  • Fifth gear's negative review of the Mclaren compared with the Ferrari Italia was painful to watch.

  • reminded me of an lamborghini

  • brake!!...

    LOL

  • time attack on the nurburgring???

  • Max torque from 3000rpm to 7000rpm, max power 7000rpm, can't see the sense on shifting up at 8000.

  • @fauket1

when you shift at 8000, you get to a higher rpm in the next gear, so more overall hp.

  • @ASSHOLELA

Yes, but with less power and torque during actual shift. Shifting up at about 7200rpm in this engine means driving nearly allways with max torque. And the instant power at 6000rpm is higher than at 8000.

  • @fauket1 because you always have a better acceleration on a lower gear ;)

  • @wololo10 well, that's not what Dynos say.

  • @fauket1 Because you'd have lower revs in the next gear.

  • @fauket1 the red line is higher because when you change up its still in the powerband mate

  • @fauket1 sorry for your ignorance but when u shift higher the rpms stay high on the next gear and u loose less power

  • @fauket1 rpm limit = 8500.

  • @fauket1 They shift up at 8000 because it still gives more power then than they would at say 5500 rpm, which the next gear would give.

  • @fauket1 I would guess it is because car-lovers like the sound of a roaring engine. And since this seems to be a promotional video, they propably told the driver to push it a bit.

  • @fauket1 because of the sound at 8000 :)

  • brake.... HAHAHAHAHAHAH! lol

  • I love this car but be truthful to yourself, it just doesn't look as brutal as the old version. The GT3 of this on the other hand, FUCK YES!

  • they should make it with a stick shift option that would be cool

  • THAT'S IN PORTUGAL!!!!!!!!!

  • I bet there's a beemer engine inside

  • @Iam18yearsolddddd "V8 is designed and developed by McLaren in partnership with Ricardo in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex"-wikipedia. Nothing to do with BMW

  • @Iam18yearsolddddd Thats int he McLaren F1 not in this car.

  • It sounds like the original Knight Rider car.

  • Lack of style, soul and grace

  • @JeromeDH92 enough about you.. lets talk about the car ;) I kid! I happen to agree with you about the soul side of things. However, you can always get it pimped ;)

  • @JeromeDH92

That's exactly what the European motorcycle manafacturers (read British and Italian) said about Japanese motorcycles like Honda. Then when those started dominating motorcycle racing and offered fool proof products which could be bought for half the money a top British or Italian motorcycle offering the same performance, the game was over

Style is something subjective, and concepts such as "soul" and "grace" are VERY subjective

Btw,compared to the 512BB a modern Ferrari has no soul

  • Powered by pure Mclaren!

Lewis Hamilton for 2011 world champion

  • Powered by Infiniti.

  • @clarda1 errrrr? I think you mean Red Bull if anything.

  • @LeviHare Actually i just read an article in car and driver and they used to use the infiniti vk45 engine in their race cars, maybe not in this one.

  • @clarda1 Whatttt lol

  • @abohthlool google it

  • @clarda1 Infiniti dose not make a 3.8 V8

  • I liked this car.
