  • battery powered cars are not the future, hydrogen electric is the future, just watch a video about the fcx clarity.

  • Need at least 250 miles per charge with air and radio on.

  • bad ass video...

  • @bonds911 get a life

  • Tesla model S will go 400km in one charge, 200km if you floor it allot and its gonna cost just 50 000 Euro, but keep in mind that this car is gonna pay it self very, very fast

  • why they CALL em Electric Cars --- ???

When in Reality its a Battery Powered Car --

Just like your Flash light -- or portable Radio or MP3 player etc.

  • I will stick with my Dodge Ram that gets 5MPG.

  • Another good video!! One question:are you "hypermiler"?

  • @crosley72 Not really, but I did try it once in a Prius and after about a half hour I got bored and floored it.

  • @romanmicagearguy Hey Roman,

Correction the biggest tree hugger you can drive is a Prius. Lol

  • so what was the range you got with the leaf? How could you possibly leave the most important thing out? How was the ride? The pick up, amenities...etc. Pretty much didn't say much during this review except, this is a Nissan Leaf. It is a real car. It is electric. Here is a Porsche Speedster electric. That is all....

  • @tim3058 We've already reviewed the Leaf in a different video. The real word range is about 75 miles in Eco mode or 60 in regular mode...it really depends on so many different factors include the temperature. You can get 99 miles but you'd have to hyper mile it.

  • @romanmicagearguy Thanks for the responses Roman! I love your videos I'm just a critic!

  • how can an all electric car be 99 miles per gallon. It uses no gas

  • and you know what? Its a real car. Genious Genious

  • @tim3058 I may not be a "Genius" but at least i know how to spell it.

  • Roman, what are the details of the Porsche Speedster? How fast, for how long and for how much? Is it a quality build and a back yard chop job? The Leaf is a real car that is not available in the CO yet.

  • @lgreen5 FYI: We posted a short write-up about the eSpeedster Porsche on our blog TFLcar.com.

  • you should do reviews of your own personal cars

  • Until electric cars could either be recharged in 10 minutes, or had interchangeable batteries that could be replaced in 10 minutes, electric cars will remain just a curiosity. Hydrogen cars make more sense - make electricity with water, wind or sun, then make hydrogen from electricity, then fill cars with hydrogen the same way we do with gasoline. It will probably be less energy efficient than electric to electric, but much more convenient, and no energy spared on making batteries.

  • Put outlets on Parking meters and Lightpoles and we may have a pretty quick infrastructure we could all use. I Like both cars.

  • Cool Vid. Once again !

How was that "old " eletric Porsche against the Cayman R you Guys had the other Day ? Same Fun-Factor kinda?

  • @BernDPeter The EV Speedster is a half a step above driving a go-cart with unassisted steering (raw, load and very basic) while the Cayman R is go fast technology refined to make driving fast painless and easy.

  • i think hydrogen is the future, as soon as they find an efficient way to extract it from nature.

  • 99mpg. 24 hours to fill up.

  • hmm, the majority of our power comes from coal fired power plants. are electric cars the answer, or are we just kicking the can down the road?

  • @tyedyedmind Most studies show that electric cars use about 1/10th of the energy (and also create 1/10th of the pollution) when charged from your wall socket versus pouring gas into a internal combustion engine. The reason? The added energy needed to drill for oil, transport it, refine it, distribute it to the pump and perhaps as importantly the simple fact that most of the energy used by a internal combustion engine goes to generate unneeded and mostly unused heat instead of motion.

  • @tyedyedmind

electricity is versatile and can come form various renewable resources such as solar, wind, and hydro. As we move into the future, these renewables technologies will overtake coal fired power plants. On the other hand, oil is finite and dirty. No matter what you do with oil, theres only so much in the world and we have to fight a war every 10 years just to have the privilege of getting oil Not to mention china and india will want more oil as they industrialize further.

  • I'm sorry Roman but that isn't a very good or compeling argument. Fighting pollution with waste?

  • @05front Good point! I would add that fossil fuels are also perhaps too useful to just burn. Most plastic comes from oil and personally I'd rather see oil used to build stuff than simply go up in a puff of exhaust smoke.

  • @romanmicagearguy Aahh ok. Makes total sense now.

  • I like that Porsche a lot. Correct me if I'm wrong, but dont you normally load items in the nose of this type of car? Is the rear open for cargo? Does it have a roof? Fun video guys!

  • Not a bad review but please as car reviewers learn how to pronounce PORSCHE! (ˈpɔʁʃə).

    german[dot]about[dot]com/library/weekly/aa020401b[dot]htm

BTW Porsche produced all electric cars and petrol cars with electric range extention (Lohner Porsche 1899) long before GM and Nissan did, in fact the first Porsche was an electric.

  • @Raffix394 FYI: My German is pretty good having learned it as second language but I pronounce Porsche the typical American way because when I was a TV reporter I always found it rather odd when news people pronounced foreign names and words like native speakers. I could be wrong.

  • not really affordable, stick with a base line civic .... only way i see this as efficient is if you keep the car for 15 years.... which after 5 years the battery will become useless.

  • Eh... i live in Saudi Arabia i think i'll stick to my suburban

  • @1234fllf I'm Saudi too, got the 7.4L 1997 Suburban, two Crown Victorias, a 93 STS, a 95 STS, an FJ and a Boxter S. No gas restricting laws and 0.4 US cent/gallon premium ftw :D

  • 1st

  • ironically while watching this vid, i looked up and found my TV preseting the 'hybrid' episode of Southpark. 'GOOOOOOD FOR YOUUUUU!!

  • This is not a review? No offence, but I think your jobs seems quite simple, go try out cars and drive them a day, and then the next day, same thing... Same shit, different day...

  • @SoinoSkater We've already reviewed the Leaf....seemed silly to review it again.

  • @romanmicagearguy True, but why put 'review' in the title? ;)

  • nice! haha love EV's, the future probably.

  • who would befoul a beautiful classic porsche like that?!?!!? even if its a replica! keeps the classics as they should be
