@sephirothgurl There's a lot more fur on a cat than hair on your arm, it would reduce the strain on individual follicles. And fur isn't the same as hair, it's more oily so the tape wouldn't stick that hard to the cat.

Animal cruelty is legally defined as "the crime of inflicting physical pain, suffering or death on an animal, usually a tame one, beyond necessity for normal discipline..."

The cat doesn't appear to be enjoying it which COULD mean that it is suffering, which would mean that this is in fact a case of animal cruelty. Not to mention they'd have to remove the tape which might in fact cause pain to the cat, again, making it animal cruelty.
