  • I like this clip. Thank you. I remember visiting there in November 1978 with my friend. Then in that area we met a man who showed us a self made hand gun and a map with Northern Pakistan as the center of the world. I often thought of this incident when I heard that Osama Bin Laden was thought to be in Northern Pakistan. Now that he is dead this seems like a deja vue.

  • Thanks for posting it. Wow, it looks so different from the last time I was there, which was eons ago!! Well, it was in 1995- I remember there used to be a place that has all these shops that sold fruits, gums and candies etc, and they were kind of underground. It was a like a mini road and there were shops on both sides, and it was all covered, and you'd walk there. Wonder if that still exists? Thanks for sharing!

  • It's called the Covered Market, which was built on the original route connecting the Agency area with The Mall. It is still there. The platform space infront of Marhaba Hotel and Punjab Handicrafts is actually the market's rooftop.

  • Hi Atif...great pictures of Murree....many thnaks for posting this..lots of memories here!
