  • @AlexT345 i cant see a problem with the way hes playing it !

  • Nice try . Tone is spot-on !!

  • Your awsome man! Keep it up

  • Great job man...solo is kinda sloppy...but aint no big deal man...practice makes perfect...which btw i need to be doin...lol...got alot to learn about drums still...i prolly will never be satisfied with my playing no matter what...i dont think any musician ever is lol...its just how it is...peace man take care...and again great guitar playing

  • he reminds me of kurdt kobain ( i no its kurt cobain get off me)

  • bravo...

  • simply teriffic

  • YOU are awesome. This has got to be one of my favorite songs of all time and I appreciate your attention to the detail that does it justice. Sounds almost identical! Great job!!!

  • Well done and you resemble Pete Willis to a degree.

  • I concur with your assessment of this outstanding tune, (one of the greatest in the World) and you play it well!

  • fill touch ass!!!!!

  • Dude, use your pinky, solo was ugly and awkward ... watch phil collen play it :) inspiring !

  • Thanks for the input man! Yea, that was a while ago. I've been working on my uh pinky deficiency since then haha. I'm getting there. Maybe I'll post a newer version soon.

  • @brigmaticLaw awesome :) ill come and watch it ! :)

  • excellent job the tuning is super tricky not an easy song either , i havent gotten this one completely down yet but working on it

  • the song itself isnt that hard. The solo is the tricky part.

  • I thought Photograph was from the album Hysteria. Not trying to be a jerk. Good playing.

  • photograph was from pyromania

  • that was really good, the solo can use work though, besides that it was excellent

  • where did u learn this song please we all need ur help!!!! By the way GREAT lesson!!!!! I RATED 5 STARS BECAUSE IT WAS WAY TO GOOD AND WAS WORTH 4 MINUTES AND 8 SECONDS OF MY LIFE!!! KEEP ROCKING ON!!!!:D

  • how much do they cost

  • hey. it's a squier '51. I bought it about three years ago for $150 but they have been discontinued for about two years now. check out ebay. since they are no longer made I really cant say how much one would run you these days,

  • wut kind of guitar is that? it looks like a Strat but it might be sumthin else

  • its a telecaster.........

  • Great cover Man!! Can you put together a step by step video how to play this song!!! Much appreciated!!!!!!

  • Excellent!

  • Pretty Cool, Great job !

There are some people on stage that cant play there own stuff live, They hit a lot of wrong notes and still do it looking cool. Your playing to a track that could have taken 3 weeks to make and your right on top of it.

  • It looks like theres a fucking mushroom on your head. fuck your hair. everything else is ok.

  • Better than the usual mushroom stamp across your lips. Isn't it?

  • Very good. How long have you been practise on this song?

  • dude where did u get the tab! that sounds mad good. im tryin to play it in a show but cant find much on it out there. let me kno

  • oh my god! that's so good! sounds exactly like them! bravo

  • Thanks :)

  • quieeeeer!!!

  • Thanks? I think? btw, if you were trying to call me gay it's spelled "queer". If you're going to insult me, do it right.

  • Almost man! but great song!

  • great great great!!!! just some things were off like the pre chorus you should play the full chords than the power chords and the main riff if played 9th and 7th frets but other than that awsome cover

  • My friend...you make all of ous Squier 51 owners look good. Great job!

  • That is f*$%ing beautiful. Wow.

  • hahaha. thanks a lot! =D

  • 1/4 step down, wow, i didn't know bands did that

  • yea. it's kinda cool. i dont think the band purposely did it though. from what my then guitar teacher told me, the tape machine probably wasn't calibrated correctly and it was running a bit slow. either way i think this tuning works the best.

  • perfect i love def leppard

  • ha nice.. i hate the EXACT same guitar..

  • i have the same guitar.. lol

  • sweet. they're pretty nice guitars aren't they?

  • great job dude ive been practicing alot of different songs but dont know which one to put up for my first vid. photograph my be the one im gonna put on. keep up the great playin man :)

  • dude that was pretty much amazing man that rocked. your awsome.

  • Where the hell were you back in 1998? I only wish I could have found someone who liked Def Leppard back then. I played the drums for 15 years. When I went to college, it was nothing but hippy crap and EMO. Barf! I just sold the last piece of my drum set last week! Keep rocking!!!!!!

Phil Collen is the man!!! Hysteria (the song) is amazing. Keep it up bro!!!

  • I was in 3rd or 4th grade back in '98. Back then I didn't listen to much music at all. It wasn't until 7th or 8th grade that I got turned on to the classic and really started to get in to music. I'm a senior in high school now and sadly the music scene isn't much better! lol. Phil is an amazing guitarist and my major guitar role model. Thanks so much for the kind words man! I appreciate it!

  • you are almost as good as phill collin. but on the high notes you have to tune it to make the tune lower becaues its to hi

  • hey man thanks! I wish I was almost as good as Phil. I hope to be able to play like him eventually as he's my main guitar "role model" I guess you could say. Maybe influence is a better word. Anyway, thanks again!

