The biggest problem I have with the LDS is the tithin.. How much do they make each year and what are they doing with it? Building Temples? that's an investment of the funds which appreciates each year.. If they are making billions, what good are they doing with it. This is the biggest evidence that it's a cult to me, forget the white undies, so what.. Why do they need 10% of my income, that tells me that it's a cult like Scientology.
I agree with him that someone can be in the Mormon religion and saved. But I also believe that if they are really born again, God will take care of them. If us, Christians really trust God, then I think we can't bully them out of it, we need to just trust God will continue to do a good work in them. I was never really religious before I got saved, but I do know I was into things that God took me out of, how is Mormonism any different?
@9v0a0i I know =-) What I am trying to say is someone can come to know the true gospel but still be stuck in some religious cult, for a time. I think God who starts a good work will see it through and they will come out. No I think Mormonism is far, far away from being anything like the God of the Bible =-)
about 3/4 of the way through this video, Shawn does a great job of explaining the born again experience and the holy spirit,, He describes exactly what the Mormons beleive, I don't understand why he says he is not LDS,, He obviously believes very much
Ask Shawn if he believes Joseph Smith was a chosen Prophet of God or any of the so-called "prophets" on up to Monson. He does not. Ask if he believes LDS temple rituals and garment wearing will contribute to anyone's salvation. He does not.
Knowing what Mormons believe in no way = he agrees.
If he were truly LDS (as you assert) he'd have no problem in a Bishop's interview to qualify for a Temple Recommend. He could NEVER do it.
"Hahahahaha....LOL....ROFL...Ha¬hahahaha, you are a joke! Go now and take a shower, lose some weight, and learn to speak better! This is the only way you can become a sister wife"
eag11e
This is how an antimormon speaks and he says J.S was a con man and he is in Christ.
@Shutterbug1000 What an offensive thing to say! I'm a convert to the LDS church and take offense! How rude! Also, I know that there are many things written and said about Mormons that are taken out of context, distorted, and just plain false. I read this stuff over 30 years ago when I was first investigating the church. I took the time to learn the truth. I wish others would as well. The LDS church will bring you closer to Jesus Christ and the Bible than any other church.
This Mormon answer man is amazing what he says he said he obey all the rules and stayed faithful to his wife you are big liar.if you did you wouldn't need jesus be a man and be honest nobody likes liars
I don't see why everyone posting on here is so upset with the Mormons. I have the same feeling for God that Shawn does. I know he loves me. I"m happy, I have every spiritual feeling that Shawn does, yet I'm Mormon, and this annoys everyone for some reason. Shawn has a relationship with God, so do lots of people in all religions. I just don't get the hate that people have for the church. Live and let live.
The problem lies in the LDS claims to being "the one and ONLY TRUE Church of God on earth, led by a God-chosen prophet who counsels with God daily in the operation of LDS Inc." THAT is in direct conflict with Shawn's beliefs.
What you say is nice in theory. In reality, nothing could be further from the truth.
I am an agnostic with atheist leanings and I am also an ex-mormon. I think Shawn McCraney is awesome. However, when he makes the statement that you should love your spouse no matter what their religion or belief is, but he then says that an atheist has no motive for loving his spouse, it makes me wonder how someone who can evolve out of Mormonism can't understand how an agnostic could evolve out of the silly belief in incantations and religious dogma.
@ToolFan68 it may be that with people, feelings can fade over time. If there isn't a spiritual context to maintain those feelings, then when they aren't what they used to be it is easy (especially in America) to just "move on"... aka, get divorced. Pretty common these days.
So let me see... Shawn's story is that he hated being a hypocrite and decided to call it quits. THAT does NOT make the Church untrue.
I did NOT do sex before mission. I loved my mission too, obeyed all the rules, but I wanted to go when I was 16 and did have a testimony that I got for myself through prayer to God in the wilderness places, and it is all true. I married in temple too, love my wife and have been COMPLETELY faithful 2 her. Shawn, it IS possible to NOT be a hypocrite in this faith
Richard Bushman locates Joseph in his historical and cultural context, fleshing out the many nuances of nineteenth-century American life. this book...does not avoid the problematic aspects of Smith's life and work, such as his practice of polygamy, his early attempts at treasure-seeking, and his later political aspirations. In the end, Smith emerges as a genuine American phenomenon, a man driven by inspiration but not unaffected by his cultural context.
He didn't SAY his hypocracy and calling it quits, proved LDS false. Quit trying to put words in his mouth and PAY ATTENTION!--for a change.
Rather than focus on Shawn's hypocracy, spend at least a couple of seconds each day contemplating your arrogance. THAT is your signature everywhere you turn up.
We all know you (LDS) are in desperation mode, since the official GA announcement the other day that Mormonism is hemorrhaging members at an astonishing rate.
This guy is fraduluent. He has some serious issues that needs to be resolved. His doctrine and teachings are his own and NOT from the bible.
Also does he get his crying tips from John Boehner ?? Is McCraney around anymore?? This guy will be gone and forgotten in couple of years and those mormons will still be growing.
@loki1830 You only say he's fraudulent because you disagree with him! He's awesome! He's intelligent! He's inspiring to me. Not to put him on a pedestal- he's just a regular guy trying to make a ministry in a culture he grew out of. His teachings are very much from the Bible... man, which Bible are YOU reading from?!?!?
@loki1830 we all know Joseph smith will be remembered as the savior of the Church... From what I'v seen, Shawn's been around and blessed well for a long time. Are you pointing your finger at this man, almost like the sadducees did in Jesus' day? Cant attack a man after God's heart can you, is that not biblicle? maybe your bishop, doing wonderful things for his fellow man, is better than that? would you rather be seeking God's heart or your own... thats the way my bible reads.
@seechig You can say that about shawn. Why does he hate so much and seek to know mans heart? He claims to know the bible yet judges man on a daily basis. that is not the bible but the koran
As a christian I don't whole heartedly agree with Shawn on some of his analysis, but no doubt Shawn is a brother in Christ! I am so thankful for his ministry and faithful witness to those still in the LDS church. The good folks of the LDS faith are stuck in a realm of legalism and Shawn has such grace it witnessing to them.
