  • Amen,sister!

  • very uncomfortable......

  • curb is my favorite show

  • I am dying to see Season 7... just waiting for the Netflix disk! Wanda is back? Yaaaahoo! You have awesome hair and glasses, BTW.

  • @runly1 *blush* Thank you. <3 Wanda too---can't wait to see the mischief she and Larry and the gang get into.

  • Couldn't agree more Ms sookie1313.

This show cuts through all the PC stuff.

Black. white, brown, yellow, purple, gay, straight, right wing, left wing, religious, athiest, or none of the above.... if you have a brain and a sense of humor,

you'll love this show. Leon (J. B. Smoove) is one of the funniest characters ever in the whole history of TV. Leon is just what this show needed because he brings the ruckus!

    Thanks for posting.

PS I know you meant "Super Dave Osborne" not Einstein.

  • @meltz911 Right back at you meltz911, couldn't agree with you more about JB Smoove---it is impossible not to be entertained when that man is on screen :D Thanks also for the "Super Dave" shoutout---[yes, Einstein is the real life surname of the actor who portrays Super Dave and also Funkhouser. And he is Albert Brooks' brother :D ] Always nice to hear from a Curb fan, thanks for stopping by.

  • @sookie1313 I had no idea his last name was Einstein! You learn something new everyday, thanks for the info. I can't wait until next season, lets hope Leon and Larry have many more adventures!

  • Not what I was expecting, but quite good nonetheless.

  • @jerryhello100 Thanks :D

  • and i was told that blk ppl did not like curb

    and P.S. I LIKE FUNKHOUSER

  • Cool Video, nice to see a fellow "sistah" who enjoys the show as much as I do

    Good job!

  • @atlasshrugged2u *blush* Thanks :D

  • @sookie1313 Your welcome :)

  • Whoopi?

  • God blessed Larry David! he's a genius! I adore his creativity in writing comedy and he's also a great actor! and yeahh Leon is gold for this show

  • Great! in the thumb ya look like Whoopie!

  • fart

  • Nice little writeup sookie!

What a hilarious show, I'm actually watching 7x1 right now and laughing my butt off.

  • @adriancoul Thanks, glad you enjoyed :D

  • Leon kicks butt and brings the show to a new level. The show is so well done and well written.....Mr. David has created a show that has so many great characters it's hard to think of anything that comes even close. Good vid.

  • Why would you make a video where you just read something you've written down? You don't engage with your audience.

  • i knew season 7 would be sub par had they written leon out, if it wasnt for him in season 6 the show wouldnt be AS big a hit as it currently is, i myself have been watching since then and i have to admit its the leon scenes that keep me wanting more, but i also love the show without leon, but season 7 wouldnt have amounted to season 6 without keeping Leon, and still with its forced situations and less of Leon in the 7th season wasnt as good as 6 but still very entertaining

  • Hi Aphasia17, thanks for stopping by. Here's hoping we'll be seeing even more Leon in the next season of Curb :D

  • I agree with you, LD says it for us.

I hope there's another season after this one.

  • Leon is the best, but Larry and Loretta were never married.

  • Right you are MGG---mea culpa, i jumped the gun on LD & Loretta's marital status. Please forgive my error :D

  • I think it is Super Dave OSBOURNE not Einstein

  • Hi MorrisseyOner. The actor who portrays Funkhouser on Curb is Bob Einstein. The character he portrayed on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour was called "Super Dave Osbourne". Einstein is his real surname---he and Albert Brooks are brothers but they don't use their family name. Hope that clears things up.

  • @sookie1313 Oh yeah! That's why he's so familiar. Super Dave! He went well beyond the Smothers Brothers and made that his own character in commercials and TV. He's even referenced in the 1991 action classic The Last Boy Scout (it's a silly movie in some respects but one of the last great buddy action movies)

  • Right you are TubeGhost :D Those Super Dave commercials were so much fun. i have to correct my spelling of Super Dave's surname---as i searched for him here at YouTube i discovered the correct spelling for him is Osborne, no letter "u" :D

  • One of my friends worked security on the original super dave show and he told me that Mr Einstein was a real womanizer.

    LOL...I just don't see it.

  • @MrFrozenCanuck idk, i could imagine women trying to seduce super dave...now as to whether or not he responded, who knows :D Thanks for stopping by. OT PS: hope the families in Claremont Ontario get to keep their homes, it looks like a beautiful community.

  • I hope so too.

Doesn't seem right that a government can just take your family's home away from you.

