  • oh my god this is awesome - lol

  • This is really really awful and stupid.

  • oh man i might have to repeat the first year and my dads gonna give me alot of shit for it too lol but i think i might drop out, tell me what makes medical so good in the end???

  • U forgot to mention all bullshit useless classes they give u,,that have nothing to do with the medical field

  • @5tonyvvvv lol haha i have ICT, Library training and some other bullshit things too. the only problem in medical school is anatomy and physiology which are similiar. they are the biggest bitches in the world.

  • hehehe great

  • this is pretty good editing. so funny, loved it.

  • great

  • Woot woot UT Health Science Center San Antonio!

  • how many years is medical school in your country???

    in mine (egypt) it's 7

  • " Free your schedule"--- ahhaha

  • this is pretty good. How did you find the time to do this if you're in med school

  • so many med student videos...this ones the most creative. awesome vid!

  • excellent.

  • hahahah love it!

  • hahaha so my favorite part was at 0:57 where you see the guys playing frisbee and one is hopping around all happy...then it cuts to your face and you look sooooo saaaaaadddd haha

  • wow that was cool

  • hahah.

  • i am in university of west indies trinidad final yr med school on a break.. i totaally enjoyed that movie clip..

  • Fun is the disease, and we... are the cure. Brilliant! Can't wait to get into medical school. I will fight and won't stop until I am satisfied.

  • Somehow this relieves my doubts about going to medical school.

    Thanks.

  • Hey this is in San Antonio, i am from there, but doing medical school in the caribbeans, haha awesome video.

  • how many caribbeans are there?

  • good video..

    well, im a med student..

  • noone gives a damn if you're a med student. keep it to yourself.

  • LMAO!!!!!!!

  • Could some one help me? I am planning on attending to medical school. I am currently a senior in high school. I was wondering: If I go to a Community College for two years, will this hurt my chances of getting admitted into medical school? will it look bad on my resume?

  • samtron77v I'm assuming you're planning on transferring from a CC to a State University? Anyway, no I don't think this hurts your chances of getting into medical school at all. Good luck!

  • no buddy! I did it.... Just get your G.E. courses out of the way and then transfer 2 a University. U can declare your major at a 2year college and then go on 2 the college that best fits you. If your Pre-med like I was then tell the counselor that you want to be and he or she will give u the courses you need 2 take and tell u the GPA u must have 2 transfer and how many unit course hrs u need 2 transfer 2 a university. I did it and Im in the army and got a wife and 2 year old. You'll be fine.

  • that was totally awesome!

  • favourited!

Really nicely edited and made. It must have taken a lot of time and effort...

  • LMAO.. you guys make this much easier

  • cOol!!

  • A great film and great effects. It also has a grain of truth in it;)

  • Hey whats all this talk about how much doctors make for a living. If your doing it for the money then get the hell outta the way and let the people who want to make a difference do what they have worked so hard to do. And by the way isnt it true that those who dont get into med school become pharmacists, rite "pharmacyiii"

  • LOL what a video!

  • dude im in medical school....GET ME THE HELL OUT OF HERE!!!!!

  • dude the guy at 1:19 is sooo ugly, but congrats on getting into med school.

  • brilliant!!If you pass med school, can you come to the UK and teach these assholes who call themselves doctors what they are SUPPOSED to do.You know fix people, make us how we used to be before getting ill, rather than playing golf and dishing out more upon more useless pills. The golf and car are ofcourse paid for by the drugs companies.

  • too bad doctors make only $40k a year after you graduate.

nurses make about the same too - only $40k a year.

  • I think it really depends on what residency program you get into.

  • PGY1 (intern) salary is around $42K this year and goes up every year. However, after residency is over doctors can make the big bucks. I know of some $800K/year.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA that was so awesome

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA that was so awesome

  • I just LOOOOVVVVVVVEEEEE this vid.

  • Can I be Agent Smith?

  • That was great.

  • That was excellent.

How did you make that so real?

  • man , thats sooo real

  • Medical students ability to organize his time and life determines success or failure. Failure is not uncommon in medicine, such a vast amount of information...get a second chance to learn. More students should learn yoga, meditation, ayurveda, breathing exercises. Success is more about learning rather than getting the highest mark.

  • Concentrate and stay in the moment of stress. Get a regular massage. Dam it Jim, there is nothing wrong with medical school! Would be Doctor look after your own mental and physical health first !

  • You need some EGO to motivate yourself in the world but leave most of it in your glove compartment. Greater than thou complex....

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL so true.. hahahaha

if i could go back in my life, i would never ever even think of being a medic. loool

  • God, I love this video so much. It cracks me up every time. =)

I think about dropping out of med school every day. Hope it's worth it in the end. Not too sure though =(.

  • It's worth it. Don't drop out. Take the blue pill. Stay in the dreamworld. You'll love the steak, even if it isn't real.

