my sister-in-law will literally giggle out loud anytime she hears someone say the word moist. kaleb would love this -- it always makes her think of the word panties...moist panties. i dunno. Ami
Oh swimming....guess who was a swimmer? Yes, that's right. Me. 1650, 400IM were my stronger events. My reaction to having virtually no childhood d/t hours of training? Complete disinterest in competition. IN fact, I don't really like getting in pools and smelling like chlorine. I will certainly cheer you on though.
Phew! I knew you were either serious or leaning toward that kind of approach with what you said. Sorry, I just wanted to be sure I hadn't offended you before I took it as a joke! : ) I had a feeling you meant Fair Trade, too.... : D
i always find your videos really interesting, bro. you have a really fascinating, intellectual perspective i super appreciate. take care.
You are sweet, thank you. And this exchange is amusing, as was my mistake. Thanks for catching that -- I corrected it on the video. Sometimes my mouth does not sync with my brain!
certainly wasn't trying to be rude, i was just honestly curious if you'd considered the difference or if you accidentally meant to say Fair. I'm just a big Fair Trade supporter and you seem like someone who may be interested in the benefits it can bring.
Okay this is totally not a groupie remark (because I don't do 'groupie') but I just can't get enough of your videos lately. Partly it's the content, partly the look (interestingly lit, etc) and I think also the resonance in your voice. It all comes together right.
Oh, I know. It sounds like something out of sci fi, only not in a good way. I recall Dylan saying something about the word "ladyboy" in England. That one, I didn't dislike as much -- it might be one to subvert and reclaim. Sometimes I feel like a ladyboy, particularly when I wear eyeliner, haha.
"Ladyboy" makes me think of the Thailand MTF-transfolk; I've really only thought of it in THAT context for a while, but there's certainly room for more definitions, right?
the word vagina: "i think they could have done better" - hilarious... and so, so true. i despise that word too. i'm not sure if it has to do with being trans or if it's just a truly detestable word. maybe we need to do a study to find out.
i have a pet peeve about people who when you're approaching them , walking on the street , they cant seem to figure out which side to move to so they just aim right for you like a game of walking chicken...i actually decided to call one of em ' on it once and refused to budge ....stick right on my course...and almost got run over by someone else on a bicycle..........my other pet peeve is people being pretentious and not real...down to earth honest about where thy're coming from
Thank you! I haven't been practicing that long -- got licensed in 2003, but have been seeing clients (as a grad student in clinical settings) since 1998. I'm taking a bit of a break from it this summer.
Awesome vlog - beautiful choice in music.

Okay, if you knew how many times I tried to reply to this and youtube ate my comment, you would be flattered. Seriously.

You can blame Alanis Morisette for people not understanding irony.

LOL @ "they could have done better" - it is a totally clinical, completely unsexy word.

Right? That area of the body should have a sexy, dangerous name.

Someone was just telling me they hated "moist." I like "moist" because it makes me think of fresh, hot brownies.

Hi, hope you're taking the bicycle with you? I can visualise you cycling in the Castro.

You always have the best music in your videos. Damn! I haven't seen the end of the video yet...care to share who's playing in the background?
Also, just wanted to say that I got my BA in psychology and I love listening your insights about life. How long have you been in private practice?
