@stevevandien Here Jimi's sidemen are Mitchell and Redding... There's also a video if you search on YouTube of Mitchell, Redding and Hendrix playing this... When Jimi was with Miles and Cox his music and his way of conceive and play the Music was different. :)

Jimi played with a conventional set up but left handed as far as I know (low E uppermost). If you want to see some killer players who DO turn over a "righty" strung guitar - give a listen to Eric Gayles and Coco Montoya.

Some Left Handed Guitarists do Play Right Handed Guitars Upside Down,But Hendrix was not one of them.Kurt Kobain is another Left Handed Guitarist who plays Guitars Strung E,A,D,G,B,E same as Hendrix.Conventional Guitar Set Up,playing Right Handed Guitars Upside Down would Restrict them..

@sdrayton0307 Im Talking about when Hendrix was In the Studio,Playing a Gig for the Paying Public etc.He Played a Guitar Left Handed and Strung in the Conventional Manner,thickest String at the Top etc.He couldnt play that good Right Handed Period!!! You Obviously are not a Guitarist,i do Play Guitar Hence i Know what im Talking About...He was known to pick up a Right Handed Bass and Jam or there is the Video of him with the Rolling Stones Backstage playing Mick Taylors Right Handed Guitar

Hendrix did not do this,if you Open your Eyes and look at his Guitars in Video and Pictures.You will see it is Strung Correctly for a Left Hander,E,A,D,G,B,E.Thickest String E at the Top Light E String at the Bottom.I Wish People would stop Talking Bollocks about how he Played Right Handed Guitars upside Down Backwards etc.He Played the Guitar Left Handed but Strung in the Conventional Manner.

@mocheck Most of the time hendrix did string his guitar in a conventional manner, but when he was poor he oftentimes, when he didn't have a guitar, would borrow a righty guitar and play it lefty. He could play that way but almost never did
