy......most americans are not Paris hilton or Lindsey Lohan. Just working people

  • @inkey2 No my opinions are fact based on sources via YOUR media and newpapers that print GDP facts in plain B & W. How can I have an opinion that is maths and statistics?

  • @inkey2

I am from Croatia / Europe, and I meet few americans, and knowing them and their menlity. I think Americans are great people, i think that people who met them actually would be very suprised in good way. I think that you americans care to much about nations who generaly dont like your mentality like france. There are many countries like mine who like american mentality.

  • @KarelYalek it was so very nice to hear from you. Our own American media, which is largely run by "left wing liberals" portrays The USA as the worst thing since Hitler. Americans are told all day in our own news casts that we are the most hated people on the planet. Many Americans certainly know that this country has problems ; health care, foreign policy decisions etc. I personally would like to see the USA avoid going to war at all costs.......only as a last resort option.

  • Burgers, fries, fried chicken, chips, milk shakers( 2000 calories)...Coffee in US tastes like water.,.Everything has 3-4 times more SUGAR than European food. Sickeningly sweet, but Americans are used to easting sweeteened bread, meat, dairy...To me it tastes disgusting. No wonder everyone has some form of diabetes...

But Whole Foods does give you a lot of choices.

  • My favorite is the girl that says in spain the salt tastes better there...... wow way to be a homer.

  • Interesting video but it probably would have been better if they'd had open minds or if someone had cooked them a home meal. You go to a cheap restaurant, you get cheap food. I thought the comment about meat in salads sort of showed how unwilling some of the participants were to consider that there are other ways of doing things. And why didn't he ask for no meat?

  • I have to admit when I went it was as if they DON'T want you to eat healthily, I had to work that little bit extra to find fresh fruit that WAS fresh, vegetables fresh not frozen, also they make it very easy to eat rubbish, everythig is on the go, never sit down to eat always walking and eating, that's bad for digestion. I did find somewhere but it was a bit more pricey, I think healthy food should be the SAME price as junk food. Anyone know why USA cities have SO MANY STARS & STRIPES FLYING?

  • @NoctisEreptor as to your question "why do U S A cities have so many stars and stripes flying....is.....because it is the united states and that is our flag. Does that some how make sense to you?

  • Most foreigners don't have the luxury or expenses to eat "real" American food. All they can afford is the cheap crap America has to offer, which anyone will admits it's bad.

Mickey d's is not a good representative of good burger. You can't buy GOOD "American" food it has to be prepared.

  • @catonic I think it is slightly arrogant to say that most foreigners kind of are all poor. Your ignorance is the reason for the stereotype the world has, that "americans don't know anything about other countries".Sorry!

As for the outrage some have shown here: cool down. Taste is taste. Maybe they just really don't like it. I don't like a lot of that food in the US myself and no I am not poor. I have access to the "luxury" food! I just am used to better tasting food!Basta!

  • Calling me or Americans arrogant is a slight compliment. You're basically telling me that I regard myself in high esteem. Like it or not women like arrogance. Hate the game not the country. Being poor and eating luxury are two different extremes. You don't have to be poor to not be able to eat at 5 star places. Plus one girl bought some cheap ass bread and labeled it "American". Our imperialism causes you to know about us. Since when did the CEO mingle with the cashier?

  • @catonic go read my comment again. You seem to lack reading comprehension.

  • you're not going to think American food is good if you shop at wal mart all day. make your own bread, your own sushi, and your own pastas. in fact, I know that many Italians are using American semolina to make their pasta. Also Californian koshi-hikari makes very good sushi, even Masaharu Morimoto uses it for his dishes. The people interviewed here already have pre conceived ideas about what American food is. If you want good American style cuisine, ask an American gourmet or chef.

  • Why are there so few vids about american food on youtube? There are like millions of vids of italian, thai, japanese etc food...

  • @nofreedomofspeech beacuase most people are american on youtube

  • @Matteger23 Yes I realize that, but then youtube should be full of vids about proud americans showing their food... or maybe they're not very proud...

  • @melindacosta

Im from Lebanon and I didnt like spanish food either when I was there. I think you always like your own cuisine better becuase you are used to the tastes

  • I wonder where in America, this clip was made? Why are these people here in the first place?

