  • Well, thats interesting. But I still have to question your answer. I grew up very close to a large family of witnesses. One of the oldest children was recently baptized to become a Baptist. However her family does not consider her an apostate. And even though she does not associate with most of her "Witness" friends any longer, when she does happen to see them, they in no way shun her and are always very polite, even though they know the path she has chosen. Thank-you again for your answer.

  • well lisa,

apparently that person was never baptized as a Witness before doing that. they would be disfellowshipped for that, and most llikely labeled an apostate.

ask any Witness if a baptized Witness would be disfellowshipped if they became a Baptist.

the only way they wouldn't is if they disassociated themselves before they did it. however, whether you disassociate yourself (voluntary removal) or you get disfellowshipped (forced removal)...you get the same treatment...severe shunning.

  • Why was the witness part the only part that was different? And frankly, I don't thik I have ever seen ANY religion that DIDn't seem "Cult-like" in some way......kinda hit a sore spot with you or what? Just curious.

  • peace lisa,

i thought it was important to bring up that there was nothing wrong with former Witnesses preaching either. that organization labels anyone who formally was a Witness, who preaches any other belief, as apostates. when in truth, they have a right to preach as well...and they are not apostates if they are exposing things they sincerely believe to be false..

the entire video was about people condemning others who preach...while they themselves think it is fine to do so.

  • I know some witnesses, and I believe the thinking on that is NOT if they preach any other belief, but slander to any one is wrong, and that is what would be considered the apostate act, if I'm not mistaken. But thank-you for your answer.

  • hello again lisa,

i was a Witness for about 13 years.

actually, if someone leaves the organization to join another faith they are called an apostate too. they do not have to slander the organization.

even if a person sincerely speaks out about teachings they don't agree with, not to be hateful but helpful...they are labeled an apostate.

    i am considered an apostate.

but what i really am...is a servant of God.

    peace once more

  • If only more Muslims followed that...

  • peace AlMahdi and ray,

this video is about preaching, not Ramadan. let's stick to the subject of the video in the comments for this video.

the subject of Ramadan was discussed in the last video.

if you do not agree, that is fine...but that is not what this video is about.

  • assalaamualeykum becca,

poignant video. sincerely felt. My only wish is that the muslims re evaluate the teachings of their fathers and go back to the Quran.

    insha Allah

  • wa'aleykum salaam manic,

    insha"Lah

  • No problem with your answer, either I am right or you are right, that would not change anything for the others. Each one is responsible for his own decisions, so neither me nor you would be able to deceive anyone (even by ignorance). Allah can guide me, can guide you and can guide anyone he wants.

    Peace

  • yes AlMahdi,

the simple truth is ...God guides whomever He pleases.

He only guides those who choose to be guided, and He can guide all of us if He wills.

    Surah 6:149

we all have to answer to Allah for what we do...and we will not be able to blame anyone else.

    peace upon you

    Peace

  • peace brother lapce,

i am so happy to know you, masha'Lah

  • Becca, When you say fasting is not compulsory and neither is Hajj and alcohol is legal it seems like your trying to deceive people because your teachings contradict the Qur'an. And are you referring to bionicwoman and hpesoj8 cuz i've seen the vids that call you all those names.

  • yes ray,

those are who i was referring to, and some others.

i did not say fasting was not compulsory.

i said fasting for Ramadan, in my understanding, is not.

the Quran says that you may perform another sacrifice other than Hajj,

these two things are discussed in detail in Parts 7 and 97.

i have presented proof from both the Bible and Quran regarding moderate use of alcohol in Part 64.

you can surely believe whatever you do.

i have provided amply Scriptural proof supporting my beliefs.

    peace

  • ok, good vid,,,i am guilty of this myself on occasion,,,when people become ignorant and aggressive with me,,,sometimes i answer their ignorance with ignorance, which is wrong, may allah forgive me for my ignorance

  • peace brother Dabo,

no one is perfect. we could all go about preaching in a better manner at times.

also, no one is right about everything...this does not make them a liar.
