  • yea and also jobe you forgot to mow tha lawn again

  • Trivia: Some of these clips are from CGI commercials.

  • So Cool Thumbs Up! Btw if anyone that cares to test my VR (using your 3d glasses + headphones) feel free to check out my channel :)

  • I can't believe so many people watched it as kids.. I watched thiisss allll the time as a kid.. like nooo joke ALL THE TIME i remembered it because my niece was just born and it brang back memories of my childhood.. just tripped so bad

  • 1:06 enter Tardis here :DD

  • I have this on VHS somewhere but i can't find it. I guess it's lost in time....

  • Hell yea this is the perfect thing to watch after wake and bake o get your day going

  • It's strange how this looked mindblowing at the time.

  • And so many balls where tripped that day...

  • i watched this all the time as a kid, so fucking epic

  • I watched this all the time, and me and my brother used to put action figures up to the TV and make them go through and witness all of this.

  • @bullitosaladino Me too.

But instead of action figures I used to

scribble some parts of Virtual Reality on the

front of my school journal at school when I was in

grade 4 or 5. 1:35-1:49 is my favorite part.

What is favorite part on Virtual Reality?

  • I watched this religiously as a child too! My dad had it!

  • I just got high

  • Wasn't This Music Video Movie like a total turning point for all the stunning computer animated films we see today such as pixar? anyway I remember my first time watching this I was a stump on a long when I was at Ultimate Electronics store, where they had 2 home theater rooms on demo one had this playing and the other had a movie going. I sat there for the entire presentation. it was epic.

  • Funny, I don't remember taking acid today...

  • YOOO!!! I used to watch this when i was a kid....now i'm an adult that's high on weed!

  • im Definitely watching this the next time i do shrooms! :))

  • All I see is the doctor who opening at 1:05

  • I mostly prefer the Gate, but this is still a good one

  • What's good, dun!

  • Oh, and I bought this JAN HAMMER cd, too.......... I don't care how dated people may think this music/video is, I say it is TIMELESS. I listen to this CD religiously and watch the video the same way.

  • Steven Churchill is a genius for bringing these together

    ..........

  • these are the greatest videos ever for the select elite few who know what they mean

  • @Banged147Chicks Wat do they mean anyways. they look fun, especially when im high.

  • Then you know what they mean. That's why the website is called ANIMATIONTRIP. They have to say it's for artistic purposes, but we all know what we are doing with these videos. I don't trip anymore, but watching these videos brings back so many memories. Check out all their videos on that ANIMATIONTRIP site if you want some good dvd's.

  • Is that Zordon?!? o.O

  • I could have sworn i was the only kid who watched this religiously, gives me chills, i feel like im 5 again

  • @TechnoFestDestiny omg me too!!!!! i dont know why

  • @TechnoFestDestiny You definitely weren't the only one. :) I had the VHS when I was little. It used to fascinate and terrify me all at once. I bet kids today would hate this, they're too spoiled with CGI and technology.

  • @TechnoFestDestiny same :)

  • @TechnoFestDestiny No way man, I too have watched this so many times, you're not alone

I have gone to great lengths to acquire all of the original soundtracks and even rip the audio from video as apparently the OST is slightly different from what you see and hear.

Still though, Odyssey Into the Mind's Eye seems to be the most elusive along with Miramar's other works...

  • @Waxer3929 I also watched this hundreds of times as a child... ha! My dad got me onto this as well. Like verg said, it warms my heart too.

  • @TechnoFestDestiny

I too watched this all the time when I as a child, it's amazing! These are my favorite movies, with other movies that take imagination to create. Watching these warm my heart cause I used to watch them with my dad. He was the one that turned me on to these.

  • @vergillicious same here man, same experience with me

  • Wasn't the part where they kiss in some movie about virtual reality? Can't remember the name of it though.

  • @spartanelite300 Yes, "The Lawnmower Man"

  • Tripping balls on LSD is like this /

  • but this in not i am thinking, does it possible what is im my mind i see it in virtural reality with my own eyes

  • We took this video back in '92 and synced it up with White Zombie's first release..It was like Floyd meets the Wizard all over. Amazing connection all throughout the disc. Wish I could post 'that'!

  • My childhood.