@Ignensis on the topic of MORmONISM you want to go off on how Shawn McCraney looks ? when the MORmONS had Cabbage head Hinckley at their helm? Thats just CRAZY!
@Ignensis you must be INSANELY jealous of Shawns good looks. The MORmONS spout endless blashpemy& indulge in all kinds of crime & here you are fretting about Shawns expressions captured on pause. You would probably also like to complain that the patterns on the table ware for the Titanic were not as nifty as you would have liked. YOU look like a real MORmON yourself !
@ulisscarple Once again, I was not addressing Mormonism or anything about it, so I'm not really sure what you're even talking about.
I don't recall "fretting" about anything. I just thought his expression when the video was paused was amusing. That's it. You're making a big deal out of a complete non-issue.
typical mormon answer you attack the guy questioning your faith but you never actually prove what he is saying to be false. I see this over and over again with mormons. I don't blame you though i actually left the church because i couldnt prove him and others like him wrong either. wake up people do some research and find out for yourselves.
Don't let this guy fool you. He's not as nice as he seems. There was a girl that sent him a letter than had him for a seminary teacher one year. She stated he was crazy, she was glad she dropped his class, and he was actually a bad example of a Mormon. He has spoken false claims about the church Jesus Christ put on the earth. I do know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the ONLY true church on the earth.
Shawn if your out there I just want to tell you that not all christians think its about a church. I know and believe the same way you do. I am born again and I know that its not about a church its about following Jesus. I for one feel bad that you had some chirstians giving you a hard time about your book. God bless you Shawn!
@tastefulphrasing You want a list? When he started the show a few years ago, he said he would never ask for money. Now he does that every week and he even sells junk. He pretends to love LDS, but any time someone calls in support of the LDS church he mocks them and yells at them. His emails are vile, devoid of any love whatsoever.
@FUwogs It shows McCranny justifying himself, and he screwed up in the church, so its against Mormons. Rather than reprent and humble up, he left bitter and "Suddenly found the truth of being a Christian."
@ghostyman666 ok. why even post that comment or watch this video in the first place. You know you won't reach these people by saying that kinda stuff. Why not recommend to them to watch Christopher Hitchens? or Sam Harris?
I wish you mormons polygamy of what you want so bad so people can see your roots of who you truly are you active members you wicked sons and daughters of the most high God yo uare children who judge but God is the judge.
@InTheseBooks Relax man, not all mormons are that way , so dont generalize. Some of us still have active family members. So please dont speak such false things.
I am also a x mormon and very happy about my decission. I see the demon in your religion constantly trying to get me to go back he even has hurt my family to get to me and now is making me feel like i am suffering but i am only suffering though my own mistakes i am done with the mormon church i am not going to go back face it and stop preying to your mormon gods about me or i start praying for you to be more exposed then you already are.
you active claim you dont judge but you judge all the time and like to play God here on earth when your whole religion teaches you get God hood when your deceased not when your alive so stop judging people. Unless you your selfes want to be judged back.
Shawn is being led by the Word of God, "which is Christ". He is closer to the infinite God than any of the lds prophets and apostles could ever hope to be.
@Sephuskal and what do you wear sephuskal? Everyone is entitled to there opinion are they not Sephuskal he does what makes him feel right cant you accept that and stop being a biggot?
@InTheseBooks I wear anti christ biggots like you & Mick Cranny out. He does what makes him feel right???? By doing wrong?? He thinks he can bake us a tasty german chocolate cake by stirring shit in dirt filled bowl and throwing it in an oven of resentment and hatred.
Perhaps you like his style of cooking, but I'll pass on the Hep C and aids he spread through spoon feeding his cake to idiots that buy into him.
@Sephuskal Yep. The Bible teaches Jesus Christ's church is to have apostles & prophets. Last I checked, there's only one church on earth that fits. Shawn doesn't know the Bible as well as he thinks. In fact, he's far off.
@majinish Pride my friend. Pride who are learned pride who are rich, and I might add also; Pride of those who can't go back to the Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay saints when they have fallen.
Shucks, I want to know too. You brought up the question, so I figured you had the answer. Where did you here or read that his wife lives with her parents? I caught his last show and his wife called and spoke with him.....didn't seem like anything was wrong.
>> Seriously, I want to know why Mary McCraney lives with her parents,
>> and not with her husband, Shawn
You're asking the wrong question. Seriously, I WANT TO KNOW WHY JOSEPH SMITH HAD 37 DOCUMENTED WIVES! And all in the name of god. Personally,I don't give a crap where Shawn's wife chooses lives, that means nothing toward my eternal salvation, but following/supporting a blasphemous polygamist child molester as a prophet most certaintly will.
@BigTallOx : Can you provide a living witness to your allegations? No, you can't, because if such people ever existed, they are long dead, so they cannot be cross-examined. How convenient for you.
LDS claim erroneously to be the one true church, therefore, according to their 1 Nephi 14:10 & D&C 1:30, everyone else is of the church of the devil. That is prideful exclusivity & abysmal deception. I love Mormons: I abhor Mormonism. Christians have a solemn responsibility to continue contending fervently for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints according to Jude 3.
@Shulamitefire Ur flat wrong. LDS uniquely teach ALL of God's children born on this earth will be given ample opportunity to see the truth(LDS church) & then choose to accept it. if a well intentioned person clouded by traditions doesnt accept LDS truth, that person will learn in the spirit world, hence baptisms for the dead. U Christians are just as likely to go to 'heaven' as I, a mormon, if you're heart is right and your intentions pure. its U that say LDS and EVERYONE ELSE is hell bound
@glycoboy What are you going on about, except throwing up a straw man argument? 1 Nephi 14:10? D&C 1:30? Do you think that perhaps as long as you are Mormon it would be consistent with that position to support said scriptures?
Respectfully, that you have been massively mormonized is a matter that you need heavy help with.
If LDS do not get right Who The One True God is how can they be the one true church?

