Now I don't mind Yuzu, in fact I like her character more than a few others. It's just whenever I see the "that's what a real person would do" argument when justifying video game characters I'm reminded they are not real people, and we don't necessarily want real people.
@Grandy12 I don't even consider her reaction by the sixth day to be realistic at all. She's heard "okay they're going to murder us all and take away our freedoms and we'll have to fight the government and God's messengers" and she still wants to run away. Hell, I'd be afraid too, but if I had to last that long, and managaed to, I'd probably have to go "fuck it fine we'll get rid of all the demons".

But approaching it from that angle, you'll like Devil Survivor 2.

Being one of Stalin's secret police seems like it'd really break a normal person past a certain point, but then you look at the fact that members of the Third Reich have survived to the recent decades and you realize that people can do some pretty horrible things -- and on the flip side, if you can do pretty horrible things, you can weather them to do awesome things like save the world, too. Mind you, a lot of people killed themselves in World War II, but by no means all of them!

I don't see him as being mean, especially not when you look at what God's like in most SMT games. He's basically telling you to man up to your own decisions and giving you some advice, since you're now humanity's representative. In the neutral endings, he's warning you not to get drunk on your power. In the Chaos ending, you've decided to try to fight God, so now you've got to live with your decision and prove that you're right, if you want to avert Judgement Day.
If you take a look at YHWH though you'll see that he's a big tyrant doing his best to suppress humanity and the demons. After all, Helel was declared demon for opposing god in a decision and did what he felt was best.
You haven't forgotten that YHWH was the one instructing Thor to drop the ICBM missile over Ichigaya Ground Zero have you?

The Devil Survivor version of God isn't especially a bad guy. Here, God just wants to see the problem solved, isn't especially particular about the method you use (unless you want to start a war with him), and doesn't pick a fight with you unless you do. And if you're turning into the King of Hell for your own purposes, then you don't have any complaint coming when he tries to take you down.
what i dont get about yuzu's ending is that even without your main character there and everyone escaping why is it that all the demons die and the angels take control, isn't the tournament of bel still going? wouldn't that mean the belbirth is the new demon lord since he was the strongest of them and made an army to challenge god? i mean there's really no one else who can stop him anyway right? anyone is free to answer this
@tom1yum2goong First, the angels don't take control in Yuzu's ending, nobody does.
Second, Belberith isn't strong enough to fight God. Only the MC is.
My theory about Yuzu's ending is that the tournament broke down when you killed the four angels and escaped the Loop. It's kind of like Atsuro's and Gin's endings in that you're breaking the tournament rules and making it impossible for anyone to win. Also, since God and Lucifer are running things, Lucifer lost interest and God is powerless.

Just because Belberith is the last Bel standing doesn't mean he can take Babel. He doesn't have Beldr, or the MC, and possibly not Belial (depending on the Haru event), and it's likely that you can''t challenge Babel unless you have all the Bels together. Even if that's not a requirement, he'd still have to win the last battle.
So in Yuzu's ending, Belberith either doesn't try for Babel, or doesn't win.

I got the No Path ending (let Honda escape on Day 6 when fighting the Angels and Demons during the battle just before Belial). I'm working on Escape, because it was that or Messiah. : |

@KhaosKing77 Well, it's only a bad ending if you care about the world. In the older SMTs, this exact ending wasn't a bad one for someone who was strong enough to fight and win, it just sucked for anyone who couldn't cut it.

to get the No Path just choose to escape on the same mission that you have to choose between killing angels, demons, or both.
Mid-way trough the mission honda is gonna say something and you're given a choice. Choose to escape and finish the mission. NO PATH.
