  • A few weeks before this interview was filmed I had the great privilege of seeing Angela perform in "Deuce" and meeting her afterward, and I did not hesitate to tell her how much I loved watching the home video version of "Sweeney Todd" with George Hearn that she discusses here. I was 19 then. The chance is quite high I'm one of the "young people" she has on her mind when she happily refers to the legacy of that particular performance/recording. That thrills me.

  • One of my dreams is to see her perform live onstage before she leaves us....and I am hoping that I can make it to NYC to see her in the revival of "A Little Night Music" when it opens.

    She is my favorite Broadway star, mainly thanks to "Mame" and "Sweeney Todd".