"There are some good people who have all the right serotonin levels, and they've made the right choices and they have the right education, and they've got it all together, and I know those families, and my hat is off to them. I'm never going to affect them with my program...."
Heehee. Wow! More claims without proof! Einstein was Jewish, and he strongly believed in a God, I've read several biographies and auto-biographies.
I'm choosing to follow some of the teachings of these religious books, and still, I barely think it's right to say you're more of a free think just because you choose not to believe in something. Who are you to judge?
And once again, I would research before you post. Einstein very much believed in God and his faith, and look what he did!
And what I can say as a Mormon is that story is bull and made up. You know why? When I was a kid I had a Protestant friend, several Christian friends, and an atheist friend. My parents knew they were not Mormon and they weren't rejected. That plus I went to a Barmitzvah for a friend of mine. Need proof? Actually go to a Mormon kids house.
And finally you're making more claims without proof!
Yeah right. How do we know life itself is real? We do not completely base our lives on facts, and atheism is not rational thinking just because you think so. I do not wish to argue, but in any case niether atheism nor religion is entirely provable. To me, you people treat atheism exactly as a faith.
Ha, It is not a Faith if you don't believe in anything, LOL you blocked me, I win you pussy ass coward, And that was my other account that a left on your channel.
I really don't give a crap. First of all you're pulling out names and no facts in order to win an already finished fight, so in other words, you now have no stance or evidence.
Born agains are nice. I haven't had the best experience with them, but they are kind people. It's hard to make decisions like that, but Im glad he concluded to something.
Nothing is smart about butting Limitations on yourself. It's Blind Faith. It is all bullshit that has been brain washed in your mind, All religions need to be secret Societies.
What is true for "him?" There is no such thing. The truth comes from God, not a man. If Dehlin's leaders knew what he is doing he would be spoken to. It won't be long before he loses his membership. He is helping the anti-Mormons. He also does not answer his emails. And McCraney is a liar and not a Christian.
@LDStothecore What i meant to say was true to him. If he doesn't believe the church is true, he doesn't believe its true. I admire him for finding what is true to him, and what he beleives to be true. I truly admire that.
@Yousnoob I am referring to John Dehlin. He claims to be active, worthy LDS, yet on his website he talks about what is true to him. Man is not allowed to decide what is true to him. What is true is decided by God. The LDS doctrine is God's Doctrine. Also, his advice to those struggling with their testimony is extremely flawed. I am a Christian. I don't cut others down because their belief is different than mine, but McCraney calls us non-Christian simply because we believe differently.

