  • is that jim morrison at 2.01?:)

  • Just had one of those moments! The opening visuals in the vids shows Spencer davis group home ground in Birmingham UK It's also where I was Born 59 years ago to the day, Odd that I find myself looking at a map of where I was born while randomly listening to some music and it just happens to be my Birthday!

    Cheers Universe!

  • ....The melody ...and some of the words of this song are very similiar to "Groovin" by the Rascals!

  • @Shamagogue totally agree ... good call ... definitely the Rascals ...

  • Does anyone have a clip they can put on of Stevie & the Spencer Davies Group doing "I thnk it's gonna work out fine" please? It's probably my favourite!

  • @sallieuk1 I've just uploaded it!

  • Love this song...great voice..and sexy eyes Steve...

    Elaine :) ♫❤♫❤♫❤♫❤♫

  • @ther51 wee\ll I didnt mean the sexy eyes!! but a GREAT voice!!

  • @tdavidc80 But the sexy eyes are certainly a plus...As is the voice wasn't enough!

  • one of their best.

  • I am uncertain why Jim Morrison's picture shows up at 1:55. What does Morrison have to do with this song?

  • Sorry. Not Steve Marriott! This is classic Twisted Wheel Manchester where Spener Davis Group was resident.

  • dang

    i can't find this song

    to download anywhere MAN

  • itunes has a live spencer davis group album with this exact version...1dollar is nothin for perfect music :)

  • is this one live??

  • I think so, it sounds identical to the verion I bought which was a Spencer Davis Group Live Anthology...

  • could always try the old fashioned way and buy it

  • already did thanks anyway

  • @pearlthegirl try youtube2mp3 ... :-)

  • I have an aircheck tape of the late Disc Jockey Tom Donahue on KSAN in San Francisco from his 69 Sat night show & he played this song from that Sat night show back then it's a great soulful song & i haven't heard any other station play it sad we hear the hit songs but not the deep cuts or b-sides.

  • @radmason Tom used to do that all the time (play "B" sides and other obscure songs from popular artists)- I am certain that is what precipitated him to leave KSAN and start up a new station with the new "FM" format he essentially created.

  • One of my very favourites

  • Duffy....

  • Does anyone know what year is this recording from?

  • Released in 1965.

  • 1965, I think.

  • Greatest English R&B

  • What an exceptional talent Stevie was. I've just discovered this band today and they blew my mind away, especially Stevie. His pianoorgan, voice...Overwhelming.

  • Great song. Thanks

  • Steve Winwood & Steve Marriott...

    the greatest.

  • Besides his voice, delivery, lyrics (and everything else) for me it's his piano playing that really gives this song something extra.

  • Brilliant,Fantastic voice.

But how did Morrison appear at 1.55.

  • spencer davis is good

  • what a voice thanks for posting

  • This has been a very spiritual song for me for over 40 years. No matter where I have gone in life, I have always had a copy of this tune nearby. Thanks for making it available here.

  • That's quite something!

  • STEVIES MOTOWN

  • quality tune thanks

  • Brilliant - thanks for sharing

  • I love it! This is true blue-eyed soul! Thaks so much for posting it!

  • I like that; 'blue eyed soul'!!

  • Thanks, but I can't take credit for the term. It was coined in the mid-60s, about sixteen years before I was born!

  • I was born in the early sixties and only just heard the term now!

  • I first heard it about ten years ago, on an oldies radio station, whenever they played music from the Righteous Brothers.