  • nice

  • youve got a serious buzzing at some spots. Get your groundwire checked. Other than that it was badass.

  • thanks. when i made this vid i was using some crappy cable that actually just died on me a few weeks ago. i've now got a nice sturdy cable and the buzz is gone.

  • Sounds great. Keep it up.

  • Nice Its Awesome

  • this blows

  • thanks. why dont you go ahead and post some videos of yourself playing it better and then tell me this blows. because until then your comment holds no validity with me since i have nothing or yours to compare myself to. thanks for the comment either way.

  • You should stop trying to validate your work against online critics. It makes you seem desperate and undefined.

  • i'm not desperate or unrefined. i couldn't care less if he likes my videos or not. i don't need to validate my work any more because of all the good comments below. i'm just saying that if he wants to tell me this blows then he'd better back it up with a video thats better than mine. I'm willing to admit that i suck. this is one of the 5 or 6 songs that i can play from start to finish. otherwise i suck at a lot of other stuff. i make mistakes all over the place. but i get your point. thanks.

  • I don't want this to sound like I'm dissing you or anything but this is so,so or fairly good

check out STEVE04050's version of Photograph

    It's almost spot on!

  • i actually agree with you. there are places where mine can be much better. i'm a perfectionist sometimes and i'm always aware of when something can be improved.

i'm a huge fan of STEVE04050. I've seen almost all of his vids and he is truly a great guitarist. Thanks for the comment! :)

  • As do you, the only instrument you play is guitar hero.

  • Kick ass dude!

  • Very nicely done!! You really make it easier for us guys with no talent to learn these songs. Thank you.

  • man that is insane, i wish i could do that..

    keep it up =]

  • gnarly!

  • thats fucken ausome

  • La mutante! Plus!!

  • dude ur awesome how long did it take you to learn it

  • thanks. it took me about 2 weeks to get everything down to my high standards.

  • are you in a band?

  • not really. me and a few friends get together to jam on occasion. i would like to get a band together with some friends this summer though.

  • Hey, This is my favorite song and I know that if alot of poeple tried to play it (including me) they would have butchered it but YOU done a wicket job! Haha you're almost and good as Phile Collen (lead guitarist of def leppard) anywayz wicket job oh and on 1-10 scale how hard is that song to play?

  • Hey, Thanks for the kind words! I wouldn't say that I'm anywhere near Phil's expertise but I'm definitely a technical perfectionist when it comes to playing a song. :D On a scale of 1-10 i'd have to say it was a 7 when i first started to learn it but now its more like a 3 or even a 2(on good days, haha). It just takes some time to figure out a way to make it all work. I will say it was a hell of a time trying to figure out what tuning it was in! haha. Anyway, thanks again! I appreciate it!

  • Hey no problem on the comment you deserved it :) And it might have been a weird question to ask but I just wanted to know because I wanted to learn it and I just wanted to know how hard it was. Oh and how long were you playing and do you think a beginner could learn it? Thanks for everything!

  • No worries. It's better to ask a weird question than to not ask at all. haha. This was actually the very first song I learned on electric guitar. I had only been playing acoustic for a few months at that point and I sucked something awful so it is definitely possible for a beginner to learn it. I could try and scan the tabs my teacher wrote out for me if you're interested. I found them to be much easier that the ones on the internet.

  • Btw, I've been playing for about 2 years now. It'll be exactly 2 years in April.

  • Yah right now I only have an acoustic but if everything goes as planned then I will be getting my good electric one very shortly :) Yah and if I got to pick the first song to learn it would definitly be this one! Anywayz so ya msg me back with the guitar tabs if ya can, that would be great :) Thanks again,I really appraichiate it.

  • Awesome dude, great song too!

  • dude that was so good!!!!!!!!

    you rock!

    make more

  • dude that was freaking great! how long did that take to learn?

  • This was actually the very first song I learned on electric guitar. That was almost 2 years ago. haha. It took me about a week or two to figure out where everything went and then another week to figure out the solo, which I still have a bit of trouble with believe it or not. :)

  • it's a difficult song, me and my band tried to learn it but just gave up and swtiched to pour some sugar on me.

  • awesome dude!

  • Excellent job! I can see you really know the song. Which pickup setting were you using on your '51 (I have the same one, same color)?

  • Thanks! I was using the bridge humbucker. I really like how these guitars sound. It's probably one of the best $150 I've spent. haha. And now I'm even happier knowing that I got my hands on one before Squier discontinued them.

  • so what exactly is your set up bro... this is awesome by the way!

  • Thanks a lot! My setup in this video is as follows:

Guitar - Squier '51 (I also have an Ibanez RG120)

Effects/Preamp - Behringer V-Amp 2. I'm using a patch called 1984 which I got from the V-amp website. I have slightly edited it to have a more Def Leppard tone.

Amp - Roland Cube 15 on the clean channel.

Thanks again for the kind words and for watching!

  • ahh bryan! i love thisss :D