  • medical school is gonna have me in a few years and I will be a kick a.. doctor :D

...I hope I don't drop off when I'm there XD

  • too bad doctors make only $40k a year after you graduate.

nurses make about the same too - only $40k a year.

  • 40k. Man am I overpaid

  • @pharmacyiii That's mostly due to the fact that we won't know jack after we graduate.

  • @pharmacyiii i was going to ask where do you find nurse making $40K then i realized your comment is 2 yrs old.. i

  • @pharmacyiii haha what doctors are you talking about? where i live 6 figures for a doctor is standard...

  • Very funny, in four years the medical school will have me.

  • Dude that was great

  • 2 thumbs up.

  • Nice ;)

  • LOL, this had me crackin' up! fabulous video! i'm in grad school and i can totally relate. The thing is though, if i were to drop out, i would have no idea what to do with my life!

  • gosh this film has sparked a lot of heated discussion...I dont think Neil should drop out of medical school! I think he just needs to go home, visit with his parents, stroke his dog, put on a few pounds and then return...good luck Neil (dont tell me, if you do leave, you're going into animation, right? lol)

  • First, awesome video. Second, I read all the comments, and I had to comment on Spetsop's lamenting about the lack of cures that pharmaceuticals provide. What more does the guy want?? If (insert your favorite non-pharmaceutical therapy here) was a definitive treatment that cured or helped as many people as medications do, we'd be ALL over it! It's one thing to note conflicts of interest--quite another to actually solve a problem as opposed to merely placing blame.

  • haha, awesome video, you guys are right about one thing for sure... med school IS a world that's been pulled over our eyes... by pharmaceutical companies... 'drugs are the only cure for disease...' bullsh*t... drugs just cover the symptoms... but never get to the root of them...

  • I like to "cover up the symptoms" of my diabetes with insulin. Stupid drug companies and their phony baloney ways of keeping me out of ketoacidosis. Shame on them.

  • oh i see then... well tell me then... what is insulin doing besides covering up the symptoms? you mean to tell me that after you take it once, twice, three times... ok lets go for further, after you take it for a month... does your diabetes go away?

  • Insulin keeps you from incurring the microvascular degredation that is the natural progression of elevated blood sugar levels secondary to autoimmune destruction of the pancreas or resistance to endogenous insulin. In any case, your choices are go blind, incur renal failure, cardiac disease and myriad other complications from this dysfunction or to manage the symptoms.

  • I hope you never get diabetes, hypertension, cancer, or infections of any kind Spetsop, otherwise you may have to humbly patronize those who you villify in the pharmaceutical industry. Like most things, they aren't all good, or all bad. Their motivations are shades of grey but they are necessary.

  • they are necessary, i agree, but it's also necessary to educate on HOW to cure the disease, not only on how to cover up its symptoms... drugs are the main base for western medicine... but there are other types too... anyways... good luck in med school :) (I appologize for earlier comments)

  • true, but where do you say in your explanation that it actually cures the disease? it just stops everything that is going to take place IF you do nothing... blood sugar doesn't go up just because, something must be wrong, as u said autoimmune disorder, but what's the reason for this autoimmunce disorder for example... as you said yourself '... to manage the symptoms' not '... to cure the disease, so you don't have to manage the symptoms'

  • i'm not saying anything against med schools, i'm starting one myself, i just think that pharmaceutical companies hide the truth about diseases and do not allow diseases to be cured, sure there are cases where the disease is cured, antibiotics of example... still most of the time a person has to take a drug for the rest of their live, plus on top of that take drugs to counteract the 'side effects' of the first drug..

  • Some background on the video from the maker: My name is Andrew. My friends and I made this video for the class of 2002 at UT San Antonio as a part of a quasi talent show/roast of the staff and institution. It was made in April 2002 on a budget of about $100. It's amazing what you can do with free time and free software.

  • Brand new medical school just opened in California called STEWART UNIVERSITY, they are taking applications

    STEWARTMED ORG

  • hard core, man! keep it up! Blue pill or Red pill?!

  • what med school do u go to ?

  • Andrew, still brilliant (and humble). Nice. My favorite is the scene with the Azad twins in a skirt. Lucky I'm on call tonight, I wouldn't be able to sleep after that anyway... Just happened to stumble across this...fond memories

  • Who is this? One of my pals from school?

  • This is the Central Scrutinizer! How's New Mexico? Check your messages...

  • Not the best way I could spend...what, almost three minutes of my life...but there are worse, I suppose.

  • Great video mate!

  • Good video but suck it up. Everyone goes through the same crap. You'll be lucky enough to be protected from the new residency rules - if you make it.

  • thats funny xx

  • simply amazing. well done.

  • i wish i was in med school. i would do pretty much anything to get in.

  • LOL, make it into a series, hey I'd watch it

  • Absolutely hillarious, good job!

