  • this music is fuckin gay lol

  • @somedanceforjoy Uhr your name is "somedanceforjoy" you get the irony of your statement don't you? Jesus I hope you do.............

  • @Joesoj "some laugh some weep some dance for joy" its from a shpongle song you fuckin momo, suck my haburka!!

  • @somedanceforjoy ??????????????????????

  • thanks for the tips i learned a lot.

  • Quality stuff there. do you need full eq kill switches to pull something like that off?

  • whahahahahaha nice hat! had to pause the video to laugh for minutes before moving on

  • Your tutorials are so useful, i cant wait to try them out, this is the about the 8th one ive watched this month

  • Ellaskins, you are the ultimate badass.

    Thanks for the education!

  • dude u look like a mushroom in that hat =p....but awesum tutorial!!!

  • every video i see a different piece of equipment.

i bet he has like 200 turntables

    hhehe

  • What Set Up Have You Got There

  • i love vertical eq sectioned mixers rather than knobs

  • Nice job for not having headphones sounded great!

  • Vergognatevi coglioni,avete rovinato l'house,pezzi di merda....Fanculo voi e l'elettronica!!!

  • i have a problem which is that i have an awful mixer, with only low and treble control...no mid, which just makes it so hard to mix basslines...because the bass goes far to high up.

does anyone know whether theres a mixer where you can assign a frequency band to a knob? that would be awesome

  • you can't do that unless you have a send and receive on the mixer and send it to an external eq from which you can program the bass

  • I just got dual cdj deck for a bit of fun. Do kits like this have sync? If so can you just hit it and the beat should line up?

  • nope... u gotta learn to beatmatch otherwise you should have gone digital using Traktor, Deckadance or Virtual DJ

  • I love how you have a different hat, for each different video. Super!

  • man you must have covered pretty much everything. Also, this is a serious question...how much equipment do u have? Like how many mixers turntables and CDJ's. Everytimes i watch a vid uve got completely differant shit

  • send me your turntables : )

    ok great

  • why? those are really shitty..

  • Not as shitty as mine, amirjon. What turntables would you sugest?

  • pioneer, either the cdj 800 mk2s or mk1s if u dont want to play mp3s, the cd400s are good, and the club standart cdj 1000mk3s which are very very expensive. see, the thing with pioneer is that if ud like to upgrade in the future, they will always have a resale value. but other decks like denons, numark, and so dont have that good of a resale value. as a strict code id stick with pioneer, like ud stick with technics for turntables! my two cents. cheers

  • Johnathan is the freaking shit practise and enjoy

  • wow thanks for that you really helped me start to mix

  • wicked hat!

  • u cand send me the name of the sample used in the song of Mr one vs Jungle brothers, " breath don't stop" PLEASE

  • i agree with jimmyyankee, anybody got the original of that?

  • o_O I never guess the treble, middle, & bass had such an impact on the bassline. Many thanks for making this tutorial! Now I'm going off to buy a new (better) mixer!

  • Yea, whoever would've guessed that the mids and bass would effect the bassline.

    Your brilliant :)

  • how about teaching us how to detect wether records are in the same key or not id be interested in that as i already know most of the basics

  • you have 2 or 4 tracks ,on a 12inch or cd, dont pick the club mix on a tune because its the popular one, go through every track then pick the one that sounds the best mix with the tune that youre playing... good luck..

  • kool...dude had me groovin in my seat.

  • can you try to mix somethig that's not very similar in their beats but with the same tempo...

  • I was enjoying that, why'd you stop?? haha

  • hahahaahahhah

  • That was fuckin awsome man....I dont mix but after watching that i wanna...

  • can anybody do me a mix? i got decks but i cant use them i only do mcin i got the tunes i just need them blending in can anyone sort me out if so reply please thanks

  • Ellaskins, what are the two tracks you are using in the beginning?

  • thanks for a nice video man :)

  • hi just saw some of your turtorials. Great work realy. Would be realy glad if you could tell me how i can adjust my traks that long with vinyls! Never get them match that long time. (hope it is not becaurse of my turn tables (reloop rp 4ooo) thank´s anyway :-)

  • I want 3-band EQs. lol.

  • whats decks are you using? i like the look of them!

    stu

  • to mrthestu90, they are vestax cdx-05( close to you) and cdx-07 a recordable unit.

  • sweet...i am thinking i like them enough to go out and buy some! i want to get into djing...as a hobby.

you do really good vids! :)

    catch stu

  • nice hat ;)

  • very nice tut. keep up your great work!

  • do you like makina?

  • very nice video thanks J ; P

  • you are craz

    y

  • Very good vid. First time you really showed how to use the other functions of the mixer. MORE!

Can I always make voices disappear by pushing Mid and High down?

  • it depends how much bass is in the vocals. i.e. it will work better with a female vocalist since she has a higher voice. A rapper with a low voice ot something may meen you can still pick up the vocals a little with only the bass on.

  • If u listen closely you can actually hear the vocal on the other cd in this vid as well, You will in most cases have a low vocal in the background with this method, at least in my cases.

    Nice movie ellaskins;) keepem coming

  • Ok thank you!

  • good video j keep up the good work.

  • love the song: Mr one vs Jungle brothers, " breath don't stop"

  • Nice tutorial, as always!

  • A good way to mix, although I don't use it (anymore). I may try it again, I could post a demo as a response to this one =) I think this is also the base for mixing with acapellas? Because there you use the vocals of a song with another (instrumental/dub) song.