@LDStothecore - Why are you are slamming on John if you believe that you should not cut down others? BTW - Nobody takes them comments serious on YouTube, post what you feel on the MormonStories web site and you might get a better conversation going.
@LivingOnVideo13 What concerns me about John is that he is not telling the truth about the Gospel and he seems to believe we only need to keep commandments that suit us. And I have posted on his website, but he does not respond.
@LDStothecore You believe that the Lord is infinite and almighty? What happened to the lds doctrine that said Jesus is a created spirit? Do you still believe that works, laws and ordinances are necessary? Do you believe that Gods word will stand forever as the Biblilcal verse states? Mt24:35 MK 13:31 Lk 21:33 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away" Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.
@awolLDSasap Yes, I know God is Almighty. Jesus is the spirit Son of God the Father, as are we all. As far as works, the Bible teaches that we must do things. The book of Revelation teaches that we will be judged by our works and there are many NT passages that talk about working. I also know that His words will stand. No argument with that.
@LDStothecore@LDStothecore Humans are NOT pre mortal spirit children of God. 1Cr 15:46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. Jhn 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
@ldstothecore. Hbr 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ,.. purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, [it is] evident: for, The just shall live by faith. Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Works of the spirit are justified. Works for an organization will burn.
@LDStothecore When you die, you no longer sin. The Bible tells us "we die" and then the judgement. The only grand gathering will be at that end time. There will be praise and crowns and every knee will bow to the infinite Lord "Jesus Christ". The Savior was never created. He is eternally loved by the Father and those who know and love the Son become the sons and daughters of God.
@YAAUFA Shawn's problem, besides the lies, is that he left the church, but he cannot leave it alone. I have known people to leave the LDS Church, because they stopped believing, yet they still respect us and don't say anything bad about us. All McCraney does is rant and lie.
@YAAUFA Shawn's problem, besides the lies, is that he left the church, but he cannot leave it alone. I have known people to leave the LDS Church, because they stopped believing, yet they still respect us and don't say anything bad about us. All McCraney does is rant and lie.
Well since we are members, how about you tell me what lies he has told? If you watched this 3 set of videos he explains his reasoning for what he does.
@YAAUFA Are you saying you are LDS? One lie that comes to mind immediately is that D&C 132 is about polygamy, which it is not. He also allows others to lie about our doctrine.
@YAAUFA I am not sure I believe you are LDS. I don't recall if it was on his video or on his website, but he said that you can basically pick and choose which commandments to obey. You certainly have your agency to do that, but you should also know that choosing to disobey is the same as choosing damnation rather than exaltation. Also, he is giving anti-Mormons a platform for their garbage and hate. This is a vehicle to bring people away from the church and, at the same time, away from God.
I am a member, but I have been inactive for over 14months now. There are times when I do attend devoutly. My wife and children attend frequently. I take my children to there little church activities. I have no problem with my ward family, they are some of the finest people I have known in my life. Our ward is the ClaytonValley5 in the Walnut creek, CA stake.
Slurring people with the anti label is unjust, considering some of there information is from our documents and history.
@YAAUFA The term fits many that attack the church. They have no reason to do so. I sincerely hope you will return to church. I promise it is the only way to true happiness. The Lord gave us His Church to help us return to live with Him. I am curious why you are less active, if you wouldn't mind sharing.
Some members leave having nothing to do with the church. And some witness against the church. This is solely on that person.
I have grown closer to Jesus Christ and have received more appreciation to what he has done and continuous to do in my life. Being labeled inactive is hurt-some. I may not attend frequently but my Love and Devotion to the Lord and Savior has never weakened.
@YAAUFA First, you have not responded to the things I said about John. Second, you labeled yourself as inactive, I didn't. I simply asked why you don't go to church. Personally, I need to go to church mostly to partake of the Sacrament and renew my covenants with the Lord.
Sorry if I gave you the impression that it was you that labeled me inactive. I was known as inactive by my bishop.
Sometimes I attend the whole Sunday, sometimes I just attend the sacrament meeting or the class. But I am always there for my children when they have a primary activity or a primary program at church. These are battles within me.
Your reply about John Dehlin was to yousnoob. I never went to Dehlin's website. The doctrine for me is just one of many that keep me from attending regularly. Watching General Conference last weekend with my family was nice. The messages would have a deeper affect if they spoke from the heart, THERE OWN WORDS, not reading from a teleprompter.
@LDStothecore Why use teleprompters, rather than trusting the Holy Spirit to speak spontaneously? To many, including myself, the use of teleprompters looks & sounds artificial. Reading through the Book of Acts with a beloved LDS this evening I cannot imagine those mighty apostles using a canned speech. I believe this kind of man's undue concern for appearance & control is a major reason why there is not more manifestation of the Holy Spirit in the midst of people gathering.
@Shulamitefire I already explained this. They prepare the talks ahead of time, by the Spirit. If you don't like what they say, then you need to humble yourself.
Shawn is my boy! He is a real person that is not afraid to reveal his struggles and issues of life. It takes alot for him to stand up for Jesus despite his familly's beliefs.
@Shulamitefire Not at all. I don't have a problem with people disagreeing. He treats others that he doesn't agree with in a very vile way. He has done it to me and most likely, many others.
@Shulamitefire I quoted some verses about treating others with kindness and respect from Ephesians Chapter 4 and McCraney's response was, "This is speaking to BELIVERS treatment of one another - ya idgit." Sounds like he is saying the only people that deserve love and respect are those he agrees with. Is that the Christian way? If I recall correctly, Jesus loved everyone, not only those that accepted Him and He expects us to treat ALL people with love and respect.