  • dude that video kicked ass. it was very well done

  • HAHAHA OMFG LMAO

  • overrated

  • see, I know this can't be done by actual medical students, because they wouldn't have time to do this.

nice job, but it makes me appreciate the special effects that actually get used in Hollywood. ;-)

  • hilarious

  • i agree! :P

  • you would be suprised how much time med students waste

  • hehe i agree with you!

  • Lmao nice one.

  • A champ for med students everywhere. Great vid!

  • awesome how do you have time for this?

  • 4th year was a good year. God bless elective rotations.

  • I absolutly LOVED this video. Its so true but so entertaining as well. Kinda lifts your spirit knowing you're not the only one out there, and it's a normal thing that every medical student goes through.

I hope that you guys make a sequal to this video and show the rewarding part of actually making it through!

    Future Doctor,

    Natacha

  • This is really cool. The deans never let you out. Never. Never. Never. You will graduate!!! You will become an intern slave. It is the way of things you know for you, for me and all others on this dark path. Signed Dave from Drexel COM.

  • Hee hee that did make me laugh! Every one of us has at least one "what the hell am I doing here sloggin my life away" moment when things get tough (and boy do they get tough) but it inavriably passes. I hope you didnt quit and its just sharp wit, itll be worth it in the end. Its written into your genes ...

  • AMAZING!!!! i'm in med school i can totally relate (but i don't want to drop out though :P)

  • HaHa...is that Cerberus from Student Doctor days? All of trying so hard to get in and then complaining about how much it sucks. Good Video. You want Matrix...try being a medical student in New Orleans during Katrina.

  • Med school isn't that hard you pussies

  • I want out too! Help me!

  • very good :)

  • Scratch a Cynic, and you find a disappointed Idealist...

Scratch an Indian American (Ghandi, not Geronimo) and you'll find a repressed good-son/daughter fulfilling their role as future Doctor/Engineer/Lawyer... and FIND... an actual PERSON who has LIMITLESS potential as sometone MORE important, influential, and has a MFing PASSION for what they CHOOSE to DO in LIFE...

  • such as...?

  • Two words... Powerful Question.

  • .....

this is what you dragged me out here for?

  • A) Well-done video

    B) Captures Med School and the "Med School Mentality" Well

    C) I am SOOOOOOOO MFing glad I dropped out of Med School

    D) The Human Race is a Disease

    E) Machines are NOT the cure but, hey...

    F) It's better than the idea of Human Assholes living longer and longer and longer and longer...

    G) Fuck People.

    H) Yay for Free Will.

  • You are pathetic mehhh15. Don't be bitter just because you couldn't cut it.

  • wooooooooooooooooooooooow it was cooooooooooooooooooool

    i simply loved it

    i guess dats the truth

    fun is a disease hahahahahaha

    good

  • wait till you enter the post-medical-school world...that's the true Matrix..If you think you've seen it all and that you're trapped...just give it a little time...the real world is out there....eeeek

  • Very nice, I liked it.

  • hahahaha cool , I'm at the medical school too, I know how it feels... Keep going

  • Haha. A 15 for effort. The whole world is full of laghter. Medical school is no laughing matter. Laughter leads to fun. And "fun is the disease".

  • andrew congrats.. one of the coolest vids on youtube. Im surprised by its lack of veiws, you should promote this

  • Thanks alot. How do I promote it? I love attention, especially when it's not alot of people swearing angrily at me.

  • LOL LOL LOL!! I'm a med student too and Medical School has me. Please Neo show me the way out! I want to see the truth!

  • The truth is... medicine is pretty good when you're done with residency. Till then, it blows.

  • Hey dude, that movie Matrix stole all your ideas! If you have time to make this movie, the time-problem isn't that big. :] Anyways, neatly done, It doesn't seem easy to make something like that.

  • This is an awesome video, I'm hoping of going to that medical school.

  • lol And I thought nursing school was bad.

  • thats great,im amedical student too . :)

  • lol Very funny, partly from the jokes, partly that it looked so bad.

    PS: Alf? Wtf?

  • Whaddaya want? I had a budget of my lunch money for the week (about $16.50) BTW, Alf was a metaphor for feeling like you don't belong in a world of simulacra and artificiality. JK, actually, my friend was wearing the mask and we thought it would be stupid and irrelevant so I put it in.

  • Whaddaya expect with a budget of my lunch money for the week?

  • Ok I give you points for that but it still looked bad. :P

  • 1) What utilities did you use to create this

    2) Shouldn't you have been studying for boards or something??

    Very impressive

  • Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and a lot of elective months. BTW, I'm a terrible doctor :( I should've studied.

  • Guys, very impressive!!...we've all had those thoughts..I'm havin 'em now..lol

  • I didn't make it out in time, but save yourself!

  • funny dv

  • Glad you like. More to come soon.

  • haha, what medical school is this?
