Islanders Third Jersey

This only proves that the Islanders front office is dense.

We have been asking for those jerseys for YEARS. The jerseys we won the cups in were some of the best in the NHL, they were sharp looking.

They should have never, ever touched it.

Next year we not only get the royal blue jersey full time, but the white one as well.

The royals will continue to be the alternate during 2009-10. Then they will become their full-time jerseys (with a throwback road white version too) starting in 2010-11. The team is really emphasizing this "look" now though...

It's awesome and long overdue.