  • I bought this dvd in 1994 when I was 18 and I used to play acid trance or techno while watching the videos and since I never did echstacy or non of that stuff this was pretty much my drug to me lol

  • the music is throwing me off because we always synced this up with Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. OK, I know everything syncs up when you;re on acid, but if you do this one right, :Welcome to the Machine will blow your mind.

  • i used to watch this as a child too, still have it on VHS tape. i miss those days, this was such an amazing video

  • haha my dad just reminded me of this and how we used to watch it all the time! our dads rock!

  • @OhReillyMichelle Me too! Thats so weird i thought i was the only one who did that with my dad!

  • MEMORIES.

  • Wish I knew about these videos when I was younger! They're all really AWESOME!!!

  • tripped acid 2 this once way back n the day.it was intense.

  • @atl1180 I did the same, it was fantastic!

  • @atl1180 lol...I did too...lmfao!! Oh the 90's

  • I used the synth-voice for my Windows Startup .wav file when I bought my first PC in 96.

  • love it , and reminds me of tron 2.0

    ]

  • THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS! :')

*nostaligia tear running down my cheek*

(and yeah, I also asked my friends and others if they remembered this and no one did! XD)

  • when i saw the face i was like: kryten?

  • This was one of my most favorite parts of this video.

It's almost like your on a cosmic roller coaster (minus the tracks.)

  • 4:40... are there words for such imagery??

  • I never saw these before, but I have seen the Mind's Eye. LOVED it

  • wow dont know how i came across this but I LOVE IT. :P

  • Shit I remember getting stoned as shit and watching one of these with the volume down and an Enigma album playing.

  • This cool, but I could have sworn there was one called "The Gate" It had the latest CG of the 90's. It had some flying silver Knight at the beginning.

  • this is pretty much what its like on LSD

  • oh wow... I forgot about the virtual people copulating and stuff....

  • holy shit im suprised as fuck to see this on youtube i guess they do have everything i remeber when my dad got this he bought a VCR back in the 90's and this demo tape was left in it by accident man this is definately nostalgic for me i still have the vhs tape of it and for its time it was definately some pretty kickass graphics

  • Fuckin OOP DVD prices..............where are the BR releases?

  • The accumulated factors including the 90's quality, Hammer's music, initiative to even create and release such a gem, and pure art behind this production is overwhelming!

  • Korg Wavestation

  • The memories man! You rock.

  • @APortraitofUtopia I was talking about the strange colors and shit

  • I remember when I was 12 and my parents would watch this as they fed me L.S.D.

  • Back in the mid 90's, this was the BEST video to watch while tripping on mushrooms or LSD!!! Talk about a wild ride!

  • Same here, but back in my childhood I pretended this was a vigeo game.

  • Exactly the same here folks, my brother brought it home when I was a child. I almost forgot it until now but I suddenly realize it was an inspiration.

  • I used to get baked in college and watch this sometimes. Might have even shroomed once and checked it out too.

  • I Learned not to do drugs because this will happen

  • when i was young i was like oooooooooo and wooooooowww thats the future lol watched lawnmower man the other day both don't stand the test of time but they are my faves still

  • wow this was so amazing back in the days but it's so cheesy now! lmao!

  • does anyone else feel at peace when watching this?

  • people probably tripped balls to this

  • The fact that this was even released still shocks me. I can't imagine the mindless masses watching this, since there is very little talking and no bon jovi playing.

  • Ahh, so many childhood memories from this! It's good to see it on YouTube since I don't have the VHS anymore. :D

  • Wow I never thought this would be on youtube. I have this on VHS.

  • Lol. my dad bought this for me. We watched so many times. I still have the vhs.

  • When we're going to see this on Blu-ray.....Please I wanted in HD!

  • @IDOBLU2008

I talked to Steven (the producer) and he says it will never happen. He seems really depressed, like everyone has forgot about this series.

  • @ANOMTOfficial

Never will forget! Still have the VHS series but had to replace several times when loaned out and never returned. I can only imagine the impact of HD on a huge screen. And RIGHT NOW is a perfect time to re-introduce the message to the masses. Our understanding of the world is so much greater now and these visuals stand the test of time. No drugs needed to see that.

  • @SaratogaBrown

Yeah idk I think he is pretty lazy. He hasn't released an original video since 2000 and doesn't plan on ever doing so again. Someone needs to knock so sense into him and let him know the clock is ticking.

