Luftwaffe pilots had no choice, even if the outcome is clear, they have to fly coz if not, Gestapo and SS had orders from Hitler to shoot anyone who refuse to fight..
@paullubliner 10 hours or not, wouldn't you think if they shoot anywhere near the stang, it'll try to go defensive rather than offensive? This guy might be an ace pilot but 1 pilot is no match for dozens of other pilots. Would you seriously attack a group of planes even dough you are an ace pilot?
@MrSaeteurn: Actually, one of the most important psychological aspects of the successful fighter pilot is an inordinately aggressive nature. @Raubritter1488 And? Polaks also did manage to get some victories despite their numerical disadvantage. And still they lost (just like Germany...). Every side has its heroes, great soldiers and leaders and you cant blame Yanks that they show theirs. Go and make something about Galland, Kretschmer, Nowotny, Wittman, Hartmann or whoever else you admire. And stop crying that US industry was far more superior to that of the Third reich, it is part of war as well.
@Raubritter1488 The German faggots bailed out as soon as they started taking hits from the P51's. They could dish it out on our guys at Schweinfurt, but when faced one one one with the Americans pilots, they couldn't take it.
American pilots???Don't make me laugh,kid.HARTMANN,WEISSENBERGER,BAR,IHLEFELD...these are true aces, and Candelaria???No one gives a fuck about him!!!
@Raubritter1488: Clearly my freund, this fellow, demonstrated a manoeuver here that only a true and completely natural pilot would be capable of doing. This ability has to do with the conceptualization of three dimensional space and to have this skill level is most rare. The events recounted here occurred in April 1945, imagine how skilled he'd have been after 9 years of combat as many of your fellows entered combat starting in 1937. Captain Candelaria is quite the pilot, do not denegrade him!
Like the DF bullshit about American ''superheroes'',they should have been fighting like the Luftwaffe ones, from 1939 to 1945.Candelaria would shot himself or be an alcoholic after the 2nd year!!!
@@Raubritter1488: Are you completely NUTS? YOUR nation's following of Hitler and that nut job's starting the entire and completely insane World Wide War is why your sheep (followers without thought or reason) and NOT wolf Luftwaffe pilots had all those many, many years of absolute FUTILITY! (AND deaths!) At least that's how Adolf Galland told me he felt about the entire matter and he knew much better than do you!
@Raubritter1488: Ideology is the very reason this aeriel warfare occurred or don't you want to acknowledge that fact for other delusional beliefs you hold so near and dear!?
@Raubritter1488: The U.S. was in Vietnam in the attempted to halt the spread of COMMUNISM which thanks to the Socialist left of Europe (and within the US itself) FAILED. This failure through the Kissinger based peace negotiations, has directly lead to the Chinese DOMINATING ALL MANUFACTURING and accumulating the greatest concentration of wealth, which eventually will lead to the complete disappearance of "Western Civilization" and all it's freedoms that I and many others hold so DEAR!!

