The setup of the camp is totally unbelievable, as is the overwhelming, sometimes offensively laughable ignorance of the primary character. Totally unbelievable and offensive on every level. The worst movie I've seen in years.

The film should have been about two boys building up a relationship, but it was 95% about a family moving to another house in the country. The boys only met 4 times in the film. I'm very sorry to say this but the ending is NOT stupid... it shows all those kids and adults out there why they should stop being full of prejudice. I thought that a bit with the book, but the movie portrays it in such a wonderful way. You should go see it. It's a work of art, though makes you cry a lot. I never cry with movies, in this one I did. Believe me, it's worth watching.

i felt the book played up Bruno's innocence a bit much...i KNOW that 9-year-olds aren't at all that naive...but loved him nonetheless.

I'm very sorry to say this but the ending is NOT stupid... it shows all those kids and adults out there why they should stop being full of prejudice.
