  • Exemplaric draw - cool girl!

  • 378,359 hits today ..Thats alot ...

  • Draw looks a tad bit short, looks like after a while it would create tension in your shoulders I'd like to see the "T" formed a little more.

But then again what do I know.... good luck with archery competition this year

  • Shouldnt let the bow hit your leg, otherwise perfect form.

The competitions up here would disqualify you for that alone, otherwise A+

  • @samljer it's not against Fita/World Archery and I don't shoot in other organisations :) so all good... more shouldn't hit your leg cos it leaves nasty bruises :S

  • Beautiful shooting the only thing moving was the strap hanging down and your heartbeat was doing that, great concentration !

  • You are absolutely beautiful and so is your bow. I'm sure like all hobbies it cost a small fortune to set up ur bow.

  • do you do your own set up& tuning on your bow?

  • I am sure most people who are giving advice on form are less accomplished in Archery than the video uploader in the clip.

  • Doesn't your hip get irritated (at the least) with allowing the bow to hit you after you fire it?

  • @battletoads22 no different to copping the arrow rest on my bow hand every shot.

  • nice sure-loc sight? it looks like it but im not sure my friend has one but i use a check-it with a sure-loc golden eagle with 3x soom lense =D

  • what BEASTY bow is that???

    pls respond

  • @Ripstik686 It's a Hoyt UltraElite

  • @erikaanear sweet thanks

  • @Ripstik686 Its a hoyt ofcourse! Looks like a pro elite...

  • Her form looks pretty good but.....she is not using her back to release the bow string. She is twisting her release....she is cheating her release..... :(

  • @MrKristianson1994 , she isn't twisting her release, if you look at her follow through when she releases she's using back tension.

  • muchas gracias erika saludos!

  • @lukitas2285 PSE has a reputation for the letters to mean Point, Shoot, Explode and also Parts Scatter Everywhere.

  • Ok well that's out of the question considering I have no money so I'll just have to teach myself how to do the 50 THANKS THOUGH! :)

  • Really, oh,what would? Would I just have to get a new bow? And I am teaching myself About archery so I don't know a whole bunch about it thanks though

  • @koda440 well i'm no longbow expert, but as far as I know you'd have to get a new bow.

  • @koda440 Is your bow a one piece longbow? If it's a recurve bow, three part variety, you can adjust it by tightening or loosening the screws. I've heard you can also change your poundage by taking a longer bowstring, but that I am not sure of. I've been using recurves for 2 years, and I haven't tried longbows yet. They are very similar in use though. Hope this helps. -Nax

  • Thanks for the advice Erika it's just my family doesn't have money and so just having this is amazing, how much do you think it would be to get re strung?

  • @koda440 restringing a long bow? maybe $70 give or take depending on the manufacturer...but that won't change the poundage....

  • wow u make it look so easy

i am teaching myself and using a long bow that is a 50 pounder and ive nver shot anything above 30 so its kinda hard for me i cant pull it back enough but i am getting better

what i am wondering this is for all archers to answer but is it just that my muscle is being used becuse at my sholder its really sore after shooting for about 30 min

    Thanks

  • @koda440 well i wouldn't recommend upping to 50lb from 30lb. that's a guarantee of a sore shoulder. generally a couple pounds at a go is the way to go.

  • QUE ARCO USAS?'

  • @lukitas2285 aqui un Hoyt Ultra Elite y ahora un Hoyt Contender Elite

  • excellent form

  • hey erika i got question about back tension cuz i have a back tension to it's my first shooting back tension without the piece of rope but do you know how many inches the string must be? to have a good form?

  • @gimlley666 do you mean the D-loop? maybe an inch loop? you need room to nock the arrow and attach the release. but if it gets out past two inches, you're probably better off lengthening the draw length instead.

  • Bio mekanical video observation and analysis! -Great!

  • good girll why did the bow tilt backward and not tpo the front?

  • Eh, its not archery unless its without that device. Try shooting like 10-15 arrows in 20 seconds.

  • bogensport.forumprofi.de

  • i that a hoyt?i got a mathews reezen 7 with a g5 rock sight w/.19 pins and scott release, it looks like youre pulling 60lbs and i'm pulling 50lbs.

  • @ultrastrat it was 60lb when this was shot, but i got sick and had to go down to 51lb

  • Is that a hoyt?i got a mathews reez 7 i love my bow.

  • i dont live those fancy shmansy bows.. a bow should consist of two things: String, and the bow. triggers, sights, lasers and all the other stuff, is like.. its not really bow and arrows anymore, its bow on steroids and arrows.

  • @ShayCarlFan1000 welcome to the present...

  • @ShayCarlFan1000 I was defending the recurve and the traditional bow too, but i recently bought a compound myself. i must say that hunting is being more succesfull with a compound. it has more power, precision and at full draw you are holding practically nothing, you can wait minutes at full draw till the deer comes out of the bush. but dont worry, the fun you experience with archery is still the same. you gotta move on u kno.

  • what kind of release do you shoot with? back tension or thumb trigger?

  • @TheWolf739 It varies. This video was a back tension. Currently I'm shooting a Carter Target 3.

