I will repeat a famous question for him.... For Us.... For all Black and Brown People.... For all poor people.....For all of his admires .....
"Mohandas Gandhi (1869-1948) has become the strongest symbol of non-violence in the 20th century. It is widely held in retrospect that the Indian national leader should have been the very man to be selected for the Nobel Peace Prize. He was nominated several times, but was never awarded the prize. Why?"
I hope your being sarcastic. It's not the MTV movie awards, its not about popularity, its about the film form being outstanding. ET's film form is NOTHING in comparison to Gandhi's. Gandhi's Story/Screenplay/Message + Direction + Photography + Editing etc. = outstanding.
The "Gandhi" DVD casing states that "after 20 years in the making, this...epic garnered nine 1982 Academy Awards..." We may assume that it was completed either in 1981 or 1982. The film is re-released in 2005 thru DVD by Sony Pictures. It took me a hard time looking FOR IT in the Philippines (my country)..

Ghndi stole the Best Picture from ET. Nobody had seen Ghandi many had seen ET. The academy confused the Oscars with the Nobel Peace Prize.
