Dear God, this show is so shit, it's like one of those meta-series inside of other TV-series they use to highlight how retarded and formulaic television has become. Like "single female lawyer" from Futurama. The creators of TBBT make no attempt to create intelligent plots, dialogue or stories. They rely on the laughter track as a complete crutch. Seriously, laughter tracks? Is this the 90s?

@DrOnline82 They don't use a laugh track. It's proven by watching their outtakes and blooper reels. Seriously. Watch some on YouTube. You can see the actors reacting to the audience and hear the laughter. It sounds laugh tracky, because that's what laughter sounds like, duh. I dunno. I'm not trying to change your mind but saying that they rely on laugh tracks isn't true. The writers of this show produce the best dialogue in any comedy on television (except maybe Modern Family). Yay for Big Bang!

The comedy to those that don't watch the show is that Sheldon is very bright yet un diagnosed high functioning autistic adult.

Penny was using mimicry in a bitchy way to slag off the other girl in the apartment. Sheldon (because of his nature) missed this completely and saw it as a type of talking point (mimicry)

So he shares the one he has been working on (Adimral Ackbar from Star Wars). It is a comedy with brains and heart and very well written.

Ha ha, that was for being 'crazy' though - and even with being 'crazy' - in season 5 I think his mumsays (to add to the being tested joke) that there was another professional that wanted to do more tests as he felt that Sheldon showed signs.... or something similar.

oh & TBBT are shot just the way friends were: in front of a live studio audience, they dont use a track. sometimes the audience actually laugh so hard they have to cut laughter away when theyre editing the episode cause you cant hear the actors good enough. a show that does use a laugh track however is HIMYM. I personally think its weird watching comedy shows without laughter in the background, just compare TBBT bloopers to HIMYM bloopers, HIMYM isnt as fun without that laughing audience.

To me it doesn't seem like Sheldon's impersonation has anything to with the phrase being popular on the internet. People imitated that line long before it became an internet meme, and I think the character is much more likely to be mimicking the movie itself for the sake of mimicking the movie and nothing to do with what the internet made of it.
