In my opinion Sean Penn deserved a lot this oscar, and he was so mutch elegant in the cerimony, his spech was so mutch inteligent and his answears in this interview were amazing.

It's sad, but very true. Many have been locked into American Idol while eating their super sized fries for years! I think that America has a lot of potential, as well as many bright educators, BUT there are people in this country that hold us back as a society. I live in Oklahoma, and it always amazes me at the ignorance that I am surrounded by. People stil think blacks should be slaves, and gays are taking over the world. Look at countries like Denmark who no longer have these issues!

Sean totally deserved the Oscar for best acter!!I saw Milk twice and I have seen him in 3 other movies and Milk is by far his best performance! I agree what he said about prop h8,the people for prop h8 are afraid of gay people gaining equal rights because they are afraid of change in society.Just as certain white people were afraid of blacks and other racial minorites gaining more equal rights because they were afraid of change in society as well. There were ALOT better actors and movies up for an Oscar ,than a washed up never-has-been like Sean Penn,in this movie that hardly made a dent at the box office compared to the other nominated movies .
Guess all you have to do is include a gay theme in your movie theses days, to almost guarantee that the powers-that -be will feel compelled to give you the Oscar nod...whether its a good movie or not. Whats the point of an Oscar these days?It used to have something to do with good acting.

actually Gay studies have showned that children (adopted obviously) of Gay parents are healthier and do better than children of straight parents in every field (e.g. better social skills and excelling in academia) and there is no evidence that children of gay parents are more likely than children of straight parents to turn gay

of course the studies are slightly biased in that only gay men are studied because lesbians are harder to study, and that gay couples who choose to adopt are generally better equipped to raise a child than those who don't; also adopted girls of gay men do especially well because there is sort of the girls-raised-by-fathers-tend-to-be-smarter effect
but still, these facts still contradict the popular (and misguided belief) that children of gay couple will become gay (or unhealthy in some way)
