Uum, I'm Australian and I don't recall people acting so rude. You must have clashed in with the 'bad' ones. Qantas is an awesome airline and Australia is worth visitng. But that's just my opinion :D.
why are you arguing over a Qantas ad? Australia is the greatest country I've ever seen, if you don't like it don't stay there or move somewhere else. Its not a racist thing, just live where your happy, and its a cool ad for the record too!

It aint a tourist ad. It's meant to tug at the patriotic heart strings of us Aussies to fly with them. Even though Qantas now almost exclusively hires cheaper overseas labour and is getting more servicing of its planes in third world countries. Glad I got that off my chest.

1. It was fake , artifical, Australia has not got any rights you can get in trouble for holding a toothpick over 6"inch
2. EVERY time i try to act friendly to a person in mainland Australia i get a gruff sounding "yeah, what'd you want"
