  • IPADRE IS AWESOME...

  • That was 1992

  • Was this before 1989?

  • @luvpinas123 This was June 13, 1992

  • @ipadre How come this doesn't use the Liturgical reforms of the 1989 Ordinal which was aprroved by His Holiness John Paul II? Was it implemented that time already?

  • I wanted to hear the full prayer of consecration though.....

  • I just hate it when Sedevacntists try and try and to no avail (thank God) of refuting the Second Vatican council!

  • I like the old order better, and in special occasions I like them as long and formal as possible, the daily mass should be reverant and teaching but, one can be a bit more time coucious since people do have to work and stuff to get to.

I like the use of latin, chant, the organ, and the incense. I also like a priest that can teach and get the message across like a teacher in a class, that can make you think, and I also like the proper use of all candles, and prayers on the days of solemnitys.

  • Very helpful reference.

    God bless

  • loved it !

  • imagine being given the power over people's souls

  • it´s cool to see that it is the same rite all over the world =)

  • The world catholic means universal, the only church that has remained constant.

  • and the ordination is NOT A SHOW!

  • its most beautiful in latin

  • Its good that you are a Lutheran.. I was born Catholic but now I will be ordqained by the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (UFMCC).

  • I'm actually a Roman Catholic!

  • Ah ok.. I'm sorry I thought your the other one I'm talking. :)

  • @cjay1023 Man Made Churches are only Made to be Destroyed so why not the Part of Christ's Church.

  • I love it.. I will be ordained soon..your invited to attend on September 14

  • I'm a Lutheran, not a Catholic but an early congradulations on your ordination this Sunday. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May he make his face shine upon you and be gracious unto you. The Lord look upon you with favor and give you peace. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

  • hi ipadre i want to be a priest but i can't disregard my wrong doings....what should i do :-(

  • As I said to cjay, I'm a Lutheran. However as a Catholic you should confess your sins to a priest and receive the Lord's forgiveness.

Once you have been forgiven you should disregard those wrong doings because God has disregarded them. Guilt is a tool of Satan, and if you are called to be a priest but guilt has stopped you, then his tool has been effective.

As long as you can commit yourself to the requirements of priesthood and you feel called to do so. Then follow God's call.

  • this video is so boring joseph lay is sleeping pope oral

  • mr. ipadre... how can i a 14 yr old high-school student become an SVD priest here in the philippines? thank you...

  • hey erin3ard... we share the same calling... ur not alone...

  • i feel im being called to the priesthood., this makes me so excited!

  • I have tears in my eyes! I can only wish to be worthy to serve as priest..

  • You can become a priest! We need priest!

  • amazing! I wish Baptist would ordain pastors like this!

  • Very well put together and extremely informative!

  • Plus, the patriarch doesn't kneel on the litany, nor does he tie the hands of the ordainee... on the rest it's almost the same! Does the bishop actually sing the huge ordination prayer?? Thank you!

  • It all depends on the Bishop. Some are comfortable singing and others are not.

  • I know... but it's huge... to sing it would take at least 15 minutes!! Since the full ordination mass is already 2 and a half hours long...

  • Or at least the portuguese consecration prayer is huge... goes on telling the whole history of priesthood since Abraham to our days, going through the various rites and offices and functions... it is a nice prayer, beaitfully written like only the church of God knows to write.

  • Thank you for posting this video! Untill now, I had only seen one in Portuguese. Twice a year I attend the ordinations by the Patriarch of Lisbon. It's a grand and magnificent Ceremony. Somehow the portuguese language seems more formal and more poetical, though the words are the same in both languages.

  • Thank you for showing this video Father, I have watched all of you videos, they are outstanding.

    Yours
