Hi Gan, you were probably using ImagOn Ultra which used different exposure times, todays best polymer is "ImagOn HD." You can find out more information by visiting nontoxicprint (dot) com or getting a copy of "The Contemporary Printmaker," by Keith. For ink try, waterbasedinks (dot) com
Remove the soft peel back layer by folding over a piece of packaging tape and adhering it to a non porous flat surface. Hold the ImagOn curl side down with fingers on both sides using approximately a 45 degree angle and gently touch the corner edge to the sticky tape, proceed to lift.
my name is Peter. I'm a German artist, living in Japan, where it is very hard to get informations on intagliotype or nontoxic printing yet. I ordered a starter kit from a shop in Germany where I attended a course with Keith Howard 2002, but then we didn't did sun-exposure and it was the old type of Imageon.
Did I understand right, that Keith exposed it for just 15 seconds? And unfortunately it didn't show the developement time. Do you remember, how long it was?
He did say 15 seconds. I tried one today - cloudy but still quite bright - and 20 seconds seemed about right.
For developing, he said 9 minutes in the video, but I've read that it can take from 5 to 10 minutes (guessing on the condition of the soda ash/water developer).
I was hoping to see his method for peeling back the outer sheets from the ImagOn film, it's giving me fits. But no luck.