@LDStothecore I think that Shawn agrees that persons also other than believers are due kindness & respect. Jesus spoke harshly to persons who prided & presumed themselves as being the one true believers. They included priests & Pharisees - correct? John Dehlin, Shawn McCraney, myself & a great many other people take strong exception to LDS doctrine set forth at 1 Nephi 14:10 & D&C 1:30.
@Shulamitefire Did you not read the message he sent me? He said very plainly that the respect and kindness is for treatment between believers. Then called me an idiot. He is vile. Also, I see nothing wrong with the verses you mentioned. There can only be one Church of Christ, not thousands.
Fortunately a very vast majority of the members of the body of Christ are discerning enough to know & understand & appreciate that the one church of Christ most certainly is not comprised exclusively of members of the Monson movement of Maroni. :-)
@LDStothecore The churches agree concerning the ontology of God & man & soteriology. LDSism has that Bible belief bastardized. One example among numerous is their minimalist view of the glory of Who God is. Joseph Smith blatantly, blasphemously, blunderingly teaches that God was a man who worked hard enough, long enough, to become good enough & big enough to become God. That is not the Christian God!
Very confused

Ask Shawn if he believes Joseph Smith was a chosen Prophet of God or any of the so-called "prophets" on up to Monson. He does not. Ask if he believes LDS temple rituals and garment wearing will contribute to anyone's salvation. He does not.

