I'm in the exact situation as you! My first day of senior year is monday and I dont have any money saved for college, I am just determined to try extremely hard this year to get anything I can. this is going to sound weird but can u do a video on the american education system? being european im so confused by the classes u guys choose and stuff, it seems like u have waay more options. what time do most schools end at? how long is ur lunch? how many subjects do u do? where i live there is one big exam everyday that goes on for a week on each subject. this week long exam determines whether u can get into college or not, is it the same in america? sorry i just always wondered

@Spagoochy I can give you a break down if you'd like it actually changes a lot between states and for whatever reason the east coast of the US gets out for summer break about a month later than the west coast does. But personally my school starts at 7:00am and ends towards 2:20pm We have an advisory class, which is just for 40 minutes and you can talk and stuff then you get electives which you can choose ex : different languages, art, speech and debate, gym and classes like that,

Which follow - Math, Enlgish, Science and History. like i siad before each state is a lot different, you need different amounts of credits in different classes to graduate. And in America you have to pay for college most of the time, but i don't think college is the same here as it is over there. There's also four years of highschool - 9 year=freshmen 10=sophmore 11=junior and 12 being the last year = senior

@Spagoochy Every school is different. Not every school in America has the same time schedule for lunch,end of day,etc.

@Spagoochy Well Im way past high school lol. but when I attended a few years ago, classes began at 8am-3pm. Lunch was 45(?)mins. I had about 7 subjects i think;for the entire year(I dont quite remember, but it was about 7-8). In my HS, we pretty much HAVE to pick(3-4) classes that are, IMO, unnecessary >.>;; such as art, chorus, drama etc. If you dont pick one, the school will decide for you. lol. The fixed subjects are math, english, science, & history.; You HAVE to take these no matter what.

@Spagoochy Also, we had tests every 2-3 weeks and quizzes when the teacher feels the need. & I really dont remember but we had to take college admissions tests before you finish HS. If you fail to meet their grade requirement, you can attend adult education(GED) and retake the tests. If you want to know more, I suggest searching SATs and ACTs(tests), as well as GPA(Grade Point Average) and GED(General Education Development).

@iMomochii thank u very much for a helpful reply :) in my school the fixed subjects are english, maths, french/spanish and irish (which is a pretty much dead language) and we still have to learn it!! then we pick 3 other subjects out of any of the following: any of the 3 sciences (chemistry, physics or biology) , business, home economics, art, economics, music, accounting and history i chose business home economics and biology. so in total we do 7 subjects for our final exam.
