@MrFutureseer Well she used to have great singing skills when she was young. After she hit puberty, she needed to apply some technique because she completely lost her range and control. For example, little boys can sing in the soprano range comfortably when they're young because their voices are like girls, but once they hit puberty, there's no way they'll sing the same even if they're counter tenor. I just see Britney as catchy music and that's it. She has no staying power/won't be remembered.

Many of her fourth album, 3 on Blackout and 3 on Circus, and overall her writing isn't good. She didn't compose the beat for Everytime what are you on. And wait, Adele IS a pop artist. Celine Dion and Whitney are considered POP acts. If dancing, sexyness are factors to being a pop artist then I guess Kim who can't sing might as well be one lol.

@tinaford101x What happened to her voice? EVERY Divas voice deteriorates as they age along with having children. Childbirth affects a womans entire body including their vocal chords-deepening the tone of their voice. Christinas drinking also has an issue but not nearly as bad as Brits drug abuse. Brit cant even belt anymore lol.

It takes alot of energy, effort, and skill to perform them the way christina does with the same proficency she does. If you dont like it than thats fine. @tinaford101x also singing as a profession PERIOD causes vocal deterioration. So does age and having children. All of which are affecting Christina and has now hit Mariah carey. I would not be surprised if Mariah loses her Whistle voice due to her having children.

Which is the highest Grossing audience that you can appeal to. So yet again you are comparing teen pop stars to adult pop stars which go into two different categories when discussing success.

@tinaford101x and also I dont see this reason your talking about. Madonna sings live and her stage performances are far wilder and energy exhausting than Britneys. Whitney Houston sang live while dancing as well. So did Mariah on occasion. Michael jackson also. Same with Janet. Brit has no excuse.

@tinaford101x I don't mean to get in your conversation with someone else, but just to let you know, success in the music industry, especially today, means nothing, especially when your sales comes from your looks and catchyness of music which isn't a skill. Lip synching shows how terrible an artist is. Yeah Christina forces her HIGHER belts, but in her middle chest, and low notes, they're amazing. Britney lost her singing skills the minute she hit puberty and ever since she's been terrible.

Brit: has a decent voice which can stretch up to about whereas Christinas is naturall 4 octaves and can stretch into the fifth. Britneys Melismas are very slow and sluggish and she tends to be shaky when not computerized. Christina can maintain consistency with her singing although she tends to go off key.
