I have a gap also and i'm still thinking about closing mine..You can get clear hair rubberbands and they will pull your teeth together. Just look up orthafill and it's just like that but the difference is clear hair rubberbands are cheaper..

I have a gap tooth and I love it. It is way bigger than yours (a straw is too much to stay in place in my gap). Back in the Caribbean we are taught to embrace our gaps, ppl love it and wish they had. So i guess that is why I never had a problem with it.

@ Summernd, my ortho told me that may happen so after I have my braces taken off he is going to put a wire on the back to make sure it does not come back apart. Hopefully that will help.

@ptjrfqt All I had wrong with my teeth was a gap and braces worked- but like I said in my other comment, if I just go a few days without my retainer it comes back (which sucks if you lose it, have to get another tooth pulled and it doesnt fit or have a toothache and can't wear it for awhile). I've pretty much given up because I'm sick of the retainer- I'm 25!!!

I suggest you to use Orthofill bands for your teeth gap concern.

My gap is really wide. I got braces today, but then I kinda didn't want to because I like the way I look already.... I needed braces because the gap was getting wider and was beginning to space out my other teeth >: Can't let that happen...

Riiiiiiiight, why can't we all just be realists and instead of saying "oh its beautiful , you dont have to worry" and all that bullshit, we just put it like it is : "you have a gap in your tooth, it DOES look funny and you will probably hate it your whole life, the only thing is you become more callous to it. the end." I have a gap tooth and I love it. It is way bigger than yours (a straw is too much to stay in place in my gap). Back in the Caribbean we are taught to embrace our gaps, ppl love it and wish they had. So i guess that is why I never had a problem with it.

i also hate my gap, it honestly keeps me talking to guys, and i hate it with all my heart. i have been begging for braces by with the support of all my friends and them saying its not even that bad i have learned to semi-love myself. but i still refuse to smile in pictures, that will always be a nono.

I play with my gap.. when i rinse out after brushing my teeth i make all the water come out my gap, just to make it more fun, i'm still trying to love my gap because bracees seem out the question for my partents, and i have a bad overbite and one of my front teeth is chip (sigh) all well , at least I never had a cavity:P

I'm 16 years old and i have a 4mm gap! its horrible! I'm in modeling and some people love it and some people don't... but really? i don't understand why people freak about it, I've heard all kinds of jokes and I've cried my weight in tears... my boyfriend loves it but i dunno i feel like I'd be beautiful without it???? should i get braces? of put up with the people? at this point its hard to tell which would be easier.

@ Summernd, my ortho told me that may happen so after I have my braces taken off he is going to put a wire on the back to make sure it does not come back apart. Hopefully that will help.

I love your video, I too am a gap tooth beauty. I use to hate my gap and then I learned to love and as 2 days ago I decided to say good bye to it. I had my braces put on yesterday. Not that I dont think that I am beautiful with it, I will just be different flavor of beautiful just as you are.

@ptjrfqt All I had wrong with my teeth was a gap and braces worked- but like I said in my other comment, if I just go a few days without my retainer it comes back (which sucks if you lose it, have to get another tooth pulled and it doesnt fit or have a toothache and can't wear it for awhile). I've pretty much given up because I'm sick of the retainer- I'm 25!!!
