The Supra is a single turbo INLINE 6, the RZ is at least. You save money buying a Supra vs buying a newer Viper, but a '97 GTS goes for $30k - 40k with 450 NA HP and almost 500 Lb. Ft. of torque. Stop looking for car facts from Toretto.

Viper engines are about the meanest you can come across. Over 8 litres makes massive torque. With uprades those engines are monsters and have no real opponents.
But what about the V10 engines produced by Yamaha? They make F1 engines too, yes? Torque is great, but it's even better when it is balanced with Horsepower. The Supra alone has done a lot of achievements during its generation especially with the T88 turbo...

You can do so much with a Supra it's mind-blowing, there are plenty of vids of Supra's smoking Vipers, and this Viper is by no fucking means stock if it is pulling ahead of that Supra. With how much this guy spent on his car he could have bought and modded 2 Supras. Also comes the reliability and maintenance of the Viper, there you have another Supra lol. Also watch the rematch video, Supra owns it.

3800 for a swapped 240sx. 1500 for an used T3/T04r complete turbo kit, 1700.00 For 2 walbro fuel pumps setup, manifold, intercooler, big injectors, aftermarket cams, z32 maf, and free tuning to run E85. Voila 500 hp in a 2600 lb car.
I am sure a Supra would not take much money to pull on a stock Viper, just some fuel and someones hand me down turbo.
@MrCpe9775 I been running on that setup and power level for 18 months without any failures of any type. That translates to 80 weeks without failure, and they have been 80 fun, weeks where boost has been seen. The secret is E85, it keeps engine temps low, so it sees less stress, and frequent oil changes (2000 miles) with best synthetic oil available.
I did this in a 121 cid 4 cyl that is still using the stock longblock with the above mentioned mods. Just advanced timing, and 23+ psi off boost.

Damn. That Viper was pulling away there at the end. I obviously can't say for sure, but it SOUNDS like the Viper driver only pushed it hard for a few seconds, just enough to beat the Supra, then let off. If that's the case, could you imagine what would've happened had the Viper went all out without letting off?! And to beat a Supera with 888 whp is just insane! Those cars are super lite. That must mean the Viper is just insanely power. Like perhaps 1000+ HP.

the viper can be faster here but they don't win races anyways last time i seen them they haven't won any major races unlike Lexus LFA winning all the stock classes. The supra is 5.0liter smaller and 4 cylinder smaller and produces just the same amount of power maximum. Give the supra 5.0liter extra and it be producing way over 3000hp. Toyota Supra and Nissan Skyline, to me, are Japanese muscle cars LIKE the Mustang and Camaro here in the U.S. If you put the same amount of horsepower to both cars, I'm sure it will all depend on the driver. Over all, in STOCK cars, the Viper will beat the Supra 'cause it obviously has more HP.

Maybe it was just my encounter with them but the majority of them were not down to earth and thought if you didn't own a viper that your car was shit. They were just not being very humble about it. @Knot2shaby Let me help you out here a bit. The Viper is a naturaly aspirated V10. This means no forced induction is used to achieve that 600HP mark. The Supra is a single turbo INLINE 6, the RZ is at least. You save money buying a Supra vs buying a newer Viper, but a '97 GTS goes for $30k - 40k with 450 NA HP and almost 500 Lb. Ft. of torque. Stop looking for car facts from Toretto.

Viper engines are about the meanest you can come across. Over 8 litres makes massive torque. With uprades those engines are monsters and have no real opponents.

But what about the V10 engines produced by Yamaha? They make F1 engines too, yes? Torque is great, but it's even better when it is balanced with Horsepower. The Supra alone has done a lot of achievements during its generation especially with the T88 turbo...

@benroll532 uhhh....a stock 2j with maybe 2000 bucks for a ecu and exhaust and injectors and the supra would be walking all over a viper. Stock twins on a 2j can make 450 whp. thats more than your run of the mill viper. Ask me how much it costs to gain the same power on a viper. Do some research before you start talking.
The amount of money needed to put into those 1 and 2jz cant be compared to a higher end car. For the money those motors cant be beat. thats why i bought a 1j.

@Colpire7 Plenty of videos on here with stock Vipers walking on BPU Supras. And for what it's worth, you can pick up a '97 GTS for $35k, modify intake, exhaust and flash the ECU, and make over 500HP, and that's without forced induction. Consider your own advice next time.

@kickwagon You must have misunderstood me. Im not speaking of the mk4 tt supra. Im talking about the motor. I know the mk4's go for a good amount of money, but i was strictly speaking on terms of swapping a 2 or 1j into something. You cant get an srt10 motor for cheap...and working on one isn't cheap either. To spend 35k on swapping a 1j into something like a mk3 supra you'd have a built monster.

@benroll532 have you ever seen how many restrictors are on a stock standard supra? plus its only the turbo which cost quite a bit. having a modded supra is better than a modded viper cuz any mod that goes onto a $80,000 car isnt going to be cheap which is why you see more modded supras than modded vipers. unless every viper you saw was at a drag strip or on youtube

@Suprastar77 SO because the mods to the cheaper car cost less than the mods to the more expensive car it's better? I'm sure my man in the Supra caught back up to that Viper he told him his Supra was better because it cost less. You can pick up a 97 GTS for the price of a Supra now days btw.

It's not a waste on a Supra. You can do so much with a Supra it's mind-blowing, there are plenty of vids of Supra's smoking Vipers, and this Viper is by no fucking means stock if it is pulling ahead of that Supra. With how much this guy spent on his car he could have bought and modded 2 Supras. Also comes the reliability and maintenance of the Viper, there you have another Supra lol. Also watch the rematch video, Supra owns it.

@benroll532 I have a 240sx that is faster then a stock viper, and I spent probably about $7,000 in hp mods including cost of the car itself!.
3800 for a swapped 240sx. 1500 for an used T3/T04r complete turbo kit, 1700.00 For 2 walbro fuel pumps setup, manifold, intercooler, big injectors, aftermarket cams, z32 maf, and free tuning to run E85. Voila 500 hp in a 2600 lb car.
I am sure a Supra would not take much money to pull on a stock Viper, just some fuel and someones hand me down turbo.

@MrCpe9775 I been running on that setup and power level for 18 months without any failures of any type. That translates to 80 weeks without failure, and they have been 80 fun, weeks where boost has been seen. The secret is E85, it keeps engine temps low, so it sees less stress, and frequent oil changes (2000 miles) with best synthetic oil available.
I did this in a 121 cid 4 cyl that is still using the stock longblock with the above mentioned mods. Just advanced timing, and 23+ psi off boost.
