Me and my friend play this game and we enjoy it alot. We made som many amazing, stupid, funny lucky, unlucky goals its hilarious. God i love this game!
And the Devils are in injury problems too with an lenghty list of injured players like David Clarkson, Patrik Elias, Rob Niedermayer, Dainius Zubrus, Jay Pandolfo, Paul Martin and Johnny Oduya and still they have remained one of the NHL's top teams, mostly because their young and hungry reserve players they have remained in the top of the league. Youngsters showing their skills when it's mostly needed.
Injured teams mostly need to BATTLE and stay POSITIVE. U guys haven't done that.
U can't blame all about the injuries, just like I can't blame everything about Gretzky when Yotes sucked. Look at Detroit, they have even more injured players than u guys do, but still they are in the playoff hunt. Red Wings are missing Zetterberg, Eriksson, Franzen, Cleary, Filppula, Williams, Kronwall and Lilja. Those are some key players, but still with a great coach in the bench and using good reserve players they are in the playoff hunt. Tell me how that's possible.
That is like 2 starting line-ups gone (half the team). Watch out for them when they get all their injured players back. They have nearly a half of AHL players on the roster and they are still in it. I don't think any other teams would survive this kind of injuries.
They have survive so far by the surprising play of their rookie goalie Jimmy Howard and some grind it out games. They need the injured player back really bad. Can't seem to score any goals now.
I don't really think Howard has been so good, I think that Osgood is getting really old and that's why it has been pretty easy to take the starting goalie place in Detroit. Goal scoring is pretty hard for them right now, yes, but the injured players are soonly coming back.
Well, last night Howard played great against Columbus stopping 38 of 39 shots and lose in OT. If he can be more consistence the Wings will be okay. But for now they just have to play with what they've got.
Btw, I just bought NHL10. Hate the damn new controls its killing me =)

Yep, it took some time to get used to the new controls too, mostly I was playing as a goalie. There are lots of new controls especially for the goalie. First I made some noob mistakes before I got used to it :D

@suffernow97 I believe I remember that one and I also owned that as well. I must say, the EA hockey games seem to be more consistent and have always played very well. The Madden series always seem to keep coming out with the same lousy game and numerous glitches. I find the Madden games to be disappointing. I mean, even the Fifa series has been very good over the years. I have Fifa 10. It's truly right on point with the gameplay.
@nudist77a i'd say it's worth buying because it was the game franchises anniversary and they went all out with the game.I doubt there will be a significant difference between 2010 and 2011 but i might be wrong.If they add the injury reserve that would be great.

If u dont have NHL 10, then wait for NHL 11 because they are adding a brand new physics engine that will change the game and make it even more realistic. Also if u care about online play, when the new years game comes out they shut down the servers of the previous years game.

Np... it means that if u bought NHL 2010 and wanted to go play online against a friend AFTER NHL 11 came out, u wouldnt be able to because the servers for NHL 10 would be shut down by EA and online wont work . It happens yearly, developers do it because they want to make people buy the newer game.
Definetelly wait for NHL 11, this new physics engine is going to change the game a lot and for the better.

Its simple, Madden doesnt have any competition since EA signed an exclusive deal with the NFL and only they can make an NFL licensed game while the NHL and FIFA series had to compete with NHL 2k and the Pro eleven soccer series. This year NHL 2k11 wont release on PS3 or 360 because they cant compete with EAs NHL series but they might come back next year so EA cant relax yet.