  • When people say "American food" they think hamburgers and hot dogs? Do they seriously think we eat only that? Our food is like the people of America...it's from all over the world. We have more variety in our meals then ANY of them. They're pigeonholed in their cultural culinary dishes while we eat flavors from around the world. Yes we have hamburgers and hot dogs...but that's not a daily thing.

  • Oh and I have to agree with them on the portion sizes here...they are big....but I do enjoy taking home food in a "doggy bag"...it gives me a little something to eat later or next day. I enjoyed it the first time, I'll enjoy it the next AND I got my money's worth. I don't see anything bad with that. :-D

  • @Cynthsam21 I agree. American food is really a fusion of recipes from every part of the world to create a variety of flavors. I grew up eating Italian, British and Mexican food. As for our food being salty and preserved, this is just not true for home cooked meals. I think they are thinking about fast food which is not true American food, many of us do know how to cook, lol...

  • study's like this make no since to me send an American to china and watch him puke his guts out before eating eel assholes and baked blood clots

  • that dykey spanish bitch can go to hell

  • America is a mix of everything, its not "American food". America has almost every race in the world.

  • Isn't it interesting that peoples' examples of "American" food are NOT American. Other than that, all of their experiences are purely defined to processed, fast food

  • Why are these people COMPLAINING about everything? This doc is far too biased, and perhaps she has no foreign friends who like the food in the US. Fine. But you have to agree, it's annoying.

  • Sugary, deep-fried, hormone & pesticide-laden plastic. Ever eaten American tomatoes? No taste.

  • Well, if you're getting your tomatoes from a grocery store, then yeah...you're pretty much asking for it.

  • you missed the whole point,.of my comment........drew7473.

  • Says the dumbass with "Twilight" in his name.

    Research the cuisine.

It's not a cuisine you can learn overnight....

We have amazing food that you're just too stubborn to learn about.

  • It seems easy to question what American food really is. But we shouldn't forget that in our short history, we have in fact developed some distinct regional sub-cuisines, much more sophisticated than a hot dog. Think, Cajun. Or Creole. Sure, these came about through a number of cultural influences, but hasn't every cuisine at some point, to some degree? Uniquely American foods do exist.

  • I thought it was a pretty good documentary. I'm not sure how fair it is to American cuisine, though. A whole lot of what they say is true, but they need an American (who knows what he/she is doing) to show them around and to help them develop a balanced perspective. There's a lot of junk out there, but there's also a lot of great food to be had. Everyone has their own tastes and so they still may not enjoy it, but then at least they've seen what all's on offer.

  • @ajayaruna very true

  • Thanks. I thought so, too...

  • @ajayaruna ya theres way better american food than hot dogs and chess bergers but ya

  • anglish breakfast?you mean bean and eggs?and last but not least curry....this is wack mate...

  • your all eating the wrong foods.where r you eating at ?try american home cooking and then comment........enjoy..

  • America isn't just fast food. I think they need to go to Apple Bee's.

  • Apple Bee is the same as fast food, mostly fried foods and high chorestorol

  • health wise Apple Bee's is probably worse then fast food, but the quality and taste of the food is much better.

  • Are you kidding? Apple Bee's is terrible. Plain and simple.

  • how can you say SPANISH bread is better than AMERICAN bread......what kinda bread, what kinda bakery and what kinda price......i lived in europe and peoples quality of life in GENERAL is much lower........walmart has cheap food dont assume that is the best available in America

  • amen

  • In America all the food contains corn syrup.

    It's absolutely everywhere.

    Check for yourself.

  • the reason why america doesnt really have a "food" is the same reason why we dont have a race. america is a big mix of lots of cultures from immigrants, thats how we formed into a country, and its the same with our food.

and honestly, these people must've bought the cheapest food ever because food here is no where near as bad as these people are saying.. haha

  • are you calling americans fat or are you with americans?? if u call us americans fat and ur british, its becuz of history.

  • american food is bland. doesn't feel my tongue with great flavors. just flat flavor. i prefer asian food that has undergone thousands of years in development and developed many complex styles of preparation. say sushi and real chinese food

  • mexican fod is the best

  • o,yes love it

  • America is a true melting pot of cultures from around the world, and immigrants have brought food from their homeland here. Also, if you go to different regions of the U.S., you'll find distinct specialties. Southern cooking is amazing, as well as Texas BBQ, and so forth. I'm grateful to live in such a diverse country.

  • RAMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • the mix of WHAT THEY GOT

  • What people don't seem to be able to understand is that there really isn't much that we can call "American" food. I mean, our country is made up of immigrants that brought their foods with them. I mean, half the stuff that people call American food didn't even originate here, we just put our own spin on it. And just because something is different from how you have it in another country does not necessarily make it bad, just different.

  • America has great food and so does Europe , lots of what these people were saying was'nt entirely true though . You have food from all over the world here and surprisingly it comes pretty damn close to the real thing , stop hating ! props on the vid

  • cordogs!!!

  • When I hear Paella, Tapas..I think of Spain. Pasta, Pizza..Italy. tatziki..Greek, Shawarma..Turkish. Hotdogs and sausages..Germany. Curry..India. Adobo..Philippines. Sushi..Japan. But America has all of these! America is a melting pot of the worlds cultures. When you want to think of all these food, Think of America ;)

  • So what is American food?

  • They didn't even try American BBQ!

  • Classic responses to a video steeped more in the continual assumption that America is not, in fact, the closest thing to an amalgamated super-culture representing most, if not all, the world's present day peoples.

  • Well, listen to these guys, they don't even know what American food is. They name hamburgers and hotdogs, but they forget to actually dig for true American cuisine. Our country is very fast and different regions of the country have different tastes. If you go to Wal-Mart or a fast-food joint, you're not eating real American food, you're eating quick food.

  • Our country is very vast*

  • So what? like american girls "all" look good? 80% are fat as whales

  • not in my city :) depends where you live in America.

  • Then why do you live you dumb twats.

  • Let's see: Spain, Germany, Japan, and I don't know where Jose is from.

  • A ham now has 14 artificial ingredients to enhance taste and moist.

Its known artificial sugar/sweetener makes you gain weight more then regular sugar as it makes your body constantly hungry.

Its also known artificial coloring used in sodas(and alot of food) cause children to get hyperactive. Its known we have no idea what the remaining artificials do to our bodies and nature but its no suprice to be constantly hungry in America, great for food sales bad for you.

    Should be laws against it..

  • wow this just pisses me off. i think everybody needs to stop ragging on america. i completely agree with what lufkin139 said. the restaurants here are REALLY good. you probably haven't even gone to them before. i was just in europe for a month and i couldn't stand half the food there. how would europe feel if i just posted a video complaining and complaining about THEIR food? stop coming to our country then. we didn't ask you to try it. god. leave america fricking alone.

  • us foreigners aren't talking down on the u.s, we're just saying that food here is really different from our own. well atleast that's what i'm sayng. i'm kinda used to it now. you think beef jerky tastes good, yeah right, have you tasted biltong? it's a the southern african version of beef jerky. note: southern africa, not south africa the country. commonly found in south africa, namibia, botswana, maybe zimbabwe, and zambia not sure.

  • American food is great, but the best things are regional flavors. Europeans/foreigners go to NY and eat shitty fast food and think that's the whole country. Then they eat the same shit at their homes and watch a movie on how American food is shit and they miss the great stuff. If you want good American food go to Kansas City or New Orleans.

  • fuck you, NY has great food

  • it's not my fault the food isn't as good. besides their talking about america in general, that includes NY.

  • WTF. tying two unrelated comments and topics. you got confused. its your fault for doing such a shitty job at knowing and understanding US culture and food. that Applies to Americans AND Non-americans.

I only asked you where you ate. ONLY. you probably late At Mcdonalds or some shit

  • i've been here for almost two years and i haven't eaten anything that's really good. us foreigners aren't really big on the fast food stuff, and i think what you buy at mcdonald's or burger king is just alot of unhealthy crap, most of it anyways. i've eaten at alot of places and i'm still not impressed. the meat here tastes weird, and cooks way too fast, the chicken crumbles off the bone when you boil it, and the pieces are way to big for a chicken. but you guys genetically modify your food.

  • Ive traveled the world & trust me chicken cooks the same speed all over. RE: GM Food:if one is in a supermarket, one can simply opt for organic or non GMO. thats a consumer choice which, well, lets leave it at that. HOwever, I highly doubt you can name 4 traditinal american dishes. I doubt you know one bit about Cajun food, Southern food, New England quisine or can name one Traditional Thanksgiving dish precluding "Turkey and gravy" o