@paullubliner Are you saying that because the Chinese communist government directly controls manufacturing in China that they're making a more coordinated economic push than a free market country is capable of? If you are, this is an interesting point.
@paullubliner That's an unfortunate side effect of focused strategy. A few in charge focus the energy of the entire population efficiently at the expense of the liberties of the entire population. This is reminscent of Stalin's regime in the 1940's.
@Raubritter1488 Franco was too much of a pussy to enter the war like Hitler wanted after Hitler helped him win so where did Spain kick anyone's ass in WWII? They were too busy re-building after the Spanish civil war.....
@Raubritter1488 This was an all volunteer division and in military circles would be considered window dressing, you know, a token cooperative appeasement.
@Raubritter1488 Stop being a retard already by shifting the argument because you're losing.... The Eagle Squadron were American volunteers who fought in the RAF during the Battle of Britain before the U.S. entered the war. Spain NEVER ENTERED the war!! It's over....
@Raubritter1488 Yup... exactly what idiots of lesser intelligence respond with when they can see no way out of an argument they started. You are inferior to me. Compared to you I am the master race. lol
Rich really shows some flying skill there, but I think he would have been an easy prey for the german during his ufo manouver? History should make one episode on Hans Joachim Marseille and his flying skills! He actually did something worth a documentary!
ya know I don't care if it was German, American, Britt, Russian or Japanese, kill... the fact still remains that if indeed this is the truth.. no matter what side it was, that was one hell of some fast thinking and is worth seeing and talking about.
I've seen that maneuver only a handful of times on the P51, apparently you throw the stick into you gut and stomp on the rudder, then throw it forward real quick, sometimes results in a stall though only experienced pilots would attempt it....even he admits he got lucky with a "blind shot". Nice video thanks for the upload.
@seamcon15 they had/ where some of the best pilots in the world they just had a fucked up leader ship and that was there down fall trust me all the nazi would had to do is attack British plane factory and the battle for Britain would have been a total different story but Hitler is a dumb ass and wants collateral damage instead of a victory...
@saitex29 actually its a lot more than that war and strategy isn't that simple trust me im in an Airforce ROTC soon to be a fighter pilot, one of Hitlers main problems were that he had shitty bombers, he let his anger and arrogance choose targets instead of logical thinking, i mean the list could go on forever but then i would be rambling.
@saitex29 Where do you get this crap? You're completely wrong! Do you think a "fucked up leader ship" and "dumb ass" could capture half of Europe, North Africa, parts of the middle east? Do you think they didn't bomb England nightly for nine months solid, ('The Blitz'... look it up) Do you think we only had ONE plane factory with a big neon sign above so Hitler could target it? Grow up, read some proper history books and show some respect for the millions that fought and died in WWII.
@gromit37oh dear here we go we got some one that thinks they know every thing do you realize what Hitler could of done to Britain? he could of taken out the entire RAF but guess what he did he bombed London and other city's given the Brits the time to mobile and view that damage and get a counter attack going Hitler was nothing more than a drug addict he advisers new what as going on more that he did but Hitler wanted all of the uks people to die and respect you don't know the meaning.
@saitex29 things started going south when he decided to micromanage his forces... good for us I must say. But practically speaking once he failed to complete his campaign against the Russians the war was a foregone conclusion.
@hide86 Italy is awesome, so lucky you for being Italian. My rude reply to was to HasteaMartis who was being a real asshole, & I was just stealing his words a bit. ciao.
BFW (Bavarian Aircraft Works) was reconstituted as Messerschmitt AG on July 11, 1938.The renaming of BFW resulted in the company's RLM designation changing from Bf to Me for all newer designs after the acquisition date. Existing types, such as the Bf 109 and 110, retained their earlier designation in official documents, although sometimes the newer designations were used as well, most often by subcontractors. So it was known as both.
in order for the americans to make money out of even history documenteries they can create heroes that are still alive!!after 10 years they will still be alive like the dracula for the new documentery,at that time they will say that tom cruz was the best pilot in ww2,and yes, did you realize how well all of these "heros"could hit the brakes instead of the nazis that stoped by puting their feet down?
1)Candelaria scored a kill. does not matter the CGI, Candelaria pulled some stunt and was lucky with a snapshot. 2) the P51D was a better dogfighter than the majority of german planes it fought. Mostly because those german planes in 1944 were rigged to down bombers, not fighters, so the last generations of 109 had degraded turn rates and handling characteristics compared with earlier E and F version models even the german pilots admit it the later me109 were way harder to fly.
no, some reffered to it as the me 109, particlularly pilots during the battle of britian. it was made by messersmitt, and in german fighter nomenclature it could also be called the me 109 because it's supposed to be the first two letters of the manufacturer's name. nothing to do with performence ;)
@mongorians22 Its BF because its not the manufacturers name its designers name, and BF109 was designed while messerschmitt wasnt called messerschmitt but Bayerishe Flugzeugwerke hence BF, GERMAN pilots never reffered to it as ME, 109 is called ME only by people who dont know, mostly amercians, beacuse thay think what you think- manufacturer...
BF was the initials of Bayerische Flugzeugwerke, German aircraft manufacturing corporation presided by Willy Messerschmitt. Due his status, both inside and outside germany, the 109 was often named Messerschmitt 109 or ME 109, the same way that the Kabinenroller KR175 / KR200 were known as ME Kr 175-KR 200 in the 50's. As for the performance even you can access the official charts regarding speed, climb rate, turn ability and NES.Or you can just take the word of Erich Hartmann.
Hartmann words (1978 interview) "[the 109] was superb [...] but the american mustang was a newer and better aircraft"; (1981 interview) "the later versions [G and K] had traded much handling and turn radius for speed , altitute performance and heavier armament, and become hard to fly and less manoverable", 1993 (last interview) "of all [aircraft in the late stage of the war] the American Mustangs was what we dreaded meeting. We knew that they were better aircraft than ours".
. and just then it passed the BF109, whose pilot, (German AS), could not notice the maneuver of the P-51 because he finished opening a beer that took of his box, and because of a unpressurized cabin the beer did soil all the glasses of the 109. and thus it was that the combat took the Mustang to it. BY HELP OF ALL THE GODS OF THE UNIVERSE! Is the only way that I think...
History writes those that win and to his way, but in this case they invent more credible other I do not know, can be that.. the P-51 put in wind "zonda" and a severe burst was appropriated the airplane, which caused that it turns abruptly and then the head of the pilot hit against the trigger of machine guns ...
Well to bad for you then. Many fighter aircraft of WWII, especially the Mustang could do this manuver. It's simple really. Aerobatic props do this even easier these days.
no es un BF109 F4,FIJATE EN la carliga del bf109!!..el cockpit es del tipo mas nuevo" ERLA HAUBE CANOPLY"Y EL TIMON ES DE EL TIPO FINAL EN MADERA,,..PERO EL MORRO DEL BF109 ESTA MAL HECHO!!!!!UN SALUDO
The Mustang was the best all round fighter of WW2. It was the best b'coz it had a 2 stage 2 speed Packard (RR Merlin 61) with100/130/150 octane fuel, while the DB605 that powered the Bf 109G/K could not realise its full potential as the Germans had only 87 & 96 octane fuel..That made the difference. Also by 1944, Allied pilots were better trained and they also wore G-suits,while the majority of experienced German fighter pilots were fighting on the Eastern Front trying to stem the Russian tide.

