If you really think about it "10,000-6000 years ago, god created the universe, adam and eve lived in peace with dinosaurs until eve ate from a tree of knowledge of good and evil, convinced to do so by a talking snake" is not any more bizarre than dead alien ghosts attached to our souls put their by an ancient president of the galaxy.
Then there's Noah's flood and how he had to get two of every kind of animal with nostrils on a ship, keep them fed for 40 days, land on a mountain top in arrarat for all the animals to disembark and repopulate the earth to its current state of biodiversity all within the last 4400 years...
Then there's the story of Jesus Christ...a man who is his OWN father...and yet his mother is a virgin...even after she gave birth to him! He is god and the son of god at the same time yet asks as he's dying on a cross as a result of a betrayal he knew was going to happen "father, why have you forsaken me?" He dies on the cross for our sins (what is the correlation?) goes to hell and comes back to life 3 days later?!?!
My point being, Scientology is not a very strange religion for its theology in comparison to all the other religions. It's just that it's stuck in a dark ages the same way the Catholic Church was at one time before the protestant reformation and renaissance and the Taliban is now...though not as extreme.
Deimos Saturn...It's not the ridiculous claims of Scientology's teachings...it's the fraud, corruption, espionage, and criminal behavior that make it stand out as a beckon to all that is evil. And before you go off...YES, other religions are responsible for criminal acts...however, please keep that argument to yourself..no matter what other religions have or have not done...Scientology is still a corrupt organization for which public awareness should be increased.

Mythology was predominate in the dark ages because of a lack of awareness or knowledge...Scientology did not suffer from that - its creator was just simply looking for a method of control over others, not a spiritual answer to unknown questions.

It just means we've never seen them before. New species of insect aren't evolving each week, they've been there for millions of years, it's only now that they are being classified.
