I wish Rooney Mara the best of luck. Noomi's work was unreal it was so good, so anyone re-doing the character has their work cut out for them. Personally, I laughed at Scarlotte being mentioned for this, as she's not nearly good enough to play Lisbeth. Natalie Portman's "exhaustion" excuse was laughable as well. Funny back in 2008, many people were outraged at the castings of Noomi Rapace and Michael Nyqvuist... saying that the actors are nothing like the characters and Noomi was too tall for Lisbeth (like the directors are gonna find a talented elf to play) Later, when it was released in 2009, they become beloved internationally (esp. Noomi). And now the people are reacting the same way towards the American version. Just wait until December. We'll see. I pray that Fincher will not disappoint us.

For example, Jane Eyre's been done several times but each film presented each director's own perspective of the novel. Same goes for the Millennium series.
