Also he gets respect from every side not just the South and it's not that many Southerns rappers that get that kind of respect. He has been in the game wayyyyyyyyyyyy longer than Troy and has drop wayyyyyyyyyyy more albums and materil than Troy. When a person says REAL Southern music, the first person they will think of is Face.

Scarface is definitely not in the "Dirty South" category. Being from the East, I grew up listening to Scarface and other legends before I grew up listening to the East rappers. When Scarface was "Action" I was listening to the GB.
Much respect for the awards being held in NY! This Hip Hop is 1, we got to stop dividing it into areas. It's just HIP HOP as a whole! Much respect to the legend Scarface!

He appeared in Willie D's "Play Witcha Mama", with Bushwick and Face on Kool G Rap's "Two to the Head" and with Face on "Hand of the Dead Body" and a remix for "Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It". He also has given them shout-outs several times. Everybody respects Geto Boys and if anyone doesn't do that, they better jump out of a window quickly.

He didn't show up because this is a slap in the face to somebody who is an outright legend in Hip-Hop.....why couldn't he be honored alongside the likes of Rakim or Tribe Called Quest? Why did he have to be boxed into a "Southern hip-hop legend", instead of a "hip-hop legend". Personally, I feel it was some more east cost bullshit...If the music is great, why should it be excluded on the basis of region?