  • You see, Larry's humor is subtle. It really is all about "curbing your enthusiasm". Anyone can react immediately at something. It takes real self-control to "curb" that reaction just a tad bit more than what you're used to. Many times, his show points fun at not necessarily his actions, but rather....other people's REACTIONS. If they didn't react the way they did, his show wouldn't be as funny as it is.

  • Furthermore, I don't think he would appreciate you referring to his character on "Curb" as a "social misfit". In fact, in a lot of interviews, he resents when people refer to George (the character on "Seinfeld" that was based on Larry) as an idiot. Rather, Larry often feels that HE'S the one being normal (indeed, in real life he's done a lot of the things that George did on the show). So be careful in your analysis. On the show, Larry is often just being Larry...and that is perfectly fine.

  • At last utube937, we agree ["not that there's anything wrong with that"] on something, "Larry is often just being Larry ...and that is perfectly fine". There is another point on which i can no longer "curb" the urge to clarify. i was taking your comments in stride, not having a fit. In fact it was not my intention to respond to your initial comment at all---i only did so because another commenter inquired about it and my take on it and i didn't wish to ignore their query.
  • Oh I see, Larry uses humor (does he really though?). And what made you so sure that i WASN'T using humor?? You had a choice -- you could take it lightly, or you could get defensive...and you chose the latter. A lot of times, Larry will put a statement out there...and it could be somewhat of a backhanded compliment or, at times, it could even be an honest mistake (i.e. the valet). It's all about how you react to the situation in question... Do you take it in stride or do you have a fit?

  • Yes, to answer your question -- it was a compliment. Your reaction is actually pretty funny. Let's go back to the very first "Curb" episode (The Pants Tent), when your hero Larry said something similar to what I said: "It's always great to see black entrepreneurship" as he was sitting at the Mama's Boy Restaurant.

  • Time and time again ("the valet scene", etc), Larry points to how touchy black people can be. You're proving that right now. It seems you have what is known as an inferiority complex. If you don't develop a mindset where you eagerly look into yourself and know your faults, you've already lost the game...

  • What i've proven is that you've managed to put your foot further in your mouth. When LD is in situations like the one at Mama's Boy and the valet interaction, it's done with humor and to illustrate how frequently he [Larry] is a social misfit. i'm fortunate in that my parents raised me to not feel superior nor inferior, but to always do the best at whatever i do, recognize the accomplishments and faults of others as well as my own and deal with them accordingly.

  • fuck off utube937

  • you fuck off, guyonthegrass

  • right on about leon. not enough leon in the show.

  • OMG! leon is too F&%king funny---he absolutely kills me. Thanks again for stopping by and commenting.

  • utube937 just made an ignorant statement!

  • yeah, it was such a bizarre statement, at first i wasn't sure if they were sincerely complimenting [i've experienced that before with people who truly mean well but are too clueless for me to get angry with] . anyway like i said to njomahony, what can you do but be grateful that visitors like you Shon Tariq :-) out number those like utube937, and move on from there.

  • oh dear god. its the 21st century. wake up.

  • y'know, that is exactly what i said to hubby when we read it. *sigh* what can you do, but be grateful that visitors like you njomahony :-), out number visitors like utube937

  • You can watch the new series upto episode 3 at the moment via ovguide now!!!!!

  • wow , such a grand compliment ! thanks to your enthusiasm !

  • i agree i agree its the best show ever!

  • A friend and i were talking about that yesterday. She was saying how much Larry cracks her up and how he'll say and do what no one else would dare. i like how everything no matter how seemingly unimportant is given a 360 resolve, like the plastic on the pkg being impossible to open, and then the box cutter, the thing that he needs to open the other pkg, having the same impossible to open plastic. Comedic genius.

  • I know! lol Curb is the only reason i have HBO

  • i don't know if it's HBO or Curb, but somebody owes you a very big thank you :-)

  • Who cares if Sookie is reading? I like her ENTHUSIASM!

  • *blush* Thank you, and i YOURS dobbsgeorge :-)

  • who cares if Sookie is reading?! She likes Curb so much, she goes so far as to talk about it. Good for you Sookie. Spread the gospel of Larry!

  • Thanks dobbsgeorge---"the gospel of Larry", that's a good turn of phrase :-)

  • The fuck are you reading? Anyway I have the curb episodes on my page of season 7

  • as annoying as someone who makes the effort to tell someone else theyre annoying?

youre such a dick. go flap your lips somewhere else.

  • i dont understand what ricardo villalobos has to do with it? i commented on the woman reading off a card about cye. (which i love by the way) what is being said is ok, just a strange thing to do, dont you think? i guess not, you posted it, anyway , peace to all man kind and all that bullshit...

  • very articulate...