  • @ANOMTOfficial Sorry to hear he is suffering. I've learned the hard way that depressive friends don't respond well to knocking. lol A word caught my ear recently that might better describe what many suffer from under the fog of depression: listless. I'm giving that word a good thinking.

  • thank you YTV!

  • awsome video i'v been looking for this one very cool

  • I used to TRIP balls to this movie...Always made for an AWESOME LSD trip..

  • @teknojunkie1978

I really want to try this, but you've never had a really bad trip?

  • it seems like everybody watch this back them.. im from venezuela and also i saw this when i was a kid... hypnotic

  • wow. my family used to watch this all the time when i was a kid, and now that i smoke weed, i realize how crazy this shit really is.

  • have been trying to get the hole thing

  • ‎"You are now entering a world inside the essence of your imagination."

"Look within your dreams, they can take you Beyond the Minds Eye."

The only Words in the entire movie, but it is advice worth heeding.

  • I saw this tape when I was a young child. I miss watching it and now I want the DVD so bad

  • haha I get weirdly inspired from this stuff. Especially Jan Hammer's score

  • I remember seeing this when it first came out and thought how awesome it was and thought that it could not get any better then this., now computers can easily render all this in real time. even though, this will never get old and takes me back into the day when it was first released. still a great video and will always love watching it.

  • This got stuck in my brain forever

  • cool

  • This used to scare me to no end as a kid! It was cool!

  • I want to see the one w/ the pteradactyle who falls in love w/ the fish, then cracks the water so they can be together... anyone know which one that is?( It is from the Minds eye series)

  • I used to watch this on Laserdisc at a computer store owned by a family friend that my dad and I would go hang out at all day every Saturday while I was growing up. This was such an awesome video.

  • I learned about this videos in More Music (a TV music selling channel in the pre-Internet era), and got a VHS copy, I lost the count of how many times I watched it. Very nice music and the CGI was top notch back then.

  • @ChronologieIV Haha, wow. I miss MoreMusic. That was a great channel. Hard to find any information about it online.

  • @Supermassively I know what you mean, I miss the Paladia.( sp) channel on dish network.

  • "In place of commercials"...See, I could go for that. But NOOOO.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVED this when it first came out... I am disappointed that this particular video keeps freezing at :43 seconds! UGH

  • wow... I remember this from so long ago and it brings back so many amazing memories I always remembered this but forgot what it was called and know that I have found it, I can't stop watching it. I am definitely going to buy the original vhs tapes. Just amazing

  • ACID !!!

  • zordon?

  • Yes! I love this video!!

  • This brings back great childhood memories of when dad bought this. We watched it over and over. It was so amazing.

  • @cptkirkamus i still have this videotape today.

  • @cptkirkamus Yea I had the entire series (from what I can remember) on VHS and loved em when I was a kid too.

  • @cptkirkamus same with my dad. He introduced me to these and we LOVED em.

    :)

  • @cptkirkamus Same with me too!

  • @cptkirkamus I always watched this with my dad growing up as well. Amazing

  • @cptkirkamus That's precisely my story too!

  • @cptkirkamus me and my dad were the same way man

  • @cptkirkamus same here :)

  • @cptkirkamus Thats exactly what my Dad did. He had all these computer animated movies and we used to watch them all the time.

  • if u watch this when ur tripping on E...you will bug the fuck out and have the best trip ever!!!!!!!

  • I was shocked to hear this soundtrack in the movie "Sunset Heat".

  • I liked Part one, The Mind's Eye much better. "Beyond" borrows too many images that were used in movies and commercials. 2:03, and several times after this you can see these segments were taken from the movie "Lawnmower Man"

  • @MisterBIGM0UTH actually a ton of the clips in BTME were used elsewhere AFTER its release.

  • Sure, the graphics seem dated now, but try watching it when you're stoned.

  • I watched this every week! I'm so happy to have found it!

  • ahh... when i was a kid me and my bros would watch this everyday cuz we were so intrigued by it.

  • I bought this and the first video at Radio Shack when I was a kid and watched them more times than I can count. I think Jan Hammer is the reason I developed such a taste for techno. Thanks for posting this! Brings back memories.

  • Yeah, I used to pop this VHS in every Saturday for what seems like years. Good memories.

  • I watched this alot when I was younger. Too bad VCRs aren't made anymore, then I would've kept it.
