Love this song and the girls. I worked in a deli in L.A. that was near a recording studio and a movie studio so we got lots of celebs in as regulars. There were these 3 girls who came in almost every day and we talked alot. One of them started by saying..back when I worked with Prince. I cut her off and said..yeah right, you worked with Prince. It was Wendy of course. They also brought in Sheila E once and Seal one time. They introduced me to him and all I thought was..what a stupid name.

It had video play but not a lot on MTV, rarely once in a while at the time. Prince said he was proud of them but should like jumped off of amps/loudspeakers and made it more of a splash, something like that. I have an interview clipping somewhere. The whole album is stellar. I loved it then and still do. Wendy's guitar solo is in my view one of THE best guitar solo's on a recorded single, just uplifting and fantastic!

I agree, it's one of the best songs of its era that nobody recalls today. It took me a long time to even figure out who recorded it to look it up now. It's got a great sound that isn't really dated.
