  • I got goosebumps in the first 30 seconds! wow!

  • What's the song at the beginning called?

  • beautiful songs sung by beautiful people. I wish i had had a chance to see the pirate queen. Hadley Fraser is soooo beautiful.

  • Wow he is really short XD

  • is there a sountrack out??

  • Yep

  • Stephanie J Block !!! :)

  • there are no words strong enough to describe the talent that this woman possesses.

  • I agree completely!!!

  • I saw her in Wicked. BEYOND amazing.

  • Not bad but not really great. Like the rest of the musical "Not good enough"

  • She makes it look so easy

  • how did this show flop? the music is so amazing, and sjb is so f'ing amazing!

  • My thoughts exactly.

  • Sorry kid, it takes alot more than beautiful music and a talented actress to make a show work. Sweeney flopped in it's first run. Alot of shows do. Sometimes it has nothing to do with the piece at all. But more to do with the buisness of it. But I think this show in particular (from what I've read)apparantly lacked a good quality story line. It had lots of beautiful music and dancing but didn't have the story Les Mis did. (Notice I said APPARANTLY. I didn't see it, so I can't say for certain)

  • I've seen so many shows on Broadway for the last 15 years of my life and this was definately the best I've ever seen. There's something wrong with Broadway these days if something this beautiful, stunning, compelling and moving can't last.

  • Ive seen it it was wonderful!

  • I didn't know that this was a musical! I have the book and I love it!

  • Love it, wish I could see this show!

Y'know, this could be a perfect song for Elizabeth/Will;).

  • I Love it sooooooo much !!!!!

Ich kann es gar nicht oft genug hören, ich liebe diesen Song-Mix !!

    LG Nina

  • I did NOT think it was trash and I saw it in chicago and New York. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I think the Cast Recording is very worth having.

  • It's closed because it was a piece of trash. This time the reviews were right on.

  • maybe its a good thing I didnt go see it then :P oh well I still like this song anyway :D

  • it was not trash..if it opened in London, it would have been fine, and then we would have loved it because American's can't think for themselves...even if this was a piece of trash, Stephanie alone made it worth it...how could you insult such talent..

  • I saw it and it wasn't a piece of trash. The dancing was amazing and the singing excellent except for Queen Elizabeth who you couldn't understand. Otherwise even in the crappy seats it was good.

  • Critics hated it, theater snobs (most didn't even see it) claimed to hate it. Every season, there needs to be a show that everyone can just hate for fun and Pirate Queen happened to be that show. However, the vast majority of people that actually saw it loved it.

  • My original comment stands- although it's a moot point since the play is long gone.

  • So sad the show closed

  • I liked that! I especially enjoyed the spirited dancing. I can't believe it's closed already! >_<

  • I heard the pirate queen wasnt that great

  • Pirate Queen is closing on June 17th. Article is on Broadway . com

  • his voice sounds really deep compared to when he talks. the whole cast is absolutely fabulous!!!

  • Gyah! I can't believe I missed this! Thank you!

  • You're welcome :D isn't it great??

  • Yeah, way great. So have you seen the show? Unfortunately, I don't watch the View or maybe I would have seen it when it was on.

  • I haven't seen The Pirate Queen yet, but I hope to soon when i have the time