  • fenomenális

  • nachhalten ! xD

  • What type of release are you using? I am looking to get into 3d and hunting but have only shot a re-curve when i was a little punk ass. im not a fan of the long wrist triggers (my buddys got one) seems like yours is in your palm...i may just be insane...

  • @guitarcore18 That release is a Scott Longhorn. In more recent videos I'm using a Carter Target 3.

  • No, no, no! Way too slow!

  • Try to let your left hand open. Its more accurate.

  • @fgfg61 When you can explain how opening the hand is more accurate, I and many other competitors may change our minds;) Her grip and form overall looks fantastic, as well as her back tension. Looks like she is a very strong shooter, and I imagine she's referring to the world cup in Turkey, which means she could without a doubt outshoot anyone you know, or will likely ever know...

  • Great progress! I have a question for you. What part of your bow hand holds the bow at full draw? Top web? Thumb Side? Any part of bow hand bone to bow contact? Thanks.

  • @RioGrandeJEA hmm I tried answering this before and couldn't. let me know if you didn't get the response... but there are more recent videos showing close ups of my bow hand.

  • very awsome.

  • Hmm. Any advice for a beginner? Oh, I am left handed with a bow. Thanks!

  • @UtahMike41

Um... good shooting requires plenty of good practice, you get what you pay for, and get a decent coach. :)

  • in your opinion what is more difficult the combound or the recurve ????

  • @bigbossothman recurve.

  • @bigbossothman oh man compounds are modern recurves much easier to shoot

  • why do you have to shoot with your cloths off? and what happens if you dont?

do you drive cars with naked feet? i do

  • @inoldswetrust

Actually it's to show what muscle movements are or are not being engaged. The core muscles are very important in archery. If you don't engage core strength or if you over engage core strength you will not have good stability.

The videos are shot from several angles to show as much body and muscle movement as possible. It's fairly standard practice.

And yes I do drive and shoot with bare feet. I only wear shoes when I have to.

  • いいね俺もアーチェリーをやりたくなってきた

  • You're so beautiful that I'm going to take up archery now. Just watching you shoot has been inspiration enough! =P Seriously though... I'm going to take up archery!

  • Good for you.

  • linda!!!!

  • Hi - what are those arrows? Thanks.

  • Easton Cobolts

  • Dont you hate when people tell you how to shoot??? I mean, If you are confy shooting your way who are these people to tell you other wise. Archery is as much about feel as it is mechanics.

  • @taperunner4 yeah totally agree with u i once took advise from a friend of mine and next day i had really bad back problems so yeah thumbs up dude

  • @taperunner4 I agree!!! I fu**in hate to be told that my form isn't perfect... I know it and it will never change because of a shoulder injury due to a work accident. But what pisses me the most, Is being told that by peoples that are having a perfect form but who are not able to pin a single arrow in the bullseye at 20 meters when I know that I can easyly do it at any distance from 10 to 50 meters!

  • I have a difficult enough time with toy bows and those little arrows with the suction cups. I would kill myself with a compound bow and real arrows. Benny Hill does a skit called "Stupid Cupid" where Benny, playing Cupid, launches arrows into people to make them fall in love with eachother. The results are predictably disastrous. And hilarious!

  • you need to keep the bow pointed at the target a little longer than that.

  • @ StephanieJANE88 Who says?! If she's on target, I think she knows when to release. What would holding on target any longer accomplish, fatigue and shakiness?

  • if her draw is short it cant be by more than a 1/4 to a1/2 inch. just let the girl shoot. shes obviously comfortable with it. an extra 5-8 fps isnt gonna make a huge difference.

  • I increased my drawlength by an inch since this film was taken. There's a comfortable spot at 26" and one at 27". I've shot 1390+ at both. But I'm comfy at 27" at the moment and shot more consistent 1390s at 27". :)

  • Thats awesome. I shoot a 28" comfortably. And thats impressive that you can shoot that well. I shot for a while at 29" to gain a little speed but I noticed I was sacrificing my form so I dropped back down. But if you can still shoot well I say more power to you.

  • @erikaanear

So how do they change draw length, I hear people talking about it but nobody says how its changed.

  • @4funky1 twisting or untwisting the cables, or twisting/untwisting the string, or changing cams or modules

  • Who is your coach?? I coach archers in British Columbia Canada. My only thought, watching you shoot, is that your draw lenght may be a tad short1!

  • wat is ur draw weight set on?

  • It was 60lb at the point this video was shot. I had to drop it back a few late last year and currently I shoot 58lb.

  • Anyone know the make and model of the bow she has?

  • That's a Hoyt UltraElite 2008 with xt2000 limbs if I remember correctly. I'm currently shooting the UltraElite 2009 with xt3000 limbs.

  • thank you. It is a beautiful piece of equipment. which one do you prefer?

  • Between this yr and last yr? I've shot better scores with the current bow, but I think my technique is infinitely better now too. So hard to tell. But I love my current set up.

  • I am a novice but I can tell that your technique is very clean. You put a lot of work into it. i am impressed.

  • I want her to train me

  • you are from where?

  • not only are you gorgeous your technique is flawless

  • ;-)----->
