@abigailisalive No I totally agree, Epica is the shit, but when it comes to classical music, Vivaldi is really a minor footnote. Yes, we are eternal gratitude for single-handedly pioneering medium of the violin concerto, but compare compare his works to other composers of the time (oh, let's say Bach for example), and then compare his work to that of later 19th and 20th century composers (like Mahler and Strauss), in retrospect, no, Vivaldi isn't that complex at all.

I've heard quite a few of these covers and I must say that they are an interesting interpretation and don't disrupt the original melody, however, the band is too much like an accompaniment and everything hangs on the orchestra and the original scores. That needn't be bad either, at least it isn't as bad as a cheesy mindless techno remix :/

They also used a similar strategy when arranging Dance of the Knights for rock band/symphony.
