garbage collection is messy but it looks like he was just trying to be quick for the camera, and as i have learned in my time as a refuse collector the faster you try to go and the better you try to look the dumber your going to look. but i have seen some very messy people and this guy, nah, he's not bad.

up here we work in teams of 2 or 3 depending on the route, the "Helpers,Loaders,guy(s) on the back" are refered to as slingers. and GDS is just the name of the company "Garbage Disposal Service"

Got any vids of Resi front loaders where the driver actually slings the trash? I work for WM in Indy and we have cart tippers but people can use carts, cans, bags on the ground, whatever. We have to get out and sling trash. I gotta 07 McNelluis body with a 07 Mack Cab. Perkins carry can and toter tipper. Most of our trucks are Heils though. 10 I think, 2 Wittkes (JUNK!) and 4 McNellys. 2 of our resi trucks are for subscription routes are Currato cans. City of Indy will be automated in 2 years.

usally when there is trash in the recycle or green they leave a tag on it or if its too heavy

Today they replaced the carts for more bigger carts. WM of Sequim, WM has no recycling dumpsters right now. Sequim, had 1 Heil powertak but was sent to portland OR. and the dumpster was a Perkens carry can.

yes but some time this year they will be realaecing them for carts

We had that change last October. Our recycling used to be picked up by a truck similar to a Labrie Top Select, but it was labled as a Dempster.

yes the same truck! WM of Sequim has a very small fleet! 1 Wittke, 2 McNeilus Pacific™ Series Lo Pro,2 roro, 1 amrep MSL (seen it 1 time and course didn'n hav the cam!) and 1 hook lift. like I said very small fleet!

Good stuff, however some pointers, you should hold the camera a little more steady, and when he is dumping the bin, switch up your shots a bit, get some shots from street side, curb side, behind the cab and in front! Good looking truck, I'm glad WM is getting McNeiluses instead of those damn Wittkes, they look better.

It's not all Wittkes just the ones used down here in So-Cal. the hopper shield is Much taller than the body, and the body is long and short, which visually creates a hard to look at andmisshapen body. However it's Leach counterpart has a panel that extends from the hopper shield to the back of the body which makes it look more stylish and appealing to the eye.