@MsMambomama PRAISE to the man who communed with Jehovah.
Jesus annointed that Prophet and Seer.
Blessed to open the last dispensation,
Kings shall extol him, and nations revere.
Hail to the Prophet, ascended to heaven!
Traitors and tyrants now fight him in vain.
Mingling with Gods, he can plan for his brethren;
Death cannot conquer the hero again.
This is all true.

jk99611 7 months ago 6
I don't see why everyone posting on here is so upset with the Mormons. I have the same feeling for God that Shawn does. I know he loves me. I"m happy, I have every spiritual feeling that Shawn does, yet I'm Mormon, and this annoys everyone for some reason. Shawn has a relationship with God, so do lots of people in all religions. I just don't get the hate that people have for the church. Live and let live.
newtonchr 7 months ago
@newtonchr

@MsMambomama A genuine AMERICAN Phenomenon, yes! He was. Why don't you just admit it? He was an amazing man who accomplished so much good!

P.S. - I believe Shawn McCraney's daughter took the step her father should of. Love without the need for religious dogma of any ilk.
ToolFan68 8 months ago
I am an agnostic with atheist leanings and I am also an ex-mormon. I think Shawn McCraney is awesome. However, when he makes the statement that you should love your spouse no matter what their religion or belief is, but he then says that an atheist has no motive for loving his spouse, it makes me wonder how someone who can evolve out of Mormonism can't understand how an agnostic could evolve out of the silly belief in incantations and religious dogma.
ToolFan68 8 months ago
@ToolFan68 it may be that with people, feelings can fade over time. If there isn't a spiritual context to maintain those feelings, then when they aren't what they used to be it is easy (especially in America) to just "move on"... aka, get divorced. Pretty common these days.
redlandz1977 6 months ago
So let me see... Shawn's story is that he hated being a hypocrite and decided to call it quits. THAT does NOT make the Church untrue.
I did NOT do sex before mission. I loved my mission too, obeyed all the rules, but I wanted to go when I was 16 and did have a testimony that I got for myself through prayer to God in the wilderness places, and it is all true. I married in temple too, love my wife and have been COMPLETELY faithful 2 her. Shawn, it IS possible to NOT be a hypocrite in this faith
mormonanswerman 8 months ago
@mormonanswerman See if you are strong enough to read "No Man Knows My History" by Fawn Brodie and "Rough Stone Rolling" by Richard Bushman.
ToolFan68 8 months ago
@ToolFan68
Won't change my view.
mormonanswerman 8 months ago
@mormonanswerman

