I don't like the idea of promoting obesity through song. Especially in America where it does NOT need any extra encouragement.

Sorry, but he's not saying anything about supermodels. He's saying "fat is beautiful". And simply put, it's not. Biologically we're attracted most to members of the opposite sex that appear healthy and fit. And in case you hadn't noticed, some of the women in that video were extremely obese.

Not saying that some people won't find larger women attractive, just that the majority won't, and I didn't like that people were claiming that being fat is just as healthy as being skinny, etc.

We know that obesity is not healthy, but he's trying to tell others that you don't have to worry about petty things because there is beauty in all of us. I have an aunt who is obese but she can't help it, she has health issues that prevent her being at a healthy wait. She still gets up at the ring of a bell to help her kids. She is in no way lazy and she doesn't let her weight keep her from living.

I find her very beautiful. I don't look at the "fat" I look at her heart.

Being, "Big" (I refuse to say "fat" as it is negative) is not unhealthy, it's just being very overweight in the same way as being very thin is unhealthy. Fatter women were not considered as being beautiful. It's just that they only reproduced portraits of rich women, and those rich women ate a lot. If you look at very old paintings representing imaginary women, most of them are far from being fat. Actually, being fat is extremely unhealthy. You put yourself at much higher risk of coronary heart disease for one. And yeah, being anorexic is also unhealthy, but that has nothing to do with this song since he's not singing about anorexia being hot.

Fatter women were considered to be more desirable because it was an indication of wealth. However most mistresses were valued for their physical attractiveness, not their resources, and they were not overweight. Sociology win.

To be fair, although larger people can bring their larger than recommended size upon themselves, I would still treat them like I treat other people. You can be overweight and beautiful, just like you can be average- weight and ugly. The only difference that I would see is that one is less likely to get a heart attack than the other. That's my opinion, anyway.

Ich bin von Natur aus sehr dünn, kann essen was ich will ohne zuzunehmen. Ich mag aber eine Menge unterschiedlicher Körperformen. Manchen Menschen steht es ganz gut, wenn sie sich nicht auf 50kg herunterhungern und selbstbewusst zu Kleidergröße 42 stehen. Andere sehen durchtrainiert besser aus und dann gibt es eben noch die, die in Größe 36 gut aussehen. So ist das nunmal. Solange die Leute nicht krankhaft dünn oder fett sind, gibt es doch keinen Grund zur Aufregung?!

Ich finde hier einige Aussagen auch wirklich unter aller s... ! Aber da sieht man wie viele Denken. Und solche aussagen macht nur einer der mit sich selbst nicht zufrieden ist und das an anderen wie mollige oder Behindert ablässt.