Yeah, this pilot is so full of shit! Bullshit!
It is hot enough that he does this fancy turn, on top of that, he hits the german's plane during that... OMG, this old fart really think that he is only smartass left, and all of us are just plain stupid... Sad - other pilots on this show were much more honest with their stories
That was portrayed like a scene out Battlestar Galactica 2,LOL.
I think you will find the Allies were notching accurately and the gemans were allowed to "expand" theirs for propanganda .A unit in russia killed more than the Ruskys had on the ground. On that note any Airfield sorties are added too.Battle of Britain statistics for British planes destroyed were out by 40% (after the war assesments).
Sigh, the more I read.... The yellow nose as depicted here was used throughout the war by individutal German pilots all the way to the end. But it was no longer a squadron marking, as with JG26.
And for all you clowns giving "Dogfights" hell for only showing American Aces, name for me a German series that shows promotes American Aces. There isn't one. Why would we do differently? Except that we did. "Wings of War" often showed successful enemy aces. Which German or show does that?
Why did they cancel this show???!!

Raubritter1488 9 months ago
@Raubritter1488: Clearly my freund, this fellow, demonstrated a manoeuver here that only a true and completely natural pilot would be capable of doing. This ability has to do with the conceptualization of three dimensional space and to have this skill level is most rare. The events recounted here occurred in April 1945, imagine how skilled he'd have been after 9 years of combat as many of your fellows entered combat starting in 1937. Captain Candelaria is quite the pilot, do not denegrade him!

I've seen that maneuver only a handful of times on the P51, apparently you throw the stick into you gut and stomp on the rudder, then throw it forward real quick, sometimes results in a stall though only experienced pilots would attempt it....even he admits he got lucky with a "blind shot". @seamcon15 they had/ where some of the best pilots in the world they just had a fucked up leader ship and that was there down fall trust me all the nazi would had to do is attack British plane factory and the battle for Britain would have been a total different story but Hitler is a dumb ass and wants collateral damage instead of a victory...
saitex29 1 year ago
@saitex29 actually its a lot more than that war and strategy isn't that simple trust me im in an Airforce ROTC soon to be a fighter pilot, one of Hitlers main problems were that he had shitty bombers, he let his anger and arrogance choose targets instead of logical thinking, i mean the list could go on forever but then i would be rambling.
Evilstewie831 1 year ago
@saitex29 Where do you get this crap? You're completely wrong! Do you think a "fucked up leader ship" and "dumb ass" could capture half of Europe, North Africa, parts of the middle east? Do you think they didn't bomb England nightly for nine months solid, ('The Blitz'... look it up) Do you think we only had ONE plane factory with a big neon sign above so Hitler could target it? Grow up, read some proper history books and show some respect for the millions that fought and died in WWII.
gromit37 1 year ago
@gromit37oh dear here we go we got some one that thinks they know every thing do you realize what Hitler could of done to Britain? he could of taken out the entire RAF but guess what he did he bombed London and other city's given the Brits the time to mobile and view that damage and get a counter attack going Hitler was nothing more than a drug addict he advisers new what as going on more that he did but Hitler wanted all of the uks people to die and respect you don't know the meaning.

DarthKevlar1 2 years ago
its Bf 109 not Me109... you dont even know the name of the German aircraft so how can you possibly judge the performance ;)
jetmano 2 years ago
no, some reffered to it as the me 109, particlularly pilots during the battle of britian. it was made by messersmitt, and in german fighter nomenclature it could also be called the me 109 because it's supposed to be the first two letters of the manufacturer's name. nothing to do with performence ;)
mongorians22 2 years ago
@mongorians22 Its BF because its not the manufacturers name its designers name, and BF109 was designed while messerschmitt wasnt called messerschmitt but Bayerishe Flugzeugwerke hence BF, GERMAN pilots never reffered to it as ME, 109 is called ME only by people who dont know, mostly amercians, beacuse thay think what you think- manufacturer...
jetmano 1 year ago
BF was the initials of Bayerische Flugzeugwerke, German aircraft manufacturing corporation presided by Willy Messerschmitt. Due his status, both inside and outside germany, the 109 was often named Messerschmitt 109 or ME 109, the same way that the Kabinenroller KR175 / KR200 were known as ME Kr 175-KR 200 in the 50's. As for the performance even you can access the official charts regarding speed, climb rate, turn ability and NES.Or you can just take the word of Erich Hartmann.
DarthKevlar1 1 year ago

Is the only way that I think...
n819sk 2 years ago
History writes those that win and to his way, but in this case they invent more credible other I do not know, can be that.. the P-51 put in wind "zonda" and a severe burst was appropriated the airplane, which caused that it turns abruptly and then the head of the pilot hit against the trigger of machine guns ...
n819sk 2 years ago
@n819sk
Umm....What was that?
TheOriginalEAGLE 2 years ago
I say that combat is lie. That maneuver it can make a biplane or a multiplane, not even a ki-27.