This guy will be gone and forgotten in couple of years and those mormons will still be growing.
loki1830 9 months ago
@loki1830 You only say he's fraudulent because you disagree with him! He's awesome! He's intelligent! He's inspiring to me. Not to put him on a pedestal- he's just a regular guy trying to make a ministry in a culture he grew out of. His teachings are very much from the Bible... man, which Bible are YOU reading from?!?!?
aDividedHeart 9 months ago
@aDividedHeart Shawn disagrees with the bible yet agrees with the koran.
loki1830 8 months ago
@loki1830 we all know Joseph smith will be remembered as the savior of the Church... From what I'v seen, Shawn's been around and blessed well for a long time. Are you pointing your finger at this man, almost like the sadducees did in Jesus' day? Cant attack a man after God's heart can you, is that not biblicle? maybe your bishop, doing wonderful things for his fellow man, is better than that? would you rather be seeking God's heart or your own... thats the way my bible reads.
seechig 8 months ago
@seechig You can say that about shawn. Why does he hate so much and seek to know mans heart? He claims to know the bible yet judges man on a daily basis. that is not the bible but the koran

typical mormon answer you attack the guy questioning your faith but you never actually prove what he is saying to be false. I see this over and over again with mormons. Don't let this guy fool you. He's not as nice as he seems. There was a girl that sent him a letter than had him for a seminary teacher one year. LDS claim erroneously to be the one true church, therefore, according to their 1 Nephi 14:10 & D&C 1:30, everyone else is of the church of the devil. That is prideful exclusivity & abysmal deception. @LDStothecore You believe that the Lord is infinite and almighty? What happened to the lds doctrine that said Jesus is a created spirit? Mt24:35 MK 13:31 Lk 21:33 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away" Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.
awolLDSasap 1 year ago
to ldstothecore. These are valid questions. There are dozens more within the New Testament that prove lds doctrine is a corrupt gospel.
awolLDSasap 1 year ago
@awolLDSasap Yes, I know God is Almighty. Jesus is the spirit Son of God the Father, as are we all. As far as works, the Bible teaches that we must do things. The book of Revelation teaches that we will be judged by our works and there are many NT passages that talk about working. I also know that His words will stand. No argument with that.

@LDStothecore @LDStothecore Humans are NOT pre mortal spirit children of God.

You certainly have your agency to do that, but you should also know that choosing to disobey is the same as choosing damnation rather than exaltation. Watching General Conference last weekend with my family was nice. The messages would have a deeper affect if they spoke from the heart, THERE OWN WORDS, not reading from a teleprompter.

@YAAUFA What doctrines do you have a problem with? Also, what they read from the teleprompters are their own words. They write the talks themselves.

@breezwonder Shawn is the most hateful person I know. I wonder what happened to him.

@LDStothecore I think you only say that because he disagrees with you. :-)

LDStothecore 1 year ago
Fortunately a very vast majority of the members of the body of Christ are discerning enough to know & understand & appreciate that the one church of Christ most certainly is not comprised exclusively of members of the Monson movement of Maroni. :-)
Shulamitefire 1 year ago
@Shulamitefire Then why do all the "Christian" churches disagree and fight with each other?
LDStothecore 1 year ago
@LDStothecore The churches agree concerning the ontology of God & man & soteriology. LDSism has that Bible belief bastardized. One example among numerous is their minimalist view of the glory of Who God is. Joseph Smith blatantly, blasphemously, blunderingly teaches that God was a man who worked hard enough, long enough, to become good enough & big enough to become God. That is not the Christian God!
Shulamitefire 1 year ago
@Shulamitefire There are many doctrines that religions fight over, which is evidence that there is not one church of Christ.
